The study always comes up with mixed results though. That isn't a very scientific way to make a claim.

You conviniently left out the part i quoted. Also those studies have some major issues and no long term follow up. The main issue i have is the study really only recorded a year post surgery. The majority of post surgery trans people will be living their lives in the honeymoon phase of the surgery and like i said originally it's a temporary fix for a complex disorder. They will live their lives and get a much needed confidence boost but once life returns to normal i wouldn't be surprised if thei…

Yes i am. This is literally from your link. It shows no evidence of mental health improvement from gender affirming surgery. Although a 2019 study of 2,679 transgender people demonstrated an association between gender-affirming surgery and reduced utilization of mental health treatment, a correction to the study issued in 2020 reported no mental health benefits after comparison with a control group of transgender people who had not yet undergone surgery.

and that it is resolved when they are allowed to surgically transition and live, There's no real actual psychological studies that support that. It's just the cheapest and quickest bandaid for a very complex mental disorder.
