Fine. A line cook. Eating and cooking is present in every relationship, but most women would never go for a cook at say a McDonald's.

I have never even heard of men doing that to women unless it was at the behest of another woman.

The product is bad, but the person buying the product is dumb, especially when there are other more stable or healthy products out there that are cheaper to boot.

Sorry, it's a slang thing. In this context, I used it to point out something that is seemingly obvious, but apparently not to you. Admittedly, it was a bit rude, and looking back, I would word it differently.

I don't know about it just being about getting laid. If that's all they cared about, they could just get a prostitute. These guys are looking for an actual relationship, or more succinctly, to be genuinely wanted.

This is why I stated, "That would be ideal." I don't think anyone should be forced to do anything. I will, however, voice my opinion on what I think would be better for everyone as a whole.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/23 07:48 PM

Coercion is a non argument. The analogy implies rape. If we make an exception for rape and medically necessary abortions are you in favor of banning the rest? If not, there is no reason to bring that up. Once the operation starts (after conception), you should not be able to back out as that is directly killing the other person.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/23 05:31 PM
4

But that is intellectually inconsistent. If a newborn doesn't have personhood, there is literally no difference between killing the newborn before or after birth.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/23 03:26 AM
1

That legally isn't considered an abortion, bad argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/23 02:51 AM

But in this situation, it's not the government telling you to give up a kidney. You volunteered the kidney, and then after the operation began, you backed out, and the person who was supposed to receive it dies.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 02:43 PM

Not when you account for the actual job and experience. The 'evidence' typically showing women receiving lesser compensation is just aggregate of all women vs all men. It doesn't take anything but sex into account (not job type, exprlerience, hours per week, danger, length of tenure, etc.)

I always took the "run through" and "used up" to be referencing her mental and/or emotional state over the physical condition of the woman. I think, women tend to take it as the physical meaning which may be part of the big disconnect between the male and female pov.

One of the most cited reasons for divorce is financial. Women leave men that lose their job through no fault of their own. Essentially the same as getting seriously ill. If I had a link to see all of the stats, that would be great. It's hard to know the totality of the picture if I keep getting trickle down stats. It was logical to assume my earlier stance because of the numbers you presented. If women were 15% more likely to cheat with a serious affair, and men were 12% more likely to cheat via sex worker, it only makes sense to know 15 is bigger than 12. We can both agree that, generally, everyone is a shallow ass hole that likes to hide behind rationalization…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 02:22 AM

That is a different statistic than what you presented. Adding the context explains it more, but how your initial post was laid out, it came off very disingenuous. That being said, does this not show that women cheat more than men? That isn't a good look for the "less shallow sex" either...
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/22 11:24 PM

I'm not speaking one way or the other on who's more interested, but that is an extremely disingenuous take. Women don't approach period, so you can't determine who's more attracted based on how much said sex approaches the other.

There are many cases where abortion is agreed upon until a pregnancy happens then the woman changes her mind with no recourse from the man. The reverse is also true. Also, using your logic: it's the woman's responsibility to determine that the man will pay for the child and be a father rather than say "he should step up" as an excuse to not take responsibility for her actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/22 08:44 PM
1

Just using the exact words women use when they put men on the hook for an unwanted pregnancy. In all honesty, I think the men should step up and take responsibility, but that only works when abortion is either illegal or requires consent from both parents, without that, it's responsibility without authority.

You are missing the bigger picture. At the beginning of human history, men and women were on equal footing. The men took the power because they could. At any point in time, if the women were able to take power they probably did, but it never lasted because men took it back. It doesn't matter what you are "allowed" to do, if you want to lead, you set the rules and force others to obey. Going by what is "allowed" will never result in becoming a leader.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 12:15 PM

Women have had the exact same chances as men, they just always fail to gain power. It's not like women didn't exist through the entirety of human history amd just popped up during the suffrage movement. Women existed and had the opportunity to gain power if they were able to, they just didn't or couldn't.

If only that were the case, sadly our society has gone the complete opposite direction and has completely screwed over real relationships as a whole in order to replace them with disposable acquaintances that are only good for one-night-stands. There is no longevity in intimacy anymore, dating and marriage is expected to be temporary, much to the detriment of everyone involved, but in my opinion, it mostly effects the children (and quite devastatingly so).

I mean, the scenario we are talking about is man and woman have sex. Woman gets pregnant. Woman wants to keep it, man doesn't. Woman keeps it anyway and has the state force man to pay child support. She knows that he doesn't want the kid and thus won't be present in their life. Just because people intentionally make a decision and wanted to do so, it doesn't mean that it isn't a mistake. I could decide to eat an entire cake and like it, still a mistake. Yes, it is possible that they didn't know …

Irresponsible people should face the consequences of their actions. The single worst thing that happened to the US (and especially the black community) was establishing the welfare state we are currently experiencing. The black community has gotten poorer, less educated, more unruly, more hedonistic, since welfare was instated.

No, I get that the state has their own views, but if a woman gets pregnant and the man wants nothing to do with the child, she would be making a mistake if she kept it. That is what a lot of women think, but if the guy ever finds out about her strategy, he would feel extremely disrespected. He would think that she IS easy, just not with him. I think that people tend to conflate being promiscuous and "slutty" with being sexual. One can have a very positive outlook on sex and not be with a different person every week. Also, I think that shame needs to be reintroduced into our society. Not necessarily in the same puritan way as before, but too many people are living life as dregs and not contributing. I don't think anybody in this day and age takes accountability anymore. Men are not who they once were, but women aren't either. Damn, it sucks how rare it is in women today to just try to make the relationship work. It's so sad that it has to be listed and isn't just expected.

For me personally, this is what I look for: -Loyal -Does not participate, and has not participated, in hook up culture -Able and wants to be a mother -Only looks for serious LTRs that have potential for marriage -Intelligent (couldn't care less about schooling more about coherent thought processes) -Friendly and respectful to all walks of life unless given reason otherwise -Not horribly out of shape -Cute face -No tattoos -Doesn't smoke anything, consume illicit substances, or drink to the point…

But the stats don't lie, and the overwhelming majority of people who commit crimes, do what society deems undesirable come from single parent households. Specifically single mother households (single father households don't have the increased likelihood of delinquency or degeneracy).

It's because of hookup culture, city girls getting "flewed out," sugar culture, etc. Real relationships where the couple build with each other are ceasing to exist, and the ones that do participate in good faith are nearly always taken off the dating market early on.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 07:57 AM

That's true, but there are hardly any women like that and part of the reason is society tells them to not be like that.

It was a response to the OP... the claim was that men have fallen below their original expectations. My rebuttal was that not only men, but everyone has fallen below that and demonstrated it by showing men and women from when the expectations were met wouldn't pick the available modern choices. Overall the culture has shifted quite a bit, but what men are expected to bring to the table hasn't really changed all that much. The major change in the expectations of society is that women are no longe…

No need for personal attacks. We were doing a thought experiment where we plucked a typical male and a typical female from the 50s and see how they would react to the dating market of today. And the truth of the matter is both parties would be absolutely disgusted with their options. Men and women just aren't offering their partner what they did in the past.

I'm not trying to say people with mental health issues aren't datable or worthy of LTRs, just that it is a red flag. Red flags aren't inherently bad and aren't deal breakers, they are indicators that one has to dig a little more to see if the person is actually worth it. I.e. someone staying out late every night is a red flag, but it could have an innocent explanation (work) once you figure out the reason, or it could be a bad thing (cheating).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 08:34 PM

That's fair, I moreso used that statistic because it is a concrete data point showing that there are a lot of mentally unstable women out there. Them treating the problem is a good thing, but mental illness itself is a red flag when it comes to relationships.

Sure, half of the marriages occur by 30, but marriage rates overall are down precipitously. Women are increasingly actively looking to not settle down and want to "explore" or "find themselves." Read fuck a ton of guys, hot girl summer, hoe phase, and all that. Then when they get older and their options begin to dwindle, all of a sudden they turn around and start demanding LTRs. The thing that sucks is by this point, most of the men that would have gladly given them marriage and loyalty in their…

/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 12:08 PM

Again, I'm not disputing your claim that men in general are trash today, my argument is that both genders have fallen equally. Also, the 1950s man would not only be turned off by the sexual liberation of every woman, but would refuse to tolerate a woman that didn't cook or clean, was very argumentative and abrasive, and had the mouth of a sailor. Everything about modern women would repulse the man, just like everything about the typical modern man would repulse the woman.

I would argue that the man wouldn't find a single woman worth marrying unless she was a rare highschooler that hadn't had sex yet. In the 50s, men, in general, did not marry woman that they knew wasn't a virgin unless it was because of him.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 11:31 AM

What you are saying does have truth to it, but there is one major flaw in your argument about TRP and men still wanting women. The men in this day and age only want the women for sex nowadays. They are increasingly refusing LTRs and marriage rates are dropping precipitously because of it. The truth of the matter is both men and women in our society are less valuable. The only way to ingrain "no means no" is by getting most women on board and following through with it. The reason why a lot of guys don't understand the concept is because the vast majority of women say no when they actually want to have sex. Some call it playing hard to get. Men are taught that no means no in a lecture setting, but when they date in the real world, they learn that it is not correct.

I think the best course of action would be to leave. To the men that you did have sex with after the pressure, they feel that their tactics were validated and correct. Not saying it's right, but the concept is the same as giving a crying child ice cream. They learn that when they cry, they get ice cream, which means that crying is a positive thing.

Like another commenter said, OLD has globalized the dating marketplace. There is also social media involved and people only see the good times of relationships not the bad. These two components cause people to be much less patient, accepting or willing to work with their partner. They assume the grass is greener because of Instagram and they think that the dating pool is endless because of the internet. Tldr: social media fucked up dating, especially locally.

I'm not trying to say AMALT or AWALT, I know that everybody is different as well as not every woman past 30 is automatically damaged goods. However, I know that women are able to get into relationships easier than men so if one is over 30 and single, there is more likely to be an unresolved issue than a man who is over 30 and single.

The difference is, usually, mem need to confront and surpass their trauma before women start to take them seriously (hence less baggage due to two reasons: fixing themselves so child trauma is no longer relevant and less relationships due to the time needed to correct aforementioned trauma). Conversely, women tend to suppress their trauma by hiding in dysfunctional relationships or sleeping around to get hollow validation, compounding their trauma.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 11:14 PM

Fair, even more of a reason to avoid older single women, they are more likely to have serious issues that haven't been addressed in the 20+ years they had them. There are plenty of men that have issues as well, but those issues usually act as a barrier to relationships so they are forced to face and overcome them before beginning the trek to find a partner (meaning less baggage).
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 11:02 PM

While one's childhood is part of it, there is still a lot of baggage to be gained from failed relationships, long and short. Also, if there is childhood trauma/baggage, unless they go through a lot of therapy to fix themselves, they are already a lost cause with regards to healthy relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 10:54 PM

Trust me, not believing these statistics or, more realistically, actively discounting them is squarely mainstream in the west as a whole. It's sad,, but this post is going to get an extremely small amount if traction because the half that know this already know it and those that don't believe the statistics are just going to dismiss it. I never said that the bar wasn't low for men. But I think there is a big distinction to make, there are really two bars for men, the one that is low is the bar for commitment. The other bar that the other commenter alluded to is the surface level, materialistic bar, which has gotten astronomically high in the past couple years due to the globalization of the dating market. Well in men's defense, that is because people in general have pushed everyone to not 'shame' anymore. A lot of the time the people "changing" never did, it was just brushed under the rug or ignored because of the initial attraction or lust one person had for the other. This is why involving your family in your partner selection is so important. Your family is not glamoured by the honeymoon phase and will help you decide what's best for you wholistically. This trend of excluding families from having any input or say in who you date has lead to a lot of problem relationships. Another major factor …

If women really don't want to have kids, it's very easy. Also, yes, there are shit men out there, but these women choose those shit men. There are countless good men that are left perpetually in the friend zone because they respect the woman, but those women ignore them and get knocked up by the loser fuckbois that bail. Women need to have some accountability in this.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 02:46 AM

The premise of the nuclear family is both partners being selfless towards each other and their children, just in different ways. The woman does need to be willing to give herself to her man, but the man is tasked with the responsibility of caring for, providing for and physically protecting her. One of the main problems today is that women still want their man to maintain that traditional role, but don't want to be traditional themselves.

You are correct, but there is an increasingly large number if men that are both relationshipless and sexless. People do drastic things when they get desperate. When you are a 30 year old man that is not only a virgin, but never even been on a date before, it really fucks up your worldview. Just for the record, I don't blame women for the rise in the number of male virgins/incels (by the actual definition, not colloquial). I get that, I really do. It is the same concept of the awkward kid that was bullied to the point of becoming a school shooter. It's not an excuse and their choice is not the correct one, but there is an explanation and reason why they became the way they are. All I ask is just a little more awareness of men's issues so we get less of the good men to degenerate into becoming a leech on society.

No, I agree with you 100%. That is life. There are winners and losers in this world no matter how you slice it. Essentially what you just stated is that there are no men on the planet that can satisfy your requirements. Either they are fuckbois that only have one night stands with you, or the are trash that you wouldn't consider for that even though you would like to have a relationship with them. If you have casual sex (especially for women) you lose a large portion if your ability to have a healthy relationship. It goes both ways
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 08:01 AM

In my experience, most men that prescribe to TRP wish with all there might that the blue pill ideology was the real or correct one, but aren't able to because there aren't any women that would fulfill their part of the blue pill world. RP is the reality that men face, not the ideal picture that they want. The vast majority of men that are RP would love a relationship, but it is not possible due to the vastly overwhelming majority of women that have casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 07:58 AM

The problem with your statement is that you are conflating two different groups of men: the men that have casual sex who you don't value, and the men that want relationships. There is negligible overlap. The men that want relationships hardly ever have casual sex. These same men determine women that have had casual sex to not be worthy of a relationship. I mean personally, I am pro life, but with the advent and acceptance of abortion, men lose all agency when it comes to fathering children. Don't try to use the abstinence argument because you and I both know that won't work. If the man wants the woman to abort but she doesn't, why should he be punished for her choice?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 09:35 AM
2

That is a bad faith argument. I understand that there are things in life that are unfair and can't be fixed, but does that mean we shouldn't try to fix the things that are fixable? Especially a problem created by humans themselves (unjust legislation).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 09:10 AM
2

Yes, ideally the parents should both look after the child, but if abortion is a thing that exists and is allowed, the woman has all of the power in her hands. If she wants to keep the child, the man has no say. If she wants to abort, the man has no say. This is unfair and inequitable in favor of women. Allowing the man to walk away would make it fair. If men aren't allowed to walk, then women shouldn't be allowed to abort.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 02:53 AM
2

The difference is, once the woman is pregnant, the man has no rights with the child. If she wants an abortion, the man has no say. If she doesn't want an abortion, the man has no say. The power is squarely in the hands of the woman. If she wants to have the child, either wait till marriage to have sex or understand that you will be raising the child without stealing from the sperm donor.

The thing that changed was OLD, social media, and globalization in general. Girls and young women are no longer limited to the men in their vicinity. In the past a small town girl from Iowa settled down with boy from the same town, now that girl is getting hit up by men from quite literally across the country. Why settle for the average/below average boy next door when you can get "flewed out."
