Well I wasn't expecting the progressive move.

My thoughts: educate myself. Mold myself into the best person I can be, and be a great example. This to me answers this question for how one should raise "children" without specificity on their sex. This means; having them when I'm ready. Having all the time available for them, that they might need. Having control of myself so they don't suffer from my mistakes; can trust, and rely on me, as they should be able to. Being one of two parents capable of all this, and more. This is how it should be …

This is only appalling if you expect equality. I don't. I know it's wrong. But I don't expect things will ever be right. Not in my lifetime anyway. This system is too guarded. And our society too dumb. Nobody gives a fuck. And if you do, you're either not doing it right... or you're dealt with.

This is a great post. But let's discuss the truth of both sides shall we? Objectifying people isn't okay..

I appreciate the offer. But I'm fairly resourceful myself; as well as paranoid. lol. Again, thank you. Your willingness to help is greatly appreciated.

Lol, I clicked your last link just in case I'm feeling pressed to leave again. And the state I'm in has a "directory coming soon!" message. Great.... I just found this humorous. In an event like I was having today; one sort-of hopes to find assistance sooner than later. Not to imply any fault on your part. I find it more to be a fault of our society, perhaps. There really aren't many good resources available for men in need.

Thanks me too. I looked over that stuff and didn't exactly find what I'm looking for. I'm kind of in the middle of a crisis and it isn't going well. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I may even be in medical danger shortly... but it doesn't appear I'll be receiving the resolution I'm looking for, so I may be forced to leave. Face the unknown, and potentially be destroyed by it. It's a shame I can't have a rational conversation where I was born and raised.

This is an old story, no? But ya... this is a great example of a sexist society.

While this does sort of reflect on women, I think it also sort of reflects on moochers.

I found it enough that I recognized her actions weren't hospitable. I'll call her out on it if I have to :] I don't want to suggest this sort of ultimatum, as I find it might be divisive and I don't want to ostracize anyone in my family, including myself.

Yesterday I had something similar to this happen, not in event, but personality. I've got a stepmother with awful interpersonal skills... was hanging out with her and the fam last night in celebration of the holiday. Had a great time, but most of it she was flipping out. It used to really bother me, but I've come to realize this isn't something that has anything to do with me personally. I strive to treat everyone I can with as much respect as they deserve (judging by how they're treating me, an…

I felt like he was accepting all the fault, when I doubt that's entirely truthful. Sure he did questionable things... but we don't know the full story. Is it due to a 'disposable' mentality that he would shoulder all responsibility, as if it were a courageous act? Does it guilt people in other relationships having similar problems into accepting 'it's all their fault' when in fact there's more to consider? I don't know... but I think there's something to be ascertained about the male mentality i…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
