I tend to agree with this advice, but would offer the caveat that instead of having "employees" you should really use "independent contractors" to the extent that you are able too. That way you still make money off their labor but don't directly pay the myriad of costs associated with employees (workers comp., unemployment insurance, FICA, etc.).
