The stupid stuff you've done in the past are lessons that've shaped you into the person you are today. There's absolutely no reason to dwell on things you've done in the past because they don't reflect the person you are in the present. And because there's nothing you can do about what you did. Be proud that you fixed it all eventually and that you're getting what you want!

Okay, then it seems like maybe you aren't proud of who you are? That was initially the root reason that I wasn't confident around not only girls but also just everyone in general. Do you think you have your shit together? Career/education, appearance, ambitions, etc.

I'm not sure what's wrong then. If you understand that you're good looking, you should make the connection that most women would be interested in talking with you and that you don't have to worry.

Do you think you meet your own appearance standards?

I don't think your experience when you were a kid should have affected your sexuality much, it seemed like you guys were just really horny and were bro enough to help each other out. In the event that you masturbate frequently, cut it down to maybe twice a week, so that when you do go out, you'll naturally want to get a girl to hop on your dick.

You don't really need to work on yourself then. All that's left is the physical appearance, like you mentioned in the title.

Haha, nice job slapping the girl's ass to avoid talking about the ex, but if it was a girl you're less familiar and intimate with, what would you say? I'm seeing this girl who I know 100% is into me. And for some context, we're both Asian and she's rather conservative and so I'm not sure if she'll welcome such physical contact.

Know who you are, and love who you are. If you can't respect yourself, then you can't expect anyone else to.

It hurts but you just have to do nothing and wait. Asking her if she's made up her mind is something you probably shouldn't do.

Could you give an example maybe of turning a conversation away from a more solemn note? I listen but I don't want to just nod away and go "Yeah I get you" all the while. I want to quickly tell her that she's okay and steer the time we spend together towards a more cheerful mood.

No problem! Feel free to PM me for any future texting consulting.

Okay it's funny because that was my guess. Anyways I think you did fine because judging by her responses she likes you enough to give proper replies and texts. Minor advice I'd give is that to use her name as less as possible. It gives off the feeling that you've had your eye on her for a while. That's just my personal opinion though so take it with a grain of salt.

Lets ask for some more context, since different places probably have different texting cultures. Where do you live and what ethnicity are you and the girl?

I can't quite put my finger on any particular text that indicates this but you give off a "putting the other person on a pedestal" vibe. Can you tell me how you felt or what was going through your head during this exchange?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
