I wasn't acknowledging it, like we're not acknowledging other, completely unrelated points about all kinds of things. My point was only tangentially related, and if only to suggest that the other person's point, the one you keep addressing, wasn't the "real" issue. I don't know why you would comment to me about their issue. I already said from the jump nothing I suggest has anything to do with coercing individual women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 03:46 AM

So you ignored the rest of the sentence where I was talking about the social issue, not the personal one?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 02:10 AM

Ah, I see you didn't actually read and/or comprehend what I wrote, and are instead attacking a point someone else might be making
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 02:09 AM

You must be responding to the wrong person, I never said any of that. I don’t generally use the language of “leagues” at all.

I only speak for myself of course, but I've never suggested anyone should be coerced to do anything, nor have I said that women and men shouldn't be free to have any standards they wish. What I'm saying is, if a large proportion of society is having an issue with forming relationships, that's a societal issue that should be addressed. If for example the stat that says 40% of people under the age of 35 are struggling to find relationships, have sex, have kids, form families, etc then there is a m…

I would posit it IS in fact unreasonable when it’s not an individual issue but one for society. Relationships are personal, but when you have 30/40/50+% of the population not forming relationships, that’s a societal issue, and if not addressed will eventually cause important societal breakdowns

What man has age gap rage? It's woman who are outspokenly against this, not men.....

As a man with a lot of stereotypically "feminine" personality traits, women/society will readily punish men who exhibit such traits, even though they claim they want men to be more "evolved, emotionally mature, in touch with themselves, go to therapy" etc.

What man are you talking about? I swear it’s always schrodingers man; if he’s so easily able to replace you, he’s obviously out of your league and it’s on you to understand that. Don’t chase men who are so popular they can pump and dump women at will. That’s your mistake. That type of man is rare though; most men are so happy to have a chance that they aren’t jumping to leave and find someone else unless you are so bad a partner that they are forced to leave

I'm sure you, and most women, have had to deal with a certain amount of creepiness. Having to deal with weirdos and creeps isn't exclusive to women, and it's also a small price to pay for the perks of being a woman. All of us can focus on just the cons all day, but that's a mindset choice. It's incredibly ingenious, but also sadly incredibly common that women act like just because there are bad picks out there, that all they have to choose from is bad picks. That's just objectively wrong, for a …

When women complain about having to navigate through "all these trash men" who just want sex, I can't help but think I would much rather have all the options come present themselves to me, and just pick well, then have to go pursue the options I think might be good (And believe me, there's still wading through so much trash) and hope I can both pick well and convince them to give me a chance. Its honestly like, you're complaining that 75% of the work is done for you, because it's not also 100% d…

Do you even hear yourself? Yes, you're right, in that all but the tiniest top percentage of us will never truly understand the privilege of having so many people throw themselves at you, and being able to sit back and simply pick and choose. This is truly a champagne problem, and you talking about being fed up with it is so incredibly telling, it's exactly what we are saying, you're proving our point. To be upset, at all the power and opportunity and choice you get, simply for being who you are,…

There's plenty of it in response here already, and I'm happy to see so many acknowledging it, but once more for the women out there.... it's bold of you to assume this type of man ever feels "true" desirability. Most men, from the time they are 12 years old (or whenever they hit puberty and start being attracted to women) to the day they die do not have the privilege of this kind of desirability you're talking about. They are so used to desiring women who won't pay them any attention unless they…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 11:01 PM

Funny how women love to say never compromise, never lower your standards, until it's a men's issue, then it's "you need to accept whatever you get".

To be absolutely fair, many professionals are starting to believe therapy works for certain kinds of people, largely moreso for women, as men are wired a bit differently and different kinds of therapies are more suitable and effective for them. You could both be right; there's a few variables. I say this as a man who has been to therapy many times, for various reasons. Relationship counseling, very helpful. Interpersonal issues, self esteem, confidence, trauma, not so much, and believe me I was …

I don't disagree, but I'm also not talking about pillow talk. When you barely know someone, when you're either hooking up with a stranger or just starting the early stages of dating, it's prudent to have a conversation about sex before you're actually having it. Knowing the broad strokes is good, and then you can refine things from there, often through the subtle experimentation. It's fucking wild that (presumably) some woman down voted me for advocating communication, let alone about/before sex…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 12:38 AM

“Notices” is quite a weird way to describe this. The partners who have the best times, are the partners who clearly express themselves and aren’t afraid to direct their partners (who should be conscientious and humble enough to take honest feedback)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 08:05 PM

Because it’s personally offensive. I’m single. I’m not an asshole. You don’t know me, or anything about me, but you’re happy to make sweeping generalizations about what kind of person I might be based on a single point. That’s never okay, never. If you think it is, that tells us a whole lot about what kind of person you are
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 05:26 PM

What you've said has nothing to do with my point. I want people to stop making the claim that alone = morally poor.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:50 PM

No, its not comparing starving with lack of sex... its loneliness, which will actually kill you over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:43 PM

THIS is part of the issue. You are saying "men who can't get dates must be assholes" and you have the math wrong. There are PLENTY of assholes with partners, in fact most actual assholes seem to be having no issue getting women. Most of the guys who can't get a relationship are in fact timid, kind, and respectful. Nothing dries a woman up quite like being polite, respectful, and reserved.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:41 PM

This has nothing to do with "liberals"... take that shit to a political subreddit

One of the issues I think affecting men these days is our biological roles have been outsourced, whereas it’s not the same with women. You claim women don’t need men. On a personal level, you’re right. Because society has covered those roles. Men historically served the roles of protector, builder, provider, laborer, and of course their share in procreation. Now, a woman doesn’t need a man for any of that. You have police and fire services, construction contracting and laborers are all available…

Women’s standards are part of it too, though. If you think ordinary men aren’t relationship material, what else needs to be said? Men will happily date your average woman, but the reverse is not true. Again you can try to frame it as “woman shouldn't be forced to lower your standards”, but the real question is why are women so picky? What societal factors are at play to inflate said standards to unreasonable levels? Social media, constant comparing of everyone’s lives with the most famous and ri…

What happens when a woman lies and says she's on birth control and isn't? What happens when birth control fails? What happens if a man is raped? Why under all of those conditions do I not have autonomy but you do?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 06:04 AM
1

This is a nonsense take. Nobody makes a woman a parent, AND nobody makes you responsible. (Given) access to birth control and abortion, and given a man is informed well before time is up for one, there is no reason men should be on the hook without their consent. Obviously most women don't agree, they only seem to care about autonomy as it concerns THEM and THEIR bodies, but in the modern era it's so easy to eliminate unwanted parents and unwanted responsibility.

I swear, I just think most women are so self centered they can’t frame the conversation in their head around anything but themselves. They always jump to “So women should be forced to date people they don’t want”…. No, that’s not what I’m advocating at all. And even that wouldn’t be a societal answer; that’s PERSONAL. I don’t have all the answers, but here’s a thought. Maybe it would be good, to start, to stop pretending there isn’t an issue, to stop gaslighting men about it, and start at least …

Who is talking about consent? This isn’t a personal issue, because it’s not one man complaining, and certainly not about one girl not loving him. That would be a completely different thing. Some people can’t get and don’t deserve a relationship, or sex, or whatever. That’s of course true. But when that issue applies to 30-40% or more of a group, that’s systemic. That’s societal

This idea that the majority of men with dating issues are putting it anything like that is a gross misrepresentation of what’s really going on. Most men are not saying “I’m this way, and no one loves me so there’s a problem I deserve love”. Ironically this is exactly what WOMEN say. WOMEN say “this is who I am and I deserve to be loved for who I am I won’t change for anyone”. MEANWHILE, in the manosphere, guys are saying “I’m a 20/30/40 year old that has never felt loved or been in a relationshi…

Except that society hinges on the idea that we aren't ruled by nature. That small group of men that historically reproduced was also comprised of the strongest, most brutal men that murdered the other men and took women by force. That's not the world any of us wants to live in, right? Nature holds a balance. It never tips too far for long. If men cannot attain relationships, society will eventually fall apart and all the things society provides to women will fall apart with it and lead us back t…

I'm not going to contest that; I'm a straight man, so I don't deal with men in that way, but I have heard this from women. I guess you'd have to take me at my word, but I at least always love to please and go down on my partners, and I think it's becoming more and more common to feel that way
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 03:36 AM

Eh… the orgasm gap isn’t as black and white as “men don’t care/do enough”. That’s certainly part of it, but it’s also largely biology. Women don’t care about men’s orgasms either… they just don’t really need to, because men are biologically fortunate in that almost all sex with almost all partners is still good enough for them to get off, even with women who literally expend no effort at all sexually. Most women take that side of things for granted as well. If it were as hard for men to get off …

I’m not red pill. I have never met a red pill person in real life. Most men, myself included, love and cherish women even if they can’t seem to attract any. Men are open to most women, women are decidedly NOT open to most men. It’s simple data, not morality

I think ironically men tend to feel that way more often. When women have issues with men, most of society will tell her that she’s perfect as she is, and the men are at fault. When men have problems with women, it’s obviously their fault, and they need to work on themselves. In any case, I think there is always some nuance here. Data shows that men aren’t picky, even about who they would try to have a real longterm relationship with. Women, on the other hand, are notoriously picky, to put it a l…

This isn’t a personal attack, but the old adage is always useful in dating. “If every person you meet is a problem, the problem may actually be you”. I promise you not 100% of Gen Z men are like this. Maybe you should look deeply into what kind of men you have been giving your interest and attention to. If 100% of them are an issue, it’s not men it’s something else

Okay, so let’s extend that logic further. Men are CONSTANTLY portrayed as doing less work at home, helping less with kids/child raising, and being less active in relationships after they’re established. But we don’t see ANY other women calling the women who complain out, telling them to just stop dating/marrying those kinds of men, have better standards. It’s absolutely unheard of. If you personally don’t want kids and all the responsibility and costs in time, effort, money, sanity…. lol that’s totally understandable. But for many people what you’re saying isn’t true and it may be your normal but it’s not THE normal. Kids give more than they take for the right people, and the right relationship ( or as you put it, life) doesn’t end or even necessarily have a reduction in quality because of kids. I think you’re personalizing something that he’s talking about in regard to society. No individual is responsible for any other other individuals needs, that’s absolutely true. But the idea is that certain things, if not obtainable for the average person, create a real issue in society. If men on average struggle to find relationships, and begin to lack satisfaction or motivation in their lives, it does become a societal issue. The thing is, every single man (well, 99.99%) who would have an AI g/f would prefer the real deal. It’s just that, for various reasons, they either feel it’s unobtainable for them, or the only options they have don’t feel worth the costs (energy, time, money, etc). In that way, artificial partners can become a “reasonable” option. It’s better than the alternatives. Can it ever truly replace women, I doubt that very much. I'm absolutely saying that the vast majority of men aren't this type. Same way I'm saying most women see most of us as invisible. Not ridiculous at all. It's like saying "women have ovaries". Does that makes them a hive mind any more than making an obvious fact like "most women's dating psychology is pretty similar"? It's not that wild miss. Like saying "most men are into X/Y/Z"

Can we quit the strawman argument? Most men are not this type. We've said it a million times, the vast majority of quiet, stable, safe, relationship seeking men are invisible. That doesn't actually mean they don't count. The power dynamics women create by only being interested in the most attractive (not purely in a physical sense) men lead to those men being FAR less interested in committing. Passport bros aren't just looking to get laid... yeah, you could hire a sex worker for that, but what if you want a wife? What if you want a family? What if you want love? You will find, and often believe, what you like to. Especially on the internet. Most "passport bros" aren't here talking about it. They just went and did it. I live in a midsize, popular city. Not LA, or Chicago, or NYC. But still, there are plenty of men I know who went and did the PPB thing and brought back wives that they, for the most part, are very happy with. I tried to state plainly that it's exactly the same situation, yes she gets 100% if I cheat. Ultimately, if you don't believe it, that's fine I don't have time or energy to waste convincing you, but I would absolutely take that deal, as it IS safe, because the only way to lose is if you betray your partner. If it means anything to you, it’s not about gendered roles. Under my own terms, I’d GLADLY be the stay at home parent. I absolutely would not say that raising kids and playing homemaker is without value. I would say it’s nowhere near the contribution of being sole bread winner. And I say that as someone who would gladly be the partner staying home, under the conditions I set forth in my own example. If I ruin it, I get nothing, if I get betrayed I get half. Staying home and raising kids isn’t anything like the work of going out and making the kind of money necessary for a single income household, in my humble opinion. And I’ve stayed home for two years of a child’s life to raise them; I’d gladly take that spot and let my partner work, but women don’t often like that idea….

What you’re saying makes sense, if you’re judging staying at home in pajamas and raising kids/doing housework to be anything near as rough as working. I do not. As someone who stayed home and raised a daughter for the first two years of her life, I’d so gladly take that position full time if I could. I would GLADLY stay home and play homemaker/dad if my partner wanted to shoulder the burden of being the breadwinner. This might be a controversial take, but I feel like context is key. Let's say a man and a woman have been married, had kids, and built a life together, over 20 years. High school sweethearts, now in their late 30s - early 40s. The man worked, the woman stayed at home to raise kids and make the home. No, that's not at all what I said. I said men don't feel taken care of in this way, by women. That doesn't mean a man gets nothing out of the relationship. Most men do stay in relationships that don't feel mutually taken care of simply because of fear. Getting relationships is extremely difficult for many men, and often it feels like the only alternative to being in a one sided relationship is being single, which men will often avoid at all costs. There are certainly cases where people spout some wild things, and you can tell they’re leaving things out, or misrepresenting the truth, but more often I think the language they are using can be misconstrued against them, in a way that doesn’t jive with the overall intention of there post. A common example of thi…

Every relationship is transactional! The way you define that and the way you express and communicate the terms may vary, but NO relationship EVER is without some kind of give-take proposition. Even if the transaction is love, is kindness, is marriage, is money, is stability, is sex, is companionship….. women just don’t like that this sounds unromantic, but there’s reality and there’s dressing it up like something else. It doesn’t mean love isn’t real, it doesn’t mean people can’t or don’t genuin…

Which man? Where? Who? It all starts with where you're looking. This whole sub is full of people looking in one direction and complaining about what they find, while being totally unwilling to change that direction. Sorting the wheat from the chaff is what I was trying to give advice on. Offer better advice then, if you don't like mine

Okay. I disagree with you on some things, but in the interest of not getting mired in a pointless argument, I'll just say this. Either it's possible to do something, or not. What would your advice be? Even if EVERYTHING you said was true, what would you advise? If you thought men were perfect liars, and no woman was safe from them hiding their intentions, would you say the answer is to never chance love, chance intimacy, chance relationships? If you think waiting for months will work, the obviou…

Sure, but you understand how the reality is they are normal. Call them unfair, call them immoral, whatever, but the fact is they exist and they are a normal part of life. We aren't all the same, we look for different things in each other. Women tend to care less about body count than men. I get that you don't like it, but what do you expect to happen? You expect it to change?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 07:10 PM

What you're talking about in your example isn't reality, it's fantasy, just as the example in mine is. The woman has hers, the man has his. Neither is realistic, and neither is what anyone serious about this stuff should be focusing on.

Women are no different. How many want the bad boy that will be golden, but only for them? Many immature women date dangerous men, thinking they won't get hurt. It's all the same shit, just different sides of the coin

From your perspective, sure, it is hypocritical. Is it hypocritical for a 5' women to only want 6' men? Is it hypocritical for a woman who works a 40k a year job to want to date men who make 6 figures? Is it hypocritical for women to expect a man to always make the first move, ask them out, etc etc? The dating world has never been symmetrical. You just don't like the parts that don't favor you or align with your ideas

The same way a wealthy man vets for a gold digger. Not by never spending money, but by spending time and paying attention. You shouldn't need to hold out for more than a couple weeks max (assuming you're seeing them fairly regularly) to get a decent read on a person. I can't educate you on how to read people, it's just a skill that comes with time and experience. If you've never dated anyone and have no experience, it's going to be real hard, but you can look to other's experiences and look at s…

This idea that people are helpless slaves to what they find attractive is pure nonsense. Hear me out: The human race, like every other animal out there, is designed to reproduce. We are designed to be able to find attraction in "most" others of the opposite sex; basically all but the most deformed, sickly, etc. Only in modern times have we been so spoiled and changed by all the artificial cosmetic nonsense that we turn up our noses at everyone. The key is to actually get to know people. The pers…

I don't think the OP's point is to deny reality. Most men on here that complain about their struggles in dating are trying to make women understand why men are saying the things they say, and acting the way they do. Sure, if you want to make an argument about inherent worth and it's imbalance in dating, you can, but the point is don't expect men to give a shit about women or their struggles if they don't care about ours. That is a total misrepresentation of what he said... he said men want sex more than women, and are more likely to talk about sex. /r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 10:30 PM

Bro.... none of those things have any chance at becoming apparent when 80% of all relationships start online. People say online dating sucks, and it does, but it's insanely hard to meet people in person these days, so it's rock or hard place. Going out and cold approaching people is a no go, trying to find ways to meet people in a "safe, friendly, organic way" is extremely difficult, as once you're out of school and into the adult working world you have so little time, energy, and money. If you’re desperate enough to be some woman’s stooge, in the hopes of getting laid, good for you, more power to you OP. Some of us simply recognize the game for what it’s become, and have enough self respect to walk away when it’s inequitable, which just so happens to be 90% of the time these days. It's crazy the level of gaslighting in this thread. Makeup, better clothes, and the like technically existing for men is not really the point. Is that some kind of strawman? I’m happy with one woman for the rest of life (provided it’s a good relationship obviously). Being open to other things doesn’t negate that. Personally, I can’t imagine being interested in that situation not because I wouldn’t enjoy it, but because I’ve read too many stories about couples doing that kind of thing and having it unravel their whole sexual relationship and to me it’d never be worth the risk
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 12:27 AM

I disagree, as a man, that men can’t be satisfied sexually by one woman. I can and have been for many years at a time. It’s not some biological imperative.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 10:57 PM

Actually, it’s not mutually exclusive. In an ideal situation, men would love for women to easily accept and commit to one man, hopefully for good. That’s not the same as easily sleeping with everyone. Be picky, be discriminating, within reason, but be monogamous.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 08:20 AM

How on earth is this still, constantly, an issue for some men? As a man, I have zero concern about my dick size. I have dated/slept with enough women, and had enough conversations, to know that they are all different, with different preferences. Sure, some women will care about it, but most won't. If you've spent ANY time online looking into this, you'll have read that, over and over and over again. Guess what, some women (a tiny percentage) might care enough to not date you. But way more women …
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 11:51 PM

We’ve given you the answers, and maybe you don’t like them, but there’s no argument to be had. None of us decided how any of this works, that’s just how it is. We can’t change it to any great degree, no matter how unjust or unfair or “socially blah blah blah” you think it is. It’s not based in any of that, and we can’t just change our feelings or preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 08:26 PM

I think at the very least there’s a part of this that is rooted in biology and basic inherent instincts. A man and a women find different things attractive in each other. A man who has slept with many women has been marked as a successful and desired specimen, and ostensibly would be a good candidate for having successful and attractive kids with. Meanwhile, a woman who will just sleep around with almost anyone is looked down upon as not a good partner in a reproductive role, as not a good perso…

There is very large amount of nuance to the subject of attraction, but for the overwhelming majority of circumstances, men are much more interested in a much larger swath of the opposite sex than women are interested in men. There are plenty of people who are overly picky, but way more women than men turn up their noses at their "looksmatch" or "equal level" if such a thing even exists. This isn't a societal issue, and isn't relevant here. Nobody is forcing women to do most of the housework. This is a decision you make, you put up with. " divorce and leave her destitute" if she's the one initiating divorce (nearly always the woman) she shouldn't get paid to do it. This is the problem with divorce not being judged by what and who caused them. You can cheat on your partner, move on emotionally with someone else, then blow up the relationship and collect $$$ on the way out (and take away the kids half the time or more too). This is why many men don't want to get married

It’s funny how so many people turn the relationship vs hookups argument upside down depending on circumstance. Many people are looking to just hook up, and if you ask why it’s so hard to just get laid a lot, you will often be told most women aren’t looking for that, therefore you have to be exceedingly good looking, charming and seductive, ideally both if you want to hook up a lot. Why is it okay for women to proclaim that gender based roles and ideology are solid and unwavering, but when men do it we are derided and insulted? And so then some of us who have genuinely tried to embrace the concept of equality and non traditionalism get burned for practicing what everyone else preached to us, sometimes told we aren’t manly enough, should be more masculine, should act or feel ways that are proscribed to us rather than what we feel from within, all while being told men and mas…

You sound like a clown when someone asks you a perfectly legitimate question and you immediately get defensive and dismissive, attaching your own drama to it. It’s a perfectly valid question and the fact that you don’t actually have a definition, but rather to defer to some vague tribalism nonsense is hugely telling. I’m not radically liberal, and don’t agree with what many people might refer to as wokeism, but half the problem in the world is this need to classify and “other” every fucking thin…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 10:43 PM

I hope there’s no sarcasm there. The truth is, many of us learn the hard way that going for looks alone will burn you, sometimes spectacularly so, and then you want the average looks with the awesome personality far more

I’m not here to try to waste time arguing with you about your own mindset. If you want to understand men, and the nuances of relationship dynamics, there are plenty of things to understand. Ridiculous beliefs like “ALL men HATE women” are just a complete waste of time and energy, and will only taint your own view of the world and people as a whole. But think what you like, I was only genuinely responding to the op, but so many are so full of vitriol that they don’t want understanding they want v…

I wasn’t talking about weight specifically, and this also is not what happened with the men I know personally. Their wives aren’t overweight, they just aren’t generally speaking anywhere near as attractive as their husbands, in physical attributes

Wow, so you went digging through my post history to try to validate your own outrage? That’s troubling, you should probably step back from the Reddit for awhile. If men truly hated women, they could easily say nothing and never interact with them. Men don't hate women, they hate that they love women, feel they need a woman's love and validation, and often struggle to navigate those needs. Men operate in a logical world, for the most part. Every single need outside of the love of a woman can be solved with concrete logic. Do X, you get Y result. Either you want it badly enough to act on that, or you don't. But love is different. There are few concrete ans…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 04:04 PM

Also, yes, larger women tend to be nicer and have better personalities, that has been my experience too. Is that because they have to be? I don't know, I often wonder about the "chicken and egg" situation of does attractiveness create personality.... but in any case, the nicest woman on earth unfortunately will struggle to date if she is obese
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 03:23 PM

This is one of those goes without saying things that sometimes you find yourself somehow needing to say. Yes, of course personality is a big deal. All the looks in the world can't make up for a bad personality, being boring, close minded, unfriendly, etc etc etc. And certain traits can make a 5 a 10, if their warmth and kindness and intelligence and all of that shines through and makes you love them. This should go without saying. However, on average, people are average in their personalities. A…

This guy is ABSOLUTELY full of it! I have lived here in Vegas my whole life. Everyone who has lived here knows Vegas is an incredibly toxic dating scene. It's so hard to make genuine connections here, and most people are so transient, long term connections are super rare
/r/seduction31/05/25 05:10 AM

Define "buff guy". But honestly, yes, I constantly see normal/thin weight men with overweight women. It's WAY WAY more common than the other way around. In fact, I am pretty regularly shocked when good looking guys I know show me pictures of or I meet their wives/girlfriends and it feels like even said good looking guys are dating down
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 04:23 AM

Again, I’m not educated enough to say if this is more nature vs nurture, but whatever the case, the majority of men are able to comprehend hard logic far more than emotions. Emotions are ethereal, can change, are fluid, and whether you want to admit it or not, seldom follow logic. Physical, mechanical labor, is pure logic. You do this, you get this outcome, and you can determine what’s going on by physically examining the issue. Feelings aren’t concrete that way; if you come to me and say my bra…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 01:47 AM

What I’m saying is many men aren’t taught it by their parents or anyone around them, and many of them aren’t even really aware enough of it to do anything about it. Many struggle to understand, let alone start to make any effort to improve
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 01:43 AM

But that’s the thing. The vast majority of men are not good at emotional intelligence or reading body language. By nature or nurture or somewhere in between, we tend to not be taught this stuff, certainly not like women. This is why men often miss cues, and fail to understand the perspective of women. It’s a foreign language to most of us. I think we (society) is starting to be a little better about it, but we’re just not there yet

I’m afraid this is one of those issues that women just can’t understand, as they can’t step into the shoes of men. Society, especially women, treat men very differently, and men are no longer comfortable with approaching women. /r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 05:35 PM

Approaching women is nothing like it was 20 years ago, before social media, online dating and smart phones. It’s no longer safe or desirable for most men to pursue women this way. I know, I’ve lived it and it’s not the same. I had steady relationships until just a few years ago; now it’s all but impossible to even get a date
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:18 PM

You’re trying to say every man who struggles with loneliness is automatically toxic, and therefore would only be able to have a toxic relationship; that’s just completely ridiculous. There are a vast number of perfectly decent, sane, valid men out there dealing with this issue. They don’t all hate or blame women either; they simply feel lost, lonely, and/or depressed with this situation. It’s perfectly reasonable to desire love, partners, having kids; none of that makes them toxic
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:10 PM

You could have married someone who was more willing to work with you. I’m not trying to be mean, but we all are responsible for choosing good partners are we not?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 10:53 PM

Why are you so heartless? If you hate men, I’m sorry you feel that way, and I’m sorry if someone hurt you. But attacking other men only throws fuel on that fire. There are so many of us who aren’t anti women, we’re just suffering. You could at least leave us alone if you don’t care or want to offer any kind of useful opinion, advice, etc

Why is it always framed this way, that men’s view is disgusting, inhuman, etc while women’s are “the right” or “proper” way to view things? Men are driven by their hormones to want sex. This isn’t exclusive to humans, basically all males of most species are driven this way. We also happen to have the capacity for, and the desire for, intimacy, connection, companionship, etc, but the general majority of healthy men desire sex. /r/PurplePillDebate25/04/25 12:57 AM

It is hard work getting a woman to give you a chance to show that you embody any of this. Which is exactly why so many men are upset; women love to say the bar is so low, it's so easy, and then you try and no one will even give you a date, or two, let alone get to know you enough to learn who you are and what non-physical traits you even embody, therefore no, it's not a low bar; maybe it's a low bar AFTER you pass the extremely high bar of getting that far to begin with

It’s absolutely not. Look, let me tell you one thing no sane person will ever disagree with. Men are absolutely obsessed with sex, it’s our strongest natural drive. If a man is treating you like crap, it’s because he doesn’t feel any need to treat you well enough to meet his needs, and that means he’s getting them met elsewhere. I honestly don’t know many men who “don’t want women to have choices”. It’s the hypocrisy that pisses people off. If you want to abolish gender roles as a social norm, you need to extend that courtesy to both sexes. Which isn’t the current lip service. As long as most women want most men to be traditional in the ways that benefit them, you’re going to have massive relationship issues between the sexes 🤷🏻‍♂️

How is it that both men and women complain that no one is serious about settling down and all that? Occams Razor says it’s likely that one or both sexes have unreasonable expectations or standards, otherwise the math would be mathing and people would be pairing up more. We cannot change our nature, and that's not what I was even alluding to. We also can be kind about it, gentle about it. Imagine if I went around talking about women like nothing so much more than the dirt I need to plant my seed, etc. This is what I liken to the way you seem to describe, and perhaps relish, the idea?

Can you imagine, using such hateful, ugly language to explain such ideology? Regardless of the validity, human beings are more than the some of their primitive, animal biology. Or at least, that's what women claim when men explain ANY aspect of their nature in such terms. Funny how that doesn't seem to apply to your chosen lexicon. No, women aren't the "filtration" system. Survival of the fittest is. And this too, is beyond biology in our modern world. Successful people are often not "biological…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/24 04:24 AM

You don’t get to dictate standards for everyone, only for yourself. There are plenty of people of all sexes and types who enjoy non-committal sex, hookups, flings, etc. You can hate these people if you want, but you’re fighting a battle you will never win.

How are you supposed to know? Because both common sense and common decency should dictate that you don’t just point to the worst example of a subset of people acting a terrible way and make blanket statements. It’s actually incredibly easy, and if you don’t understand this I think you’re simply a bad faith actor. “Men go out of their way to defend these subs” which men? The men from the subs themselves? These are things men often feel regarding single mothers (don't shoot the messenger just explaining commonly held opinions!) Women who are single mothers show poor decision making, in that they chose a loser to have a kid with and didn't see the red flags before letting that happen Single mothers often expect you to be a father figure to their child, which includes devoting your resources (time and money) without allowing you the authority to actually be a good father figure (won't allow you to …

lmao TF are you smoking? Your line about "they realized they are now in charge of all household affairs" is particularly laughable. You clearly don't know most men, certainly not most MGTOW men. Maybe that could make sense 40+ years ago, but men above the early 20s these days happily do their own chores, I don't see any men longing for women to "take care of the household affairs" and if anything MGTOW is stronger than ever. Of course, there's no way to know how someone will be. The entire idea of the first date or two is finding out if dating the person is even worth it. But that's my only point, both people should come in at a neutral point, cover themselves, and neither will feel like they were unfairly used

Whoah, are you kidding? You asked why and you got your answer. Men don’t like to feel like some woman’s entertainer, wallet, and transportation. Men who are kind enough to take a woman out on a proper date expect that the women at least be interested in them and grateful (no, not as a piece of meat but grateful in a decent, human way). Men being treated this way is exactly why this whole notion of being “taken care of and courted old school” is harder and harder to find. You can’t have your cake…

Do you realize how crazy and sexist you sound? Imagine if I said "If women aren't attractive and aren't submissive they bring nothing to the table". Your table sounds hollow, and shallow, and sad. No, in fact, not all men want to be a provider. That’s exactly as wild as men saying all women just want to be mothers. Or stay home, or be provided for. When will women let men loose from these traditional roles that they themselves staunchly oppose… for themselves? I never said men were morally superior, I only attempted to show you how women’s hypergamy as it’s described in popular culture is not at all like men being attracted to women
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/24 01:38 AM

It might be hard to describe, but think of it like this: in theory, a woman might see a person as high value not just because they are physically attractive, but because of the way society sees them. High status, popular, loved and cherished and valued by others. Whereas a man doesn’t typically care as much if at all how the women is viewed (within reason) by society as long as he is PERSONALLY attracted to her. Like they often say, a rich man will gladly date a beautiful girl who works at Wendy…

I don’t actually believe most men feel women can solve this problem for us. Women, other men, and even society as a whole feel stuck, and so men are much more inclined to stick to their habits of keeping everything in, hoping to feel love from that one partner, and sadly keeping the status quo because it feels like any attempt to change it is not only impossible, but will only backfire on you. I’m not saying that’s great, but nobody seems to know how to actually effectively change things. Mostly…

Speaking as a man here, I think it’s nuanced and not as simple as some may think. Men are this way because we have been shown first hand our whole lives that we aren’t valued that way and very few if any people will want to hear us vent or be open with ourselves. Women in particular I think just can’t possibly understand what this is like. They sometimes say we “should just be vulnerable, open, etc” and then when you naively try that suddenly you “need to just man up dude” or in some cases peopl…

I don't think men look at it that way; men aren't fixated on dating up, they are simply interested in what they find attractive. Most might admit that they think such and such women is "out of their league" but that's the extent of it

It's because only a good wife will care for and about a man in a particular way, that seemingly no other person can. I don't mean "cares" about him, or pays attention, though for 90% of men that's ALSO true. Women get that from sources all over the place, even from unwanted sources. It's not that women are just so wonderful, it's that no one gives a shit about men generally

You got the cart before the horse there, miss. We’re speaking to broad terms, but personal assumptions are something altogether, and are usually quite offensive in nature. The two long term relationships I had were both good, but we weren’t compatible long term. Both ended on good terms and I’m still friends with both. If you were to ask them today, they’d tell you I was a good partner, for the most part. I learned a lot from both. But it’s been many years, and everyone I’ve dated since has been…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 10:19 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 04:55 PM

Your entire frame of mind is wrong though. Sex SHOULDNT be some kind of bribe or treat, and you shouldn’t feel used for having sex with your partner. You should actually love and enjoy your partner as much as they do too, otherwise wtf are you even doing dating them?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 04:50 PM

You keep saying this, but it’s complete nonsense. There are always shitty people, but if you choose to date selfish dirtbags it’s on you, not “every other man in existence”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 04:47 PM

I’m 37. I am no incel. I have had relationships and sex for most of my adult life. Doesn’t change what these guys are saying. I don’t know why women can’t grasp the simple fact that men and women are different. Friends don’t fulfill us the way they do you, we can’t get everything we want and need from them. All the friends in the world will not override a man’s biological desire for a mate

The issue is many, many men want things that society has ordained as only properly attained through gates such as marriage, like monogamous longterm relationships and having children. If he said it and then 6 months later they broke up, this tactless person would likely have not connected those dots. I’m sorry man, but market worth doesn’t work the way you’re making it out to be. Every single person on Earth could agree on your worth, but the person you’re selling to has the final say. Think about this for a second, because it certainly is true. We men get irritated by and criticize women constantly for thinking they set their own worth, thinking they are all 10s, etc. which is absolutely true, the market economics dictate that people, just like products, do not dictate their own market worth. “Market worth” being the important part here. All of this is fluff, when what I think most men really are trying to say is that it’s disappointing and soul crushing to realize most women find almost all men unattractive. It’s very very hard for almost all men to find a woman attracted to them, from the get go, which then allows for them being interested enough to get to know the real you underneath and maybe like you for personality reasons

Having a family, a partner and children, creates a duty to them. This is the family bond you call “love”. Love is deliberate devotion and commitment, not stars and hearts and roses in the air. We’ve lost sight of that

We are agreeable. The thing is, agreeable men are ignored. Women who don’t think most of us aren’t evil, lustful dogs are simply not looking at anyone other than attractive “top tier” men who don’t give a fuck about settling or commitments, as these are the only men who can get away with that type of behavior

/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 10:03 PM

If I may, I think the difference is men are okay with being like other men. Women are the ones who strive to make you think they're so "unique, special, NOT LIKE OTHER WOMEN!" you see this constantly on social media. Women seem to have this idea that they not only are unique special individuals, but therefore they deserve unique, special things/partners/etc

A woman who wants to find a good partner and settle down can date and find that man relatively easily, assuming she doesn’t have outrageous unrealistic requirements. A man who isn’t incredibly charismatic and good looking can’t anywhere nearly as easily go find a date, let alone a good woman

You’re presenting anecdotal evidence, and of what, I’m not even sure here. I need only point to the literal thousands of years of human history where men will willingly put their own lives behind those of their kin. See war, see pre-civilized tribal life, see modern social norms (Titanic women and children first, etc) so it’s very safe to say I speak for most men. Nothing is ever 100% all, but we’re speaking to the generalities here not the exceptions

Although there is quite a bit of nuance missing, essentially you’re proving the point. For better or for worse, men don’t see things this way. I can’t say whether it’s biological, sociological, or some mixture of both, but we do often feel the call to sacrifice ourselves for those we love. Kids, partners, even just friends. This is a noble aspect of men that just doesn’t seem to be shared by women and on some level at least, it shows the point being made is true. Women are far more narcissistic …

But if you don’t know someone, and moreover if they don’t know you, how can you get mad that they notice your looks? How else can it start? Yes, some men surely don’t care about anything else and only think of physicality, but all men start by looking at you and admiring what they see. Everything else stems from that, so it’s not fair to assume sexual attraction is ill intended

If we assume what you’re saying is true, and we assume that a decent amount of other women feel this way too, why is it insanely hard to get a women to actually know you? The insane hypocrisy! Women cry about anything and everything, from serious issues (family death) to “irrelevant” (coworker spoke poorly of them; /work drama) and men are expected to listen and respect it. Meanwhile men cry about anything and women are repulsed. Lesson learned first hand

“Severely underdeveloped personalities” what does this even mean? I have yet to meet many fellow men who don’t have opinions, ideas, hobbies, and goals. What more is it?

But you’re not actually even saying anything. “Water is wet”. People would prefer to have relationships with the best people. The issue is I think many men feel like women compare their realistic options to fantasy options, which leads to as you’d expect, not being satisfied/having overly inflated expectations and requirements. There are many supposed reasons for this; I don’t even necessarily care to fight over the what ifs. The idea that the vast majority of men are unappealing to the vast maj…

You’re arguing a different point. Everyone is superficial, which is really just saying everyone has a physical sense of whether or not another person is attractive. Men absolutely care more about looks than women do, but that just means a women factors in other aspects more than a man does when she decides how attractive he is overall. But that doesn’t mean men have higher physical standards than women. Men on average find something like 50-80% of all women attractive enough for their tastes phy…

No, of course the world doesn’t owe men a beautiful wife. But that’s not why men are checking out. It’s because they can’t earn that beautiful wife either, or even one that’s looks matched to them, or in many cases the amount of effort it would take simply isn’t worth it
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 10:26 AM
9

This is downright laughable. It’s well known that men find way more women attractive than women find men. It’s women who by and large hold out for someone above their looks match, while men are all too eager to settle for women in and even below their league. Unless of course you’re only talking about the top 10%, who don’t need to settle for anyone and have the luxury of being picky
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 10:13 AM

Bingo! You nailed it! This is why men are checking out! Because society, but extra especially women, don’t care about us! And you think that’s just swell You are currently taken care of, paid attention to by, and valued by men and society. You can’t imagine and don’t care to understand what that’s not like. It’s literally the privileged class turning up their noses at the peasants

But getting casual sex with women is incredibly different for you, a lesbian woman, vs for a straight man. You can’t just ignore the differences, as they are integral to the conversation. I’ve already explained why getting casual sex is easier for you, but to add to this, men on average crave sex much, much more than the average woman. That’s without even getting into the complex psychological, biological, and sociological differences between a woman and a man pursuing casual sex, even if both a…

As a single father with a two and a half year old daughter, I would like to mention the well documented phenomena of women being impressed and/or attracted to men who are good (nurturing, you might even say?) fathers, and to a lesser extent men who are good with pets. There is a reason why some have said going on walks with your dog, or taking your kid out to the park/market/insert public place can be good chick magnets, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 02:33 AM
5

What are you even talking about? I never said men get a pass for anything. All I said was as a woman you have no idea what anything is like as a man, full stop. You can’t possibly know, just like a man can’t possibly know what it’s like to be a woman
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 09:30 PM
6

Oh the irony. I’m very liberal and detest about 90% of the conservative platform. Don’t see how that has anything to do with what I said though. Most women are only interested in the type of men who act this way. It’s telling that you immediately got defensive and tried to change what I was saying when it suggested any women might need to be accountable for who they choose to go after and who they choose to ignore
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 09:05 PM
7

Exactly. Again, so many women don’t have the discussion with a man they enjoy seeing, sleep with him once or a few times, and then get mad and feel used. Everyone needs to learn to communicate more and get over being too meek to have these conversations if they don’t want to feel used
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 08:26 PM
7

Because you’re a woman, you’re not threatening. You can’t get them pregnant then leave. You are far less scary in many ways. And because you’re a lesbian, they’re far more open to hooking up with you. It’s not even comparable. Women hate when we tell them “how it is” from their perspective. Kindly stop acting like you could possibly comprehend what it’s like as a man, to do anything It’s not the same. You can’t ever know
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 08:14 PM
5

That’s not what they said… duh, no one wants to be lied to. Obviously. The issue is women ignore the type of men who actually have respect and morals, opting instead for the pretty boy, the charmers, the exact type of men who have the charisma to win you over, which also means they have no reason not to smash and dash, on to the next girl

That’s not really what I’m talking about. Women do love looking/feeling beautiful, and many women love the amount of power that beauty gives them. But what they can’t understand is the other side of that. Of being so driven by lust, by falling for the other sex so easily just by seeing them. Obviously only a fool lets those drives direct them, but it’s extremely hard not to be affected by those hormonal drives.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/23 08:17 PM
4

Honestly, that sounds great. I often think women can’t emphasize with men because they can’t see the world the way we do. They have no idea how driven we are by looks, and it’s not as simple as just calling us dogs or whatever. I don’t necessarily blame them, more like it’s just kinda depressing. Wish I didn’t feel attracted to the other sex so often and so easily, it would be so much easier
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/23 06:56 PM

I’m a man. I’m not like this. No man I know has been like this. Even if my evidence and yours are both anecdotal, I’m a man and you’re a woman. You don’t have as much if any say on this matter. /r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 06:34 AM

This is where I agree with you. I NEVER leave my daughter to be raised by a screen, and no decent parent ever should. It’s tantamount to child abuse, the things this does to a small child. Even when she was under a year though, and did indeed require near 24/7 attention, still better than any job
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 06:33 AM

Sorry, you lost me instantly when you said raising a child is harder than any job… and I would know, I’m a single father. I’ve never had a job that was any easier OR more enjoyable than being home with my daughter. Playing with her, teaching her things, and sharing our experiences are wonderful fulfilling things, but they’re far from difficult. That's not how value works, anywhere ever. Now don't get my message confused; I'm not here saying women shouldn't have the right to do whatever they want with whoever they want etc etc but the value of anything is decided by the market, not the seller. I suppose here in America, one could argue it’s “normal” for everyone to be overweight. Certainly our lifestyle and food choices would reflect that, but that doesn’t mean we have no agency or control. It’s definitely not a good thing to accept poor health as inevitable or something we shouldn’t work to avoid

I am a parent. The mother of my child went through two pregnancies, and I saw for myself and experienced for myself what a change in lifestyle it is. I think the thing here is that, regardless of how you look, there’s a much more “reasonable” amount of men who would still be interested in you as a woman (and no, I’m not talking about just for sex), whereas due to the nature of many things in recent culture (10-15 years max) it increasingly feels like average, even above average men, can’t find women who are in their range looks wise and even below in some cases. Take this as you will, but none of this is about “gassing each other up”. In this age of social media and instant gratification, we are breeding narcissism and delusions of grandeur in all kinds of people, men and women. And it serves no one to misconstrue discussions. This question also pertains to overweight women specifically. Being a normal or underweight woman is at baseline way more attractive than just being a normal weight or skinny man. As a man, it’s more like you don’t have weight as a negative, but it’s not really a positive unless you have good tone, muscles, etc whereas just being not overweight is a huge boost for women

Men absolutely do not care about what a woman makes, at least not directly. Now a days, the only reason a man might care is because he may feel apprehensive about potentially losing a lot to a woman who may not make much of they divorce at some point, or feel nervous about her potentially leaving him at some point if she makes more

So that’s YOUR point of view. And that’s fine. If you want to look at men that way, you will live your reality and your mileage will vary based on that. Everyone is free to assume, but they only make things harder or easier for themselves. A man who doesn’t pay for your date has no correlation with raising children. Not true at all. Men, whether because of socializing, inherent biology, or some mix of both, very much care about strange women, doubly so if they are attractive. It’s hard to say how much of this hard, emotionally detached logic it would be healthy to dwell on, but that seems the simple fact that upsets men so much. Men are hardwired to want women, to care about them, to seek them out in a way that I just don’t believe women are, but perhaps worse than that, they also for the most part seem to …

This is why dating apps suck so badly for men. I would say so much of a woman’s attraction to a man comes from things she can’t perceive from just pictures or even a few lines of text that it becomes what we see; next to impossible to be noticed. In order to really stand out in such a situation, you have to be really exceptionally physically attractive, which of course the average man is not

Look, feel free to disagree but shrugging off social pressures and norms is no easy thing, especially for so many desperate men who have an uphill battle trying to be loved or respected or appreciated. If you’re a woman, I definitely don’t expect you to understand it because it comes so much more easily and “freely” for the most part
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 07:33 PM

Not exactly. Men make those choices in hopes of becoming seen as good enough to “earn” a relationship or sex

I love how often people respond with these immediate strawman put-words-in-your-mouth arguments. Nowhere did he say women should put out on the first date! Or even the first month. He said if you are holding out, which usually means more than the average of a few weeks or so, which I think most men in most situations are totally understandable about. Past that point many lose interest because by then you should know how you feel and things should be progressing and if they are not it’s a huge re…

Your post made me wonder if you were either very young, very wealthy, or just worked very boring easy jobs. But this attitude confirmed the young and immature part. Everyone has different interests and hobbies and if you can find someone who is compatible with you in that way it’s a beautiful thing. It is certainly not a waste of life if you enjoy it, and more so if you can share it with someone. On the subject of art like movies, music, etc half of the fun is discussing the themes, meaning, the…

There is this incredibly vague and nebulous means of attraction women often cite, where it’s not just looks but it is to some extent. And then again it varies in what women you ask. So I’m not saying date someone you find ugly. But women often say “He was cute, he has a lot going for him but I just didn’t get the tingles”. That’s the “give him a bit more time” or “give him a better chance” situation I’m referring to. Sometimes people take a few dates to warm up and become who they are when they’…

I’m not ugly, but pretty average looks wise. I’m not obese, but I am 15lbs or so overweight (thanks Covid/pandemic!). I have a slight OCD, but nothing I let affect major things in life. But on the plus side? I have a fantastic career, I own my house, I’m very very good with money and I’m generous where it’s warranted. I’m far from a social butterfly, but I like people and get along with nearly everyone. I am open minded, fair, honest, and I genuinely want the best for those around me. I try real…

I don't know where you're getting that; I wonder if you bothered to read what I wrote here or elsewhere in the thread. Trust me, like many others I know exactly how little the interests and affections of men mean to the average woman. They often make it abundantly clear, even when we attempt to surmise the most polite, inoffensive, and respectful way to approach them. As a man openly and honestly just looking to find way to approach women outside of apps, which are toxic and miserable for 95% of…

Unless there are flashing neon red WARNING SIGNS, this is a silly thing to worry about. This sort of speaks to what I mean; women seem to over analyze, become hyper critical, and make snap judgments before they even speak to most men. That’s what we wish would stop

This is ridiculous. Seeing a cute girl and wanting to get to know her to see if there could be anything there =/= “just wants to fuck her” that’s you attaching your own baggage to the situation. Not all men feel this way, not even most Id say and the real travesty is the kind of guys who do only want to fuck don’t care what you think and are happy to openly flirt or ask you out as it’s all a numbers game to them but a decent guy often feels too much concern that he’d be crossing a boundary or of…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/22 05:52 AM

But that’s just it, that’s how he would be able to get to know you. That’s the whole point! How can he already know you enough to ask you out if he doesn’t know you?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/22 05:49 AM

“Have a reason to ask you out” so what exactly does this mean? If I see an attractive women somewhere that I have never met, and I’m interested, what reason could I possibly have without having spoken to her? Or is that what you’re suggesting, that it’s never appropriate to ask out a girl you haven’t already been fortuitous enough to have had a reason to speak to previously?

I think most men simply wish (as fruitless as it may seem) that women would understand that when they say "There are no decent men, nobody wants a relationship" etc, it's often offensive to the chunk of guys who never even get a chance to present themselves as that kind of man. Whether you think it's reasonable or not, many men are dismissed very quickly if not instantly, and sometimes it's really silly. Social media/online dating has seemingly exacerbated this to the point that you get all the …
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/22 05:37 AM

You’re deflecting, while essentially agreeing with what he said. You keep making this about sex and nowhere is it mentioned or the point. Many men are sick of women who do what he said; expect expensive dinners/dates/gifts and large efforts before they even know each other while simultaneously showing little to no effort of their own. Please notice I haven’t said that effort has anything to do with sex

You touched on something I feel is so hypocritical about the way men and women are viewed and judged. If a woman is pregnant, or on her period, society often excuses her/is more lenient in judging her actions because of her “wild hormones”. But then men who are every bit as susceptible to their own hormones are demonized, called dogs, are told they should be able to listen to their brain rather than their dicks, etc. This is absolutely not to say that inappropriate behavior is ever excusable. I’…

This is such a sad and broad brush to paint with. A dominant partner in a situation with a submissive partner where he or she takes care of a lot of the responsibility in the relationship simply does not want their partner to be an additional source of stress, upset, having to argue etc. they want them to be their peace, to help them decompress and escape their other sources of challenge in life. No, you’re overstating your point. Men aren’t quitting their jobs, and deciding to live at home. That’s not how it works. Almost nobody wants to live at home regardless. Many men are forced to be at home because they can’t afford to live alone. Many men can’t “afford” to do many things with their time or energy that “most” women require, so they decide to give up trying because the fight is uphill and not guaranteed to even pay off. I’m 35, open to dating anyone from about 25-40. I don’t think the range is any issue. And when women talk about men being creepy, it’s often too vague to actually mean anything. Stalking, being perverted, unwarranted advances etc are one thing. But one womens romance is another’s creepy behavior, depending on whether she likes the guy or not. In any case, I am consummately polite and cautious whenever it comes to meeting new women, so… I would really hope being “creepy” has nothing to do with me

This completely misses the point. Even if men and women were exactly the same in this regard (and they aren’t, sorry to rain on your parade but it’s far more complex than that), the situation itself is largely to blame. If we flipped it around and suddenly women were lusting after most men, then men would get picky and fickle etc.

If men who wanted a long term relationship and kids with the support system for said family in place were rare and in demand, then people such as myself wouldn’t have such a hard time finding a match. As I clarified, I don’t think basic life skills are crazy impressive. But you can’t have it both ways; women constantly complain that most men don’t have any domestic skills or are too lazy, so when I say look, I see why that would be frustrating, and I am not like that, I have those skills and am willing to do my share and then some, you are so quick to tell me how that don’t mean anything etc…. Is this supposed to be a rebuttal to what was said? Don't generalize men (or anyone really, that's not cool). Some people, men or women, might do this, and both men and women who do are assholes. This is in no way a counter to what Abbreviations was trying to say

What if I don't want friends? Why is it always about "making friends"? Many of us are so busy in our lives that we don't have time to go make tons of new friends, yet somehow (imagine, if you will!) we still want a partner

I’m sorry, but if someone like this is struggling to find love, it just reinforces the idea that maybe women should take some agency in their love lives and quit waiting on everything to be handed to them. She could likely have nearly any guy she wanted, but never asked anyone? Why… could it be she feared rejection? How ironic!

Whether you think this simply is the case or not, I want to know, do you think it’s right? That’s it’s okay? Men suffer in silence all the time and break down inside, until they can no longer. This isn’t healthy. Even if you think it’s the way it is now, don’t you think it should be changed, that we should try to progress in this? I assume you’re also a man, but if not please say so

None of what I was saying was intended to be an insult, just maybe a wake up call. Not that you’d care for the plight of the opposite sex most likely. I was using what you were saying to that other person as an example to explain what the dating scene writ large is like for men. You might be an exceptional person, or not. But that’s besides the point I was trying to make. And you happened to help my point. You immediately deflected into this “well of course I’d have to meet them and see if we ge…

Okay, come on. Are you trolling? You’re here in purple pill. You must know the ups and downs here, right? Men are upset because dating can be lose lose if you aren’t in the top 20% or more in attractiveness. Women don’t want you to approach them in public, but then you also have no chance in OLD either. Women think they are all worthy of the “chad”, tall, fit, smart, handsome, etc regardless of what they themselves bring to the table. Social media / online dating ruined things and no one has rea…

Absolute deflection. This question was about a woman’s requirements. You literally get to choose the requirements, and yet that still isn’t enough. You don’t get to complain about generalizations regarding mens profiles when given the explicit opportunity to list your personal requirements. This is the point we’re making. If you ask men what they want, then present them with women who fulfill those requirements, they will accept most if not all of them. Even when given that chance, women will st…

Ah but this isn’t about getting along. You can’t know whether you get along or not by looking at pictures. We’re talking about initial attraction. You swipe left on tons of guys who fulfill the requirements you listed. Simple as that; you can’t know their personality up front.

The thing is, I’m sure we could show you a gallery of 100 men that meet or exceed all of those criteria and you’d likely not be interested in most of them. Show 100 men 1 woman that meets their requirements and you’d probably have 95% acceptance

Man’s nature is to care for and about what women think absolutely. Why do you think we (have to) work so hard just to gain any attention from them? It’s largely women who seem to be incapable of caring about men or their problems. Don’t get it twisted. You might be an outlier, but that doesn’t change the larger narrative society and WOMEN perpetuate

I’m not arguing for or against any point made here, except to say that value is relative to who is judging it. A person can decide only the value they have to themselves, which has very little bearing on their value to others. This for example has a lot to do with women believing they are high value because of their income, or their intelligence, their independence etc when many men don’t value those things at all. Some do, but this is just my food for thought
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 08:43 PM

100000% true. I think a large issue here is women act like they understand what things are like for men, and have no clue. I wish they would all watch that documentary we always mention around here where that lesbian tried being a man for awhile and was horrified at the reality of things on that side
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 09:34 PM

Definitely a miscommunication because it did in fact sound like you were saying you always pay. Of course with good friends I go back and forth on rounds, food, etc. It’s only the idea that you would always pay that didn’t make sense. And I never suggested that if a man does pay he’s entitled to anything
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 09:31 PM

Why would you pay if it’s platonic? Doesn’t this suggest that their time is worth more than your own or that just having a good time with you isn’t equitable? I don’t pay for all my platonic friends when we go hang out

The reason some get annoyed isn’t individual, it’s on the whole. If it seems like an unnaturally large portion of women are happy to stay single because their expectations are perceived (notice that word, and understand that I’m not laying blame just explaining) as unreasonably high, then men who struggle to find relationships are understandably upset and feel it’s a social issue
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 08:30 AM
1

This is truly the woman’s privilege; it’s much much easier for them to accept being alone. Because most of them don’t need sex as validation of love and worth the way most men do, and they can still find social validation in friends and people in general in ways that are either much much harder for men or simply impossible for men. I don’t necessarily blame women for it, but it does exist and most women can’t/won’t empathize

The thing is to most people sexual compatibility is a huge component of a relationship. Getting married before having sex is asking for trouble, especially for virgins who don’t even know what kind of sexual preferences they have. You wouldn’t make that kind of commitment to anything else before knowing what you were signing up for, so it should be an easy thing to understand

I never said women, I said that attitude. It’s an attitude that some women possess, but it has nothing to do with labeling all women that way. I think language is important as far as intention is concerned; what other way do we have to interpret such things with people we don’t know? It’s easy to attach our own prejudices and judgements to the things other people say but I think it’s also important to remember to be open and not color other people with our experience. Just my opinion

Half the problem is this attitude that because men have been raised in a culture that pushes them to stuff their emotions up and not ever appear weak (one reinforced by many many women by the way) they deserve to be ridiculed and laughed at? Maybe you’re not so bright, maybe you’re trolling, but honestly even if it’s more dangerous in relation, it’s not like it’s actually some super dangerous thing to do, as long as you’re taking basic precautions. We know why, biologically, men would feel the need to compete with each other over securing a mate, but for women that's not really biologically a thing, right? Because a man is generally more than happy to mate with all the women he can, biologically speaking. So where does this female notion of competition come from?

Of course there are probably a few guys who will be acting whatever way they think you want so that they could get laid, but that's just part of dating. There are plenty of women who will pretend to be whatever…

No, that's not right at all. Just because you slept with some "losers" doesn't mean all women will do that. And not all "losers" are the same anyhow; your losers might be someone else's winners. It's all subjective, the goal is simply to do and find what YOU want. It's not easy, sure but it's really not easy for most of us anyhow

Why is premarital sex humiliating? I'm seeing a theme here I think. If you just don't like sex, then you need to find someone who also doesn't care much for sex. If you're having to have sex to get a relationship, you're setting yourself up for failure from the get go.

I'm just not sure I understand this at all. If you thought they were ugly, why would you want to date them, let alone sleep with them? Everyone has minimums they need to feel happy about dating someone, but those minimums aren't always easy to find, hence the general dislike for dating so many have. If you enjoy dating, as a man or woman, you're probably outwardly above average attractive, and have an easy time finding dates. I think most of us don't have it so easy

What makes you think this? I’m not sure as a woman you could understand the thinking of younger gen men. No offense

No, this is not the case. If you feel that way fine, but don't generalize for everyone. Being addressed as Young Man (I'm 30, and from 5-now this is always acceptable, when the person addressing me is older than myself) is not inherently condescending. It CAN be used that way , but is often used positively as well. It often does simply acknowledge that a younger person's energy, strength, or flexibility is required as opposed to the older person's abilities who was asking for assistance, etc.

Why is it integral that a guy have non-sexual female friends? For my own part, I find it incredibly hard to have a relationship with a girl, and not begin to find her attractive, if even only because she's smart or interesting, etc. The things that I seek in friends, make me attracted when they are women, so it's easier not to have female friends. Otherwise it's a distraction

I feel like this is an issue that any one, man or woman, could have avoided by communicating. And not all men or woman are a certain way. I happen to make more than my girlfriend, and do way more chores than she does around the house. But it's something that we have acknowledged and worked out, and agreed to certain terms on. If you didn't do that, you've earned whatever fate comes your way. Just my opinion

You answered your own question. I don't think most anti-feminists are actually trying to say they are against equality or anything, rather they are against the radicalism you tend to see on the internet. And can you blame them? Also, why feminism and not humanism?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
