College tells construction crew to take down "Men Working" sign deemed 'sexist', even though it was accurate as the crew included zero women | Though women don't want to do dirty, manual labor jobs themselves, they still want to control how men do themWhile on my way to work one day I saw a woman get out of her car and begin writing "WO" in front of "MEN" on one of these signs with permanent marker. Didn't see if there were any women working though. | /r/MensRights | 23/01/17 04:45 PM

Article makes men's rights activists to be "haters and trolls" who inspire misogynist-motivated real-life killings of women. On a positive note they publish Warren Farrells response! So what are your thoughts on the idea of the Men's Rights Movement? I see you posted the article but you must have some opinions of your own. | /r/MensRights | 29/01/15 01:24 AM
Woman slashes children's throats to keep them quiet. Whose fault is it? Hint: not hers.I too have suffered from depression but I think it's a bit closed minded to assume that every suffers in the same way. I know very little about postpartum depression, so I'm not assuming anything. The mixing of antidepressants and alcohol could have had a part in it as well. Do I think she is innocent? No, she most certainly is not. I do sympathize with her, however, because her situation was a difficult one and people are prone to making mistakes. I honestly don't care what she gets punished wi… | /r/MensRights | 28/01/15 08:38 PM
Woman slashes children's throats to keep them quiet. Whose fault is it? Hint: not hers.Yeah, I was pretty sympathetic about the whole postpartum depression and whatnot, since mental illness is very real and very hard for some people to deal with, but you really put it in perspective for me. Take a depressed man and give him antidepressants and some alcohol and no one would try to defend him. | /r/MensRights | 28/01/15 07:51 PM
Girl "accidentally" shoots boyfriend in head. Tries to stage it as a suicide. Later confesses to holding gun to his head and pulling the trigger, but "didn't know it was loaded" so she's only being charged with manslaughter. I have no words.I agree. This isn't some sort of light sentencing, it's just a sad story about someone who didn't know how to use a gun. She killed him accidentally and got manslaughter. I feel bad for both the victim and the shooter. | /r/MensRights | 28/01/15 03:07 PM
Male hostages who fled Sydney siege don't deserve bravery awards, "Maybe they could have done something more to protect the women" - Australian MP Fred NileNot my definition of bravery. If you want to argue that it's just semantics and even then the bottom line is that it's not a men's rights issue. It's a matter of interpretation of what is brave. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/15 11:59 PM
Male hostages who fled Sydney siege don't deserve bravery awards, "Maybe they could have done something more to protect the women" - Australian MP Fred NileTaking some sort of action would be indicative of bravery, running for your life or dying without putting up a fight is not. He's saying that if they had tried to save the hostages and "protect the women" that would be cause for a bravery award. I agree with him. It's not about men protecting women it's about the fact that they didn't do anything brave and shouldn't get an award for it then. | /r/MensRights | 14/01/15 02:04 PM
Canadian Medical Students Suspended, Face Life Ban over Facebook MisogynyThe chloroform joke is featured in a Family Guy episode. "Hate fucking" could mean consensual sex fueled by hatred and anger, something that might be distasteful but is not threatening necessarily hostile. The fact this was on a private group means that this was intended to remain private and not to threaten people. Punishing this is really up to the University, but if this were a legal case then it would absolutely ludicrous. I think the fact that such private areas can be used against someone … | /r/MensRights | 07/01/15 08:52 PM

Ontario man challenges ‘anti-male’ restaurant industry in rights tribunal and wins (sort of)In high school it was a bit ridiculous how different my earnings were than my female peers. My female friends were waitresses, nannies, and babysitters all making ~$12-$15 an hour while my friends and I ended up being dishwashers, cooks, factory workers, and some manual labor type jobs making minimum wage ($7.25/hr). We made less than half what our female counterparts made. We made up for it by taking multiple jobs, working overtime, etc, but it really pisses me off. | /r/MensRights | 02/01/15 05:21 PM
All Men Are Considered Potential Predators; Discrimination Against Men As All Being Pedophiles Reaches Epic LevelsWatch the catcalling videos that get made. An overwhelming majority of the men sexually harassing the women are minorities, specifically black men. It's totally cool to generalize men as catcallers and whatnot but it's racist if we go further and generalize black men as catcallers. | /r/MensRights | 25/12/14 07:39 PM
"You do not automatically trust men around young children. The risk of a mistake is too high."Alright. I just needed to know what we're labeling as a threat. I'll google it up now. | /r/MensRights | 23/12/14 10:31 PM
"You do not automatically trust men around young children. The risk of a mistake is too high."What kind of threat are we talking about? And do you have a source? EDIT: Upon doing some research I have found the following information: On Child Abuse: Of the 2012 child abuse cases, 45.3% of the perpetrators were male and 53.5% were female. Source I'll continue researching but I have places to go. | /r/MensRights | 23/12/14 05:08 PM

Man arrested for defending himself against a female assailant. Then he'll probably be found innocent or charges will be dropped. It's how the justice system works, people can choose to press charges whether you're guilty or not and it's up to the courts to determine what actually happened. | /r/MensRights | 11/11/14 02:51 PM
| -1 | Staten Island coach Megan Mahoney has been released without bail following arrest on rape chargesThere are states in which what she did would be legal, but she's not in one of those sates. I personally disagree with the claims that a 16 year old isn't able to consent to sex, and so I would say she is innocent, but that's not how the law works there so she is on trial. There is nothing inherently sexist about this. | /r/MensRights | 24/10/14 01:07 PM |
Staten Island coach Megan Mahoney has been released without bail following arrest on rape chargesIf the post included another article about a man who had a similar relationship with a girl and was treated differently then I would find it a significant article worthy of examination and discussion, but this article alone says nothing. | /r/MensRights | 23/10/14 09:22 PM
Staten Island coach Megan Mahoney has been released without bail following arrest on rape chargesAs for my first point, I have seen a handful of relationships between similarly aged couples and though it is odd to me I don't think it's unhealthy or damaging to either participant. Positions of authority are a bit different, but only if they are using that authority to persuade or force the sexual contact. Although I can't say she's innocent for sure, I believe in innocence until proven guilt. If it comes out that she used her authority in any way I would say that she is in the wrong and ough… | /r/MensRights | 23/10/14 09:19 PM
| -3 | Staten Island coach Megan Mahoney has been released without bail following arrest on rape chargesI honestly see very little wrong with this. She is less than 7.5 years older than him and in many states this is legal once the "child" turns 16. In this case it apparently is not, but I don't think that she was really taking advantage of the kid. Sure, she was his coach, but that's not something that the law needs to regulate, that's something that the school needs to regulate. I think this subreddit would be better used with articles depicting real issues to be dealt with, not just every crime… | /r/MensRights | 23/10/14 01:15 PM |

I hit my boyfriend this morning and it has changed my view on the men's rights movement. As someone with pretty severe depression, I'll say that when I ask to be alone it's so I don't hurt people close to me. | /r/MensRights | 01/10/14 09:35 PM
I just got messaged by a mod on 2xchromosomes saying it was banned to discuss rape culture hysteria and its harm on victims, assumed I was male. What a toxic place, how is this a default?I feel that sentiment. I got banned from /r/feminism for simply stating that I don't feel a privately owned business should be legal forced to do anything for its employees, or I assume that's what it was for. I was never told why or warned. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/14 12:51 PM
Man physically attacked by woman uses self-defence. Man portrayed as attacker(xpost-TIA)"Anything can be done with words, just as good as violence." WHICH IS WHY HE FUCKING WATCHED THIS HAPPEN, AND SAID NOTHING. He's not an innocent bystander, he's just as much to blame as the marshall. | /r/MensRights | 24/07/14 12:27 PM
