It’s already changing! Where I live it’s actually not common to shave everything off anymore, women prefer to have a ”triangle” nowadays. I’m SO glad to see that change, because when I was a kid and started growing hair I immediately started shaving. Now I rock the triangle and I LOVE IT. Much nicer than the scarred skin with ingrown hairs, random pimples and dark spots from post-inflammatory hyperpigemntation.

Omg I saw that comment today and thought exactly the same!! True! For me, they told me beforehand to take painkillers before going to my appointment (but the gyno and the nurse were both women. I’ve never been to a male gyno and never will, they don’t care about women’s pain and suffering. I heard from a co-worker that in the hospital she used to work at, the male gynos would talk about their patients on lunch break and laugh about how their vulvas looked like!). But yeah I would have needed to ask for numbing separately, it’s a shame it isn’t a standard…

I’m also a huge fan of the copper IUD! Getting it hurt like a bitch, but it can be inside my uterus for the next 10 years and it has caused my period pain to completely disappear (even tho for most it makes the pain and the flow a little worse). The best part about it is that I feel like myself again without all the extra hormones.
