I am a perfectionist in a way with some things. So I understand the self pressure and all the other feelings that you get trying to get it right. If you ever need reassurance in your career, look at the marketability of your skillset. In your case, your goal is to obtain that marketability. Just know, a computer science degree is very marketable fresh out of college as long as you demonstrate you are willing to learn anything. Computer science Is the hardest degree in the world if they made it s…

I honestly had no idea this was even a career. I studied computer science after I fell in love building my first computer. I was halfway through university and I changed my major from business. So I was already in it but had no vision still. It wasnt until I got my first job. I still work for them now and its been 3 years. We are a small company and we have good relationships with the larger tech companies that need engineers to deliver professional services or ps. They kinda took the reigns as …

Totally agree. And yes you are right about OSCP. That isnt easy as a fresh analyst though. Certainly a goal. I was just highlighting the difference in the security world. Most people see hackers as badass but there are two sides and more money blue team side

Tell the difference between red and blue team though (purple is mix of both). Red is offensive and blue is defensive. You won't make that much money in red side unless you are the legit hacker doing illegal shit. Blue team is all the defense and companies pay YUGE bucks to defend their shit.

STEM route. Get into a professional services career. Its basically software deployment on site to multitudes of customers. You travel a shit ton (pre covid of course) and there was always new people to meet wherever you went. For me, every 2 weeks I was somewhere new. When I was single and had more patience with travel, this was the best thing to gain experience and see the world. Get to a point where you have a 4 year degree and you find a software that solves a solution that you are interested…

My exs grandfather was a great man (Vietnam vet). He passed recently unfortunately. But the man had no idea about anything my ex did. It was super fake what she let people see about herself and she was babied growing up. Spent a lot of effort on keeping an image for her grandfather to see her as. He never found out the shit she dragged me through, I probably ended up being the bad guy.

That Awkward moment you realize you have only dated women who have no father figure (ie. deceased or divorced) or with a shaky relationship at best. The grass always ended up being greener for all of them. Thanks for the alternate mental angle you provided here OP.

Advice on plating women over 30. I am 25 and I just had a ONS with a 31yo HB9. Her personality is very good and I can see her moving up rank. She is moving to my city soonish so that's why I am considering the thought. Applied solid TRP knowledge from lurking and it finally paid off big with her.

bingo. It also reminded me of the tv show last man standing where Tim Allen say to his son in law (beta af) "you need to talk to someone, and the voices in your head don't count".

They don't follow the same god. They trace roots back to people shared in their texts. You can draw the usual similarities like, love your neighbor and don't murder, but when you analyze the Torah, new testament and kuran there are some big differences. But yes not the point of your post I did enjoy it. Thanks OP, keep them hoes in line.

Can't agree more with the older women taking the younger man under her wing or acting like mama bear. Helped me a lot just in general success as an employee. Mind you, I never kissed ass or anything, I just did my job well and when shit came knocking from a different dept the ladies had my back.

I had this urge to do this to my ex for the usual. Over time the opportunity never came when I said to myself that it would happen. Now here I am, doing way better than her and laughing at her husband for marrying a cheater. I don't have that urge anymore, life just works itself out when you stop caring about shit. Happily single, building career/wealth, and I'm on a path to success. I wouldn't trade that feeling for caring about some last jab.

This was very well said. I think the biggest proponent outside of family is academia. Come buy a chance to spend 4 years getting a useless degree so you can have a degree like men. What I got most out of this post was summed up by the Einstein quote. That should be one of our goals as guys not to hold women to the same standards that are set for ourselves, but in turn, how can we address women trying to do that to themselves?

I like your last paragraph especially. I see a bunch of my friends from college try to be providers in the sense of following how men work, get jobs, and grind. They are hard workers and dedicated to their career but they all admit to their biological clock ticking down. This is where they know acting like a woman/mother needs to happen soon or else. But for now, it's the CC. Is whoring around more fun or satisfying or do you think it is just them trying to act like men?

Dude that's a steep thing to overcome. There is a lot of stuff that you are forgetting. There is nobody to talk to. Humans thrive of interaction. We are also optimistic but that is shattered when a judge's hammer comes down saying life in solitary no parole. Maybe we are on opposite side of the spectrum in this argument. But I totally see what you are getting at. I just can't imagine how you maintain sanity.

It really does. I got it from playing college baseball because it really demanded this attitude. Other sports could relate too I guess. But baseball is a game of failure. If you fail 70% of the time you are a stud. Every play required you to be mentally reset and ready for the next pitch. Any slight hesitation, doubt or other mindfuck will automatically fail you. This shit taught me how to keep a poker face and not get rattled. I so far convinced my coach that I don't give a rats ass about playi…

I did a 20 or so page research paper on solitary confinement in college. The psychological effects that take place make solitary inhumane. While coming up with topic ideas I decided I was for it as opposed to the death penalty (topics were under the umbrella of crime and punishment etc). During research, I found how cruel it is for someone to be locked up alone, stripped of freedom, having only artificial light on timers that could give you and estimate of time. I switched my thought process to …

The worst part is that Germany is essentially forced into penance with the EU. Look at all the 'refugees' that were thrust into their country to take care of. That's like alimony post divorce rape if you compare it to losing the war.
