What has Big Gay Al got to do with it?

Agreed. The list is woefully inadequate! Where is "She bends over, flops out her tits, and sucks your dick."?

I haven't seen the movie, and so I don't know Damon's whole character, but my impression was that it was the standard geek thing of calling into question the arbitrariness of social convention. So it was a way of emphasizing his different perspective on the world and giving him some degree of social awkwardness. I think that was necessary because otherwise the viewer would be left wondering why such an awesome (intelligent, articulate, confident and physically dominant/daring) guy was not up to …

Yeah. You'll need a buddy, or you can practice your social skills at the gym and hit people up for a belay. Once you get outdoors, you'll learn to share my appreciation of nice big jugs and cracks that you could stay in all day. :D

Be sure to respect the risks of climbing. Start at the gym, which is the safest possible setting, and from there, hook up with experienced climbers to get outdoors. Many of those will be more than happy to mentor you. Also check out local associations for that kind of support too. Back it up with book knowledge about technique and safety. It's what you don't know that will kill you in climbing.

As someone else commented in this subreddit, "to an introvert, being yourself means never talking to anyone, ever". So it's not enough to be yourself. You have to decide what self you want to become, and make sure it's a good choice. Also, don't call yourself a loser. It hurts my eyes to read that. Actually, I think it is that I feel the pain that motivated you to say that, and it's simply not necessary to suffer like that. You can't be anything except in the present moment of actually doing it.…

What about if she leans forward, looks you in the eye, reaches out her right arm, cups your testicles in her palm, then closes it into a fist and quickly pulls it toward her and up to chest level while turning it 90 degrees clockwise and tucking in her elbow to her navel?

Ever heard the saying "As above, so below." Well, that's not actually what it's about, but in Chinese medicine, they reckon that one set of lips is pretty much the same as another. Anyways... Angelina Jolie's vajayjay must have very plump lips.

So as a Buddhist, you've heard about this thing called Suffering. You should know that burning emotional energy on that which is beyond your control is suffering. So ruminating over the past is suffering, worrying about the future is suffering. Trying to anticipate the outcome of an interaction with a woman is suffering, and worrying that she will reject you the same way that someone else did in the past is suffering, because you're taking some past event and projecting it into the future. In fa…

You're welcome. You forgot to give me her number, by the way. How does one ask for a blow job? Pretty directly. I usually just say "Suck me." I suppose you could get all New Agey and say "I really like gettting my cock sucked." :D How do you ask her to take a shower with you? Same way you ask for anything. Directly, like it's no big deal. "Hey, I've just had a really good idea. Come with me." Then take her by the hand, lead her to the shower, slap her on the ass and guide her in.

She sounds like a nice girl. What's her number? You just need practice. Lots of practice. Learn more positions. Missionary is dull. Variations on doggie are more fun. I'm a lazy man, so I like to lie on my side and enter from behind. Get the girl to do some work too: cowgirl and reverse cowgirl (the visuals are fantastic). Keep the lights on. You want to see what/who you're doing. If she says no, you lay down the law. You need to see her hot little body. If you were going soft, why didn't you as…

Er... Reiki. I think the other commenter had a good suggestion about affirmations. I think it's also important to remember that until someone actually tells you what it is that you're doing, you're really just guessing, and potentially imagining the worst. So ask your family what they think of you. Ask your friends what they really think of you. Your friends, in particular, probably see that you are awkward and struggling with this, but don't want to say anything that would make you sad. From th…

Just tossing this out here... Experiment with it. Stop sex for a week and see how you feel. I have done this experiment myself and think it is interesting to do, but not crucial. I have heard that increasing sexual frequency increases testosterone levels. But I have also experienced feelings of increased energy and assertiveness when completely abstinent.

Thank you so much for mentioning The Tao of Steve! I've been working on my inner game lately and reflecting on how the principles seem to be inspired by Buddhism and Taoism. TToS is a beautiful illustration of that.

My understanding is that HSV1 is unlikely to recur in the genital region. In any case, from a practical perspective, since just about everybody has it and the only way to avoid getting it is not to kiss anybody, it's not something he should be worried about. And making a big deal of it to a potential partner is also just going to harm him while not protecting anybody from anything. A little story so people can get where I'm coming from on this: I once got really uptight about a cold sore that a …

As EthicalReasoning says, practically everybody has HSV1. Also, depending on where you live and your ethnicity, anywhere from 1 in 8 (12.5%) to 50% of people have HSV2 (although only 1 in 9 of them will know that they have it). The most likely way to contract HSV1 is to be kissed. If someone kisses you, as a baby, then there's a fair chance you will get it. HSV outbreaks can be invisible. Your body will also shed a small number of virus particles even when not in an outbreak. Put that together w…

HSV1 is nothing dude. Practically everyone has it. People usually get it as a "cold sore" on their mouth. But as with both types of herpes, the majority of people who have it do not know they have it. I have HSV1. As far as I can tell, a relative kissed me when I was a baby. IT'S NO BIG DEAL. HSV2 - genital herpes - 1 in 8 (or more) have it, but only 1 in 9 know they have it. Think about that!

In what way is DeAngelo predatory? He's helped many people. He didn't have to share his knowledge. DIG is a collaborative effort between DeAngelo and a shrink. It cuts right to the heart of the problems you evidence in the interpersonal sphere. I know that if you had been exposed to that material, you would not be suffering in the way that you are now, because you would know that suffering is burning emotional energy on things that are outside your control.

I don't actually understand why you would bother to explain it. By educating these women about PU are you helping the efforts of men, or just raising the bar even higher? Will these women go out of their way to help a budding PUA or a suffering AFC if they can recognise him as such? And why would we care if they deride us?

The flowers set him apart and I think reframed the interaction as him, her and two other guys. One of the others (Nick?) said "everybody knows that you have to give roses" (AFC) and I think that was part of why the flowers worked - that they weren't sappy and overly sentimental, they were more playful. As for the choice of champagne. Not even sure if she touched it. But I wonder if part of the thinking was that he could just pour it and then not drink it. Nick's game started to go south as he go…

So - and I'm not disagreeing with the conclusion that she was there to get laid - she got so drunk that she was indiscriminate, as in, she would sleep with basically anybody, and you want to have a grown-up person's interaction with her? Why? Where is her value? She sounds like a skank. Kick it to the curb. \z-click**

Probably indentation. Check to see if there are spaces in front of 2. and 3. that aren't present for 1. Also, to do quotation blocks, precede the line with a greater-than sign, >, i.e.: > "Girls live it. etc..." (minus the backslash) becomes: "Girls live it. etc..."

I attended an all-male school for all five of my secondary school years. It conditioned me to be brutal in my derision of others, lest I be seen as weak or effeminate. It took me years to unlearn this way of relating to others. I have heard it said elsewhere, that the presence of women has a moderating effect on male behaviour. Males behave more decently towards each other when females are around. Being naturally shy, I had essentially no contact with women, which only served to exacerbate my is…
