After I get past a basic introduction, I like asking about work. I'm lucky enough that I like my job and it's so important to my happiness that I want someone who feels the same way about her job. Generally, I can gauge how much she likes her job based on the tone of her answer. Then I'll say, "What would you be doing if money was no object?" It's really up to you to decide where to take the conversation. I recommend making a list of what's important, then coming up with some questions to figure…

They present it like introversion is the step before autism. I hate how spot on that description is. But you're absolutely right about the introversion/extroversion continuum. I consider myself an introvert but I definitely have extroverted characteristics. Some people just like to play victim. You can't change your personality, but you can learn effective strategies for interacting with people.

Nothing wrong with that. I recommend finding a coffee shop that you like where you can befriend the employees and just talk to other patrons. I've met some really nice people doing that.

I see your point, but I'll say that it depends on the friend you bring. If he's charming and way more advanced than you in terms of game, you're just setting yourself up to fail. My best friends and I have great back-and-forth banter but we're also close in terms of the level of game we run.

The most important thing is to get out of your own head. So many people miss opportunities because they're trying to think of what to say next instead of actually listening. I have a pretty set routine of conversation topics (family, dream job, favorite places in the city, music, most recent vacation) but something people don't realize is that we tend to include irrelevant details in a story or answer. Try to pick up on them and ask her to expand, especially if it's something she sounds excited …

Steps for beating ex-gf depression: lots of exercise. You need the endorphins. new experiences. Going to New York will be a good start. Try new stuff, see new things, and meet new people. Make fond memories that don't involve her. expand your social circle. Join some kind of organized activity that will get you out there. Sports league, volunteer, etc. hone a skill that you didn't have time to pursue when you were with her. Breakups can be tough but the program above has helped me defeat my onei…

I don't think there's a right answer here. It's more about your attitude when doing whatever you do. I always pay but I don't make it a big deal, I just smile and say, "I'll get this one." Usually she gets me a drink or something at a later date and it's not a big deal. I've also had girls insist on splitting and I always let them (again, I smile and say OK). If you put too much thought into it you'll either come off stingy or unsure of yourself -- neither are good. I think it only comes off as …

A fair criticism. I stopped enjoying videos games so that's a large reason for not playing anymore. I meant it more in the sense that if video games aren't something you're passionate about, try exploring new hobbies.

I'll give you my honest opinion but understand it might not be well received. Stop playing video games. It's not a hobby that's interesting to talk about. Girls are a huge minority in the gaming world so unless you're totally committed to meeting a girl like that, you'd be better off finding a more relatable interest. My other issue with video games is that they don't expand your mind. Read, pick up an instrument, find new music, learn to cook, travel, or join a sports league. Everyone can be pa…

One of the reasons you might be seen as a creep is body language. Obviously I'm not there to see but if you aren't approaching confidently and at ease, it will come off creepy. The tone of voice is also way more important than what you say. Lots of respect for getting started at 18. I would never have had the confidence at your age to approach a random girl at a coffee shop.

Nice job. That sounds like a good example of how well touching works! Touch her leg, hold her hand, make her laugh, and kiss. Hang out with her again and be yourself. Don't be afraid to hold her hand or put your arm around her before you go in for another kiss. If you want it to go further, try taking her shirt off or rubbing her leg but respect her if she says no.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
