Got off my lazy ass at work, I get an hour lunch every day, finally started using that for the weight room we here, it's only been a week into it but I feel a lot better already getting back into it.

Don't deny, I mean she knows you did it and that would only make it worse. Like the other comment, reach out but keep it short, and don't say sorry for cheating, it wasn't an accident and you knew what you were doing, trust me i've been there too. Then get off the lease and move on, that relationship is done, can't have one without sex, affection or trust.

If you've got some time to read, a couple books I would recommend are Conversation Casanova and The Art of Witty Banter. These two have helped me keep conversations for much longer than I could previously.

Lift, get bigger. Maybe actually get to know her friends since you said "if they actually knew me". Instead of name calling maybe they'd show some respect. Just be confident around "your girl" instead of darting eyes around the place your in wondering who wants to talk to her.

Thank you for the tips, even those these are basic trp principles, they were definitely hard to comprehend when I first found this place.

If you don't make posts on TRP, you should, this is some great advice. I see a lot on here about beginning LTRs with a TRP mindset, but not a lot of experiences saying how people changed to that mindset when they began a relationship. Thank you again

Thank you for such a thought out response, all are very good tips, and I will start tonight when we go out, should be a kind of shock to the system. I'm glad I have a place to start thanks to this thread.

Seems like you're doing pretty well, I was the same way, out of a 7 year LTR before I met my current girl. Took a lot longer to get me commit, I was spinning plates before that, and then bam, instant onenitis and beta again. That was the whole point of this thread, to get ideas on how to reverse that. I know exactly how you feel with the stress that comes with asking questions like, do you love me? When the answer should be yeah I love myself, you're here for the ride.

Did you start TRP? or Blue? How did you change if so? How did it affect the relationship going forward? My situation is that we have a good relationship, I have a good career, I just bought a condo(In my name, and only my money), Getting a new car. So I have a lot to provide, my main worry after being so involved with reading TRP for the past two months is that I am just seen as a provider. I don't want to be just a provider, and i'd love your input and strategies to use. Thank you in advance

Thanks for the input, man. I'm kind of in your boat, but i'm not worried if she'll leave with how I act now, I have a lot of security to offer her. I'm starting to wonder if she would leave if I started pulling dread and focusing more on myself. I think the biggest thing to show that they have some competition is if you put them in competition with yourself for your time and resources. Sounds like all you have to do is pull some dread and she'll see that you have a higher SMV.

I've been there before, just got lazy. I will accept your advice

I appreciate the input, I have started reading no more mr nice guy actually, I just need to finish it, that was part of the reason I started really seeing how my behavior was very beta. I guess growing up with conditioning that tells me I should always try to make someone else happy really had a negative effect on making myself happy. I already see a difference by shifting my focus to myself. I think i'm well on my way to accepting being willing to walk away if she's not on board with the change…

For sure I will keep doing those things for myself, i've already noticed being happier for it, and I think she's caught on to me not being so available. It is worth it to me because we do work very well and I am LTR oriented, but that's just me. thank you for the advice, I am starting to embrace the principle of always be willing to walk away.

i am trying to achieve what we had in the beginning, and while I know it will never be the same, at least back to the point when we were both trying our best for each other. The reason that was ruined was because of what I said, I kept doing anything and everything to make her happy, while she tapered off to almost nothing. The steps I have taken so far, is withdrawing attention, started focusing more on myself again(Lifting, getting back into old hobbies, not rushing to her side at any given ti…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
