Enjoy managing a team of 30 as they all complain to you, making spreadsheets of complicated equations where one small error means millions of dollars and losing your job, having the people skills to never lose your temper ever, and having to do dozens of meetings a week where tons of money is on the line and the wrong decision means your job.

That’s why there’s a market and market salaries. You ever wonder why there are tons of social workers and not many high-level corporate executives? Cus the latter is more difficult to be good at. It takes experience lower on the ladder and tons of skill.

Usually because they’re less skilled. There’s a reason psychiatry with a PhD pays more than social work, which only requires a bachelors. It’s not just about hours, it’s about skill of labor. Much harder to work 60 hours as a corporate executive than 60 hours as a social worker.

The women in the workplace problems really bother me. It's illegal to discriminate against women in the workplace. At this point, most perceived discrimination is women choosing to go into lower paying fields. Women graduate college at a higher rate than men, but make up the vast majority of graduates with majors in lower paying fields.
