There was another article that 87% of jobs most at risk to AI are jobs held by women. Should be interesting

This isn’t about rights at all. Or equality. This is concern about outcomes.

Misinformation is terrible anywhere. I wasn’t trying to present GPT as a source but it does shortcut reading 10 different places and summarizes. Regardless - here is the problem, let’s say she did decide to release thousands of criminals - what would we see? 100s of articles saying she is soft on crime, have you seen the crime waves in California, California cities are full of drug users because Kamala released all these drug offenders… etc. You can just imagine the headlines. Because it doesn’t…

What is usually true is there is a nugget of fact then exaggerated to coo coo town. With the help of chat GPT, this was more related to the Governor, who was the AG when this came down. Ultimate Harris was AG during the ruling are after he was elected to Gov. No mention of “for prison profits” https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/04/californias-prison-crisis-is-now-a-constitutional-crisis/274852/

Center left I guess would be accurate for me. I am an atheist, so the far right bible banging / extreme beliefs that shape law that puts more government in my life I can’t stand. It’s odd how the parties basically flipped on the government interfering with your life. I think the tax system should be more progressive, but also to remove any loopholes. This is coming from someone who would be negatively impacted by this. A problem that is hurting our middle class is pay disparity between C-suite a…

I think his appeal to some men is he signals it’s fine to be the worst version of yourself. Be gross, be selfish, be fat, be loud, be a dick, cheat, take what you want, and if wasn’t for all this equality, you would be so much better off. I’ll fix that. I think the pendulum has swung pretty far now to be inclusive, pretty far to the woke side of things, but I also feel that it is starting to swing back to the middle ground, to common sense. I also think blaming the left, or the right, for the pr…

Get out of the social media bubble. In the real world, good, strong men are what people actually want, and you would be interested in those that don’t anyway.

My life is mostly woman free, but it is easier for me as I am Bi. I actually tend to feel bad for my friends, most of whom are straight men and all of the bullshit they put up with on a daily basis. The hoops, the emotions, the constant tasks/errands just for sex maybe once a week. The depressing part is they so much want a more simple life, just to be happy, and have a loving intimate relationship with their wives. They are just worn out. So much gets fucked up by their wives addiction to socia…

I certainly see Harris as being pro-women, I don’t think that means they are anti men. Again, I don’t see any policy that they are pushing that is anti men. Pro women policies that don’t hurt me also aren’t a problem. At this point, I am just tired of it all and Trumps policies last go around actually hurt me. My taxes went up as I live in a blue state and the tariffs raised prices on things for my business I can only buy from china. I am looking for actual substance this time.

That is why I said party. Regardless they do set the tone and push agendas. It still isn’t clear to me what he is trying to drive this election that benefits men.

Meh, he is too often pro the worst type of men. Policies are what matter, durable ones not just executive orders, regardless of what either party or personality is marketing, or how they are trying to divide us.

It doesn’t seem like a law was passed to change things, more administration by administration guidelines. Interesting the graph also shows a decline before the August 2020 guidance update. I certainly think these things should be fair, but an average of less than 100 cases a year seems like a small number as the hallmark thing he temporarily did.

All the bullshit bravado aside - I don’t actually see what pro-men policies Trump is offering. It seems like projection alone. I suppose that is better than nothing.

It’s interesting that the highest rate of divorce is between lesbians, second is straight couples, and last by a wide margin is gay men. While the system favors women, at the core is men just are more content, not constantly stressing over everything not wrong in relationships, and creating less drama.

Seems to be a thing delusional women like to say when men don’t want to deal with their bullshit enough for them to bestow upon them their pussy. Like, how could you not want this!? Incel apparently. Luckily I’m Bi and don’t need to deal with this shit.

The divorce rate / DV stats male/male couples are just shockingly low. Seems like all the data you need lol.

It very much depends for me. I am Bi, finding sex with other men is frankly just easier so it happens more often than with women, but you kinda get desensitized to it. I have had plenty of non-emotional sex. But, the difference is the whole connection was just based on sex. It is fairly easy for two guys to just chat for a bit, one of you goes to the other, fuck and leave. Like I said, you just get kind of used to it, it’s not like it’s preferred, but it is still more fun with someone else, and …

You may want to move, or if you haven’t, find a group of strong men to hang with. It is super beneficial to have strong male friends, they build you up not tear you down.

Just be you. Society is evolving. One of the key evolutions is that it has progressed enough that women can survive without men. This is new. This is less of a feminism thing and more of a technology, infrastructure, and ease of life thing. I think we are at the first phase of this where “not needing men” or “men are bad” is like the pendulum swinging too far in the other direction. There is a huge wave of anxiety, fear and still a lack of security brewing with women. Technology, infrastructure …

So, not having a 50/50 split means patriarchy 🙄 Maybe, just maybe, there are other factors than the “patriarchy”. In the US, we are a democracy. In the US there are more registered women voters and more women vote. Seems like women have more influence on who are in these “government rooms” you speak of. Men tend to work longer hours, tend to take more risks, men tend to take more dangerous jobs. But you are also falling for the apex fallacy focusing on the very few that made it and ignoring the …

I didn’t believe you at first that lesbian couples have more instances of domestic violence than straight couples, but there it is on Wikipedia. Basic statistics. Also interesting the group with the least instances are male / male couples by a rather large margin. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_violence_in_same-sex_relationships Divorce rates also mirror this, lesbian couples divorce at the highest rate, then heterosexual, then gay the least. To be a good man is to maintain restraint. …

The happier bit doesn’t surprise me. My mother, now 70 and due to illness is approaching end of life. We were chatting one night about if she has any regrets and she said that she felt she would have been happier had she been a stay at home mom, or at least something more traditional. I was shocked actually, she was the first woman of the family to have a successful career. First one to make over 100k (back in the 80s), she rose to being head of finance in her company after 15 years, etc. Howeve…

You don’t have to agree with every single thought or belief someone has to like them. We have become so polarized we discount people because of part of their character we dislike. I was raised Catholic. I would now consider myself an atheist. I disagree / am uninterested in his thoughts on religion. I find Jordan’s thoughts on personal responsibility and masculinity very interesting and well thought out. It has helped me. That is ok. That is being an adult.

My second Boss. Ended up being like a father figure, in part because my own father was not really around much. I was somewhat listless in my early 20s. He was, at the time, in his early 30s in a startup. I had raw talent, work ethic, but was still young and lacked drive. He was a grounding force of logic, stoicism, and encouragement. Also learned real business mechanics, negotiation, and how to manage money. In some ways letting him down was the worst feeling. As a result I excelled professional…

I’m Bi, here is what I would say. I find that women spend an enormous amount of time focusing on sprucing up their outside. Make up, clothes, hair, etc. Hours spent on it, lord knows how much money. I don’t find that “done up” look all that attractive. And frankly, they don’t do it for men anyway, they do it for themselves and to show up other women. What I think men find more attractive, at least me, is a more natural look. No fake nails, no fake eyelashes, no fake boobs, no fake hair. A petite…

I haven’t found that at all, usually the femme boys are like an amplified version of worst feminine stereo types. That said, sex is generally frequent because they have a man’s sex drive, maybe that makes it feel more palatable.

Generally speaking, men are much more into sports than women. Part of why men like watching sports is they played them as kids / teens. There is a deep appreciation for physical triumph and athletic ability that is formed through team sports, specifically rough ones. If you are going to watch someone play something, you want to watch some amazing shit. That amazing shit usually takes strength, and men are physically stronger and that makes their games more exciting to watch. This leaves women’s …

I know several trans men. Their perspectives generally are fascinating. They are both happier and depressed often at the same time at least the ones I know. To me it depends if they act like men / present like men to support them like men. Mainly because if the do, then they are in the same shit we are, viewed the same way / treated the same way we are. I hope that makes sense. Like, it’s not just being hairy, dressing g like a guy and cutting things off - it is acting like a man. The trans men …

It’s a feature not a bug. Hearing what other guys do, either at work or on a weekend, what they built or how they did it is very interesting. Sometimes we are into the same thing and you can learn from what they did, their mistakes, or craftsmanship. It may feel like a back and forth but it’s less about the niceties and more about the work. And it’s fun to complete, it drives you to do better. Doesn’t feel exhausting if you enjoy whatever it is you are doing.

I think this is actually a challenging problem. Whenever attraction is involved honest criticism and honest praise is not clear. Generally speaking, men complimenting something I did means more than just about anyone else. I would imagine the same is true in reverse for women. I see this much more with men as generally we seek more hobbies / active pursuits. But, I am Bi, and I have seen men over complement me on work that I know is subpar, looking to start something. That is why I say attractio…

The crazy part is, that isn’t an expectation men have of women. It’s women that rip other women for their appearance, clothing choices, etc.

I saw her on TikTok. The way she contorts her voice is a dealbreaker alone. So affected. So trying to put on a persona. She could have said anything and you can already realize she is a nightmare.

So much this. 1000%. I think the reasoning is dead simple, it’s easier to be feminine than masculine. And now society as made it more than just OK, but “brave”. It is harder to manage your emotions. It is harder to physically strong. It is harder worth more than just your looks. It is harder to solve problems than whine about them. Meanwhile, at the same time the feminine gays seem to largely desire masc guys while at the same time judge them for being so masc. I think it is jealousy.
