You cannot expect other people to be as invested in your survival as you are. He and his friends started a company and then they hired some people to help them. Employees are paid to work for you. Maybe I just don't understand the pay of unknown actors compared to major film stars, but I would assume that Anna Farris was paid more at that time than an actor no one had ever heard of on a sitcom? Status would be fame plus pay and a lot of other factors. I have no idea how you're trying to argue that an unknown (at that time) actor in a supporting role on a sitcom was anywhere near the level of a world famous actress in any measure of status. Everyone knew who she was. Your bolded stat is for the premiere episode and says that viewership declined every week, after that. Movie star who was in a film series everyone was familar with vs. side character in a TV show with (apparently) subpar viewership. All the status was on her side of the table.
