I actually remember my brother paraphrasing my dad's take on things like that. more or less "we didn't really think about it after it left the news, we were too busy living. some got involved, others didn't." I remember wondering if I'd want to get involved.

Your situation is about as real as it gets for how you just can't control everything your kid sees, hears, learns, and unfortunately, agrees with. Kids absorb everything and choose to ignore most of it. Real worrying should start when they're more concerned than you are. Doomsday talk scares kids quite a bit.

I can't downvote because I'm not subscribed. Otherwise, I'd try to help this community and downvote this. I've read some actual PPD and some posts like this and I agree with conandy. This isn't the spirit of the sub and just plain hating on women, or men, is why this sub was created in the first place. Call out double-standards, don't fall into them.
