I think that hits the nail on the head. I have a Canadian friend who I was talking to about politics, and at one point we realized that most of my political views were based on individualism whereas hers were based on societal wellbeing. For example, we both agreed to the legalization of some drugs, but for her this was to decrease crime, whereas my thought would be that one should have the right to do what they want to their own body. She also viewed jail as keeping criminals away from everyone…

That's a pretty good point. Maybe the difference in perspective comes from whether or not one views things such as buildings/companies as private or public land. It is, of course, privately owned, but located for public use.

United States citizen here. Personally, I think having different ticket prices for different genders is morally wrong, but my view of it is, indeed, one of a private ownership issue. You own your house, and as such you can decide who you want to let in your home. If you want to use a misandrous/misogynous standard as to who you allow to visit you in your own house, so be it.
