1	True hero she borrowed it from an existing method. No she didn't, as designing the data gathering tehcnique wasn't what she was involved in or is being credit for. Yes radio imaging is nothing new but not using a global array of telescopes like this. The groundbreaking work her team did was to figure out how to compile the data gathered over a long time by lots of individual moving telescopes into a single image.
