also yes most rapes are caused by miscommunication. most rapes are people the victim knows, the rapist misreads the victims intentions and proceeds to touch them or worse without their permission. Its not always as violent as portrayed in movies. If thats what you mean

I think rapists rape for a lot of different reasons. Some know they are doing wrong, some are just drunk and horny and don't stop themselves. I don't see how educating people about consent can cause any trouble. And maybe it will stop a guy from raping. You think teaching peple that rape is bad won't stop even one rape? And you didn't answer my question. Are you suggesting that we should stop teaching men not to rape? What would you suggest otherwise?

You DID have me with the singling men out part. You just didn't follow up on it. That was a good point. We shouldn't discriminate and say only men need to learn not to rape. We should teach everyone. Now were on a different topic, but to me, anyone is capable of being a rapist (default rapist). Decent people can do indecent things. You or I could go out and touch someone without their consent. In the same way, no one is a born rapist bound to rape who can't be stopped. Same thing goes for female…

Ha, alright not slamming but disagreeing. You almost had me with the "singling out men" part. But your reply is illogical. Not all rapists are terrible people. In many cases, rape is just a dude who can't stop when a girl already turned him on. These are decent men, usually drunk, who aren't making good decisions and end up touching a girl against her permission.
