I sort of (maybe) disagree? I think there was in fact a state of affairs that can be described by the bluepill, in which the platitudes were more-or-less factually correct.

OP genuinely has a values problem, he genuinely does fail to see women properly and has skewed priorities. They responders are also, in many cases, egregiously redpilled and crazy. It's so frustrating. How is it that the only thing of the bluepill that survived the socialmedia slop is the platitudes, and not the underlying philosophy?

So I don't normally comment in these threads (check the flair, I'm normie as all can be), but I really wanted to respond to these comments because I think you're missing something very important. You are an extremely extroverted person. I don't think you realize this. Most people DO NOT have multiple intershifting friend groups. You are at the extreme far end of normal here. You say in another comment that you think this is more or less how most people find their partners, but I really think you…

Another angle to the whole discussion is, it's possible that it's the deviation that's important. Imagine someone with average looks and personality — how does that person's attractiveness change as you alter the sliders? Is having a "4/10" personality a huge downgrade from a "5/10"? I personally think that looks doooon't hugely matter unless you're below a 4 or above an 8, or if you're on a dating app. Having said that, I think personality is also overstated — unless you're trying to date in a …

It's kind of a shame. All the kids are super-online now, and the discussion's probably filtering down to them.

I'm very bluepilled, but I think this is... an awful line of argument. What do you mean, "Why did you, as a vulnerable young person who definitionally has very little life experience, listen to the adults around you when they gave you advise? Are you stupid?" That's insane to ask. That's a huge burden to put on literal children. In a real way they do, in fact, have limited agency and ability to engage in the world. When you're 15, "men and women" are not your peers; you have a math test and mayb…

I definitely think that's racism, and it's concerning that very high politicians (say, the President and his nerd friend) seem to sympathize with those arguments. At the same time, I think a lot of powerful companies and institutions have engaged in DEI practices, and the previous President had a very strong hand in encouraging those practices — this is also racism, and possibly even more concerning because it was actual society-wide policy for a period. I guess in the end we're forced to fight …

I think we have a lot of factual agreement. For a long time, black people have been passed over (or worse). And now, it's very worrying that people of color are often just assumed to be DEI hires out of hand. That's racist. But I think the fundamental anti-segregationist and anti-racist principle is that you should not get fewer opportunities or different treatment because of the color of your skin. That's, maybe, racism as such. We can talk about all the ways black and white people have had dif…
