Racist isn't the right word for the Muslim immigration thing, but "bigoted" is. And it's bigoted because it makes an assumption that those Muslims are all terrorists or rapists. We already have such a long process of getting into this country that afghan translators who worked with the military were tortured and murdered by the Taliban before we brought them over. Because nothing makes a man more interested in trying to help out victims than if the advocates for those victims insist he wear flamboyant and stereotypically feminine shoes while he does it. I just don't see the benefit in having to wear those. Rape and sexual assault are things that should be addressed, but I don't see how the heels contribute in any way. I'd find it demeaning, personally.
