Risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission by aerosols, the rational use of masks, and protection of healthcare workers from COVID-19 | Antimicrobial Resistance & Infection Control | Full Text (biomedcentral.com) Scientific Brief: Community Use of Cloth Masks to Control the Spread of SARS-CoV-2 | CDC There's definitely science to back up the use of masks. So to say "no science no shutdown" is massively disingenuous. Especially since COVID travels via droplets as well as aerosols. I'm gonna be honest. I'm n…

Instead of making a decent argument I'm just going to attack her looks. She retweeted this. What a fucking moron Her twitter page is basically, "fuck the left. Virus is bullshit"

But that doesn't disprove any of my sources? You post this as if you've singlehandedly dismantled each of my sources. I'm not the one you should be embarrassed for. Still Confused About Masks? Here’s the Science Behind How Face Masks Prevent Coronavirus | UC San Francisco (ucsf.edu)

Awful source, especially considering the amount of data that disputes that. Even stuff from the CDC Scientific Brief: Community Use of Cloth Masks to Control the Spread of SARS-CoV-2 | CDC Oxford COVID-19 study: face masks and coverings work – act now | University of Oxford

No I agree. But like you said, it's the best treatment we have. It eases the dysphoria, eases the depression and anxiety. And it helps people align how the identify with how they portray themselves. Speaking from my own experience, the biggest issue is that I can't portray myself outwardly as how I feel within myself. That disparagement causes me a lot of anguish...the obvious and best solution is to align the two. One of the other issues is the stigma attached, people love to cite suicide rates…

But that's the thing. So many people don't understand, and granted it is insanely difficult to understand. But your first reaction was to argue about it, you didn't really have any argument to stand on apart from "Hurr helicopter". It's medically recognised, the treatment is transitioning, why argue about it?

Lmao, I did go to therapy... They strongly suggested I transition. I'm not sure I'm following here. Gender dysphoria is a real medically recognised issue. Treatments include transitioning. But obviously you know best right? Because apparently it really affects you personally that somebody else wants to be happy being referred to as a she instead of a he.

Why is that always the first argument? It makes no sense. Hurr durr helicopter. As someone who is suffering from gender dysphoria, its not quite so easy to explain. It's a horrible feeling that can ruin lives. Every day I wake up with no idea who I am. But alright, you do you, apparently it's too difficult for you to change the word you use to refer to someone.

Quick Google says that's not true. They're identified by the gender they identify as. Obviously...

Medical reasons aside what's the point of caring so much? Lil Francesco is now lil Francesca, so what? Just do a bit of studying, WHO have said that gender is more of a social thing and can be altered. You're thinking of sex, which is based on biological factors.

Erm I think people are missing the point of this one... It's a trans woman who was treated like a man, the issue isn't that she received equality, its that the police acted as if she were a man. Usually I love these, but I don't think this belongs here

She hid most of her assets though. The judge was right to throw the book at her, that's how it works for everyone. She's not the victim here, she played a dangerous game, got found out and people are now crying about it.

That wasn't my argument... My argument is that if you understand why the job exists then you should be able to understand why it's not evil.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/05/20 07:57 AM

But it does have to do with my comment. The context of why lawyers exist is exactly why you can't just be so black and white with morality. Also you said the argument was that lawyers help get reduced sentences and are therefore evil, only defense attorneys do that, hence the assumption that he's talking about defense attorneys. My point was that the lawyer knows why his job exists, he knows that the prosecution will be fighting for maximum sentencing, so he has to be fighting the opposite way. …

That's not even pertinent. You argued a different point
/r/PussyPassDenied06/05/20 12:52 AM

That's so wrong though. The defense attorney's job is to force the prosecution to prove that their client is guilty. If guilt is proven, then obviously the prosecution will push for the maximum sentence, so you need some sort of balancing to happen..i.e. the defense attorney to push for minimum. If you didn't have people pushing for reduced sentences then what's to stop everyone from just being slapped with maximum sentences for absolutely everything...you need to have that give and take between…
