I wonder if his parents can be charged with anything. Maybe not, since he’s technically a “person of interest” at this point. But they sheltered him and helped him get away … ugh.

I love how he adds he didn’t want to “make her self-conscious and upset.” Whatever, dude. Don’t try to say you did this for HER. You only refused to see her in the bath bc you think periods are gross. Grow up.

I was narc supply to one of my exes. I had inklings before, but now I’m sure of it. It hurt to read this but I’m glad I did.

Oh my fucking god ... Danny is 31, dating a 21-year-old (who is gorgeous) and gave her literal dog shit on her birthday (link here but I don't suggest you watch it). This cretin is the epitome of low-value-male.

Anyone know if these asshats have sponsors? Are part of a podcast network? How anyone would associate with these two douches is beyond me.

I had an NVM ex who valued his cats over me. If I was sitting on the couch and got up, and a cat had taken my seat, he’d tell me to sit somewhere else bc that was the cat’s seat now. Or if I got up and the cat started eating/licking my food, he’d see it but wouldn’t do anything and then tell me it was my fault for “not being more vigilant” with my food. Fuck that noise.

Omg … there but for the grace of god go I, if I had stayed with some NVMs I dated. She needs to dump him yesterday.

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. I’m also currently in a healthy relationship after being in a few hella toxic ones. I’ve been worried about being “clingy” and reaching out to my BF too much. I told him this, and he looked confused and said “I don’t think you’re too clingy!” He’s never ONCE expressed any negative feelings about our contact level or how often we see each other. It’s been an adjustment for me and I find that kind of sad … we’ve been together over a year, and I still get nervous sometimes when…

Oh my god … are we the same person? I thank my lucky stars every day that I started having sex later than most of my friends (ONLY because the guys I was interested in while I was celibate were losers, so I’m glad I never encountered a chance to be impregnated by them) and that I stayed on contraception with the guy I first had sex with even though he pressured me to go off it. That guy was arrested a few years ago for assaulting a woman. I’m currently dating an awesome guy and I’m SO THANKFUL t…

This might seem obvious, but excessive compliments — AKA love bombing. Compliments are good. I’m not talking about “you look nice,” “I enjoyed our date,” “I enjoyed talking to you,” etc. I’m talking about a guy immediately saying that you’re PERFECT for him, he can’t believe he met you, you’re “so different” from other women he’s dated, etc. There’s no way, after one or two dates, that a guy would be SO CERTAIN you’re the woman of his dreams and would want to tell you so. I dated a guy who did t…

Thank you. Men on this sub see women as these cunning, calculating fembots who, in this case, peruse dating apps for the next man they're going to exploit for sex and money. Not as people with lives - thoughts, feelings, preferences, friends, family, careers, hobbies, goals, etc. Believe it or not, we're capable of prioritizing any or all of these things above romance and sex. It's almost as if ... they're ... projecting.

The “rating systems” are shit because they’re entirely subjective. Also I wouldn’t put it past RP assholes to rate women down in order to make themselves feel better. My ex called Megan Fox a 6. Riiiiight …

/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/21 04:40 PM

You went from being skeptical of whether this actually happens to being like “hey women lie about everything so therefore it’s justified!” Ok. If one or two women lied to you before, that doesn’t mean you get to do the same to other, completely unrelated women, dude. If you want to believe in your head that all women are the same bc it helps justify your shittiness, makes you the blameless victim etc. then fine- but it’s incredibly naive and won’t get you happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/21 02:55 AM

aren’t you so intuitive that you can tell when a man wants this? There is an entire industry based on teaching men how to fuck women no matter what it takes to get there & no matter what he intends to do after he fucks her. A lot of men are good liars. It’s disgusting.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/21 02:49 AM

Listen up, men. Take notes.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/21 02:46 AM

I mean it’s OK if you have trouble decoding tone/body language/social cues but you should at least make an attempt to understand IMO.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/21 12:10 AM

It depends on what words are used, tone, etc. Based on OP’s description it sounds like these men were being condescending.

I’m a woman, not sure if you’ve gathered that. & it sounds like you and I have had vastly different dating experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 01:00 AM

Idk man if I had to choose between dying alone but having fucked like 100 guys, or dying with a family … I’m picking the latter. One is expedient. One is meaningful.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:05 PM
1

It’s a principle that applies to many things. Eating junk food, sitting on the couch and being a fat ass is expedient, but I don’t pursue it. Exercising and being healthy is harder but meaningful. Hooking up is expedient. Marriage, and building a life together, is meaningful.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:03 PM
1

Pursue what is meaningful, not what is expedient.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:59 PM
2

lol ok. I want a man who values respect and commitment, and who will provide for his family. I don’t want a boy insecure about his manliness who wants to LARP James Bond. The pick-mes can have him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:55 PM
2

Are you just looking to fuck? Or are you looking for a long-term relationship? If you want a harem or something and don’t care about being a provider, a husband, a father etc. then sure, I guess it’s only “Chads” who get to LARP James Bond. If you want an actual relationship then your most important qualities are respect and commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:52 PM
2

I’m talking about a situation where you want a relationship. Not a fuck buddy. You can wait for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:48 PM
2

Why is waiting such an insane concept? And, a couple years ago I dated a guy who started cheating on me. It’s easier to discover than you think. He thought he was “smart.”
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:45 PM

If your dick is so in control of your life that you can’t go a couple months without fucking then I don’t want to be with you.

They want respect. It’s not hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:38 PM

It’s simple: it shows the guy respects the woman, and that he’s not just with her for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:37 PM

They could be “aware” thanks to the internet. Doesn’t mean they’ll buy into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:33 PM

I’m not looking for the kind of man who sees me as disposable and easily replaceable with some random woman, though. And most women aren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:29 PM
5

“Will it?” I’ve noticed men trying to “neg” me & other PUA techniques. It doesn’t make y’all look smooth or desirable. It makes you look like an insecure asshole just trying to get his dick wet. If this is what you have to resort to to get close to a woman, then what does that say about you?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 10:21 PM
1

If only 10 percent of guys are the ones who are being dated (which I don’t agree with), that’s a reflection on the guys, not the woman. A man has to be respectful (don’t play any of that red pill mind game shit - “negging” or w/e), treat their SO with kindness, help with the house/finances/child-rearing, and take care of personal hygiene. That’s a good start. You’d be amazed at how many men complain that these standards - showering every day or not expecting the woman to do all the housework or …

OP didn't make any kind of specifications re. what part of the population he was referring to. Evangelicals are influential enough that they and their influence on parts of society is worth mentioning.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 11:30 PM

You are more resilient than you think. And yes, these situations were upsetting, but they were also learning experiences. My best advice is this: Just try to be upfront with someone and let the other person know that you're hoping for something long-term. If they say something like "I don't like labels; I don't know what I want; let's just hang out and 'see what happens';" etc. etc. then you don't want to be with that person. Best of luck!

/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 12:58 AM

"Tons of options" -- If I want a guy who'll just have sex with me but won't commit in a meaningful way, sure. "A good man is hard to find" is a famous Flannery O'Conor quote for a reason. If I want a man who will prioritize commitment and respect, I have much fewer options.

True, but I wonder how many of those friendships are genuine. If they lost everything Schitts Creek Rose-family style, who would stick by them? I'm an anxious person so if I were that wealthy, I'd have that concern.

I think you may be talking about American (?) society as a whole. However, there are areas/cultures where this isn't the case. I grew up in a southern, religious, evangelical culture. Women are absolutely *not* encouraged to pursue hedonism. We're taught God "made us to be mothers, submit to men, meek, subservient," etc. etc. & in my experience, if a man in this culture slips up and parties, sleeps around, etc. it's not that his actions are completely dismissed, but he'll be given a lot more gra…

I’m less well versed on the nuances of what separates TRP/PUA, but I think you’re right at least about PUA. So many of the guys with YouTube channels, the people like Tom Cruise’s character in Magnolia realize that there is a demographic of lonely men who want to get laid and resent women ... So they decide to make money on that, capitalism babyyyyy 🤑🤑🤑 The bottom line isn’t to “help men” or reveal any “truths.” It’s to get rich. If women want commitment they usually have to settle because the pool of men willing to sleep with them is always larger than the pool of men willing to commit to them and this is true for women of ALL ages. THANK YOU. Whenever I see this “red pill” “bUt I’m SuCh A gOoD gUy” discourse, I never see men acknowledging that so many men will literally just tell a woman whatever she wants to hear, including feigning commitment, in order to get laid. This happened to me in my 20s.

Came on here to say this. I feel like King of Queens is the perfect example of this trope, along with many of the women who date George Costanza in Seinfeld, + pretty much any woman paired up with Adam Sandler.

You described one of my exes to a T. I can remember trying to bring up issues with him so we could hopefully have a constructive conversation about it, and him being so dismissive and saying “I feel like you’re just trying to start a fight right now.” Another time, he said “I’m not falling for this attempt to manipulate me.”

I discovered this sub yesterday and I'm SO glad I did. I'm 28 and newly single after several failed, very frustrating relationships. I've spent the past 10 years being a pick-me girl. Not every man I've dated has been completely bad, but I spent too much time with guys who definitely saw me as a glorified housekeeper who they also had sex with. Time to turn things around ✊
