Yes, the english language does that sometimes, because people play loose with it. If I wanted to comment on the article and impart the meaning of "this equality is bad because it's bad for women," I could say the comment and mean what I wanted to mean. I could also mean the logically correct meaning. We don't know if this person spent that long caring about a stupid fucking comment on the internet, so it's 100% possible that they meant either way. I'm going to stop talking about this.

Wat. I said I AGREED that "equality but only good for woman equality" isn't equality. If you read what I said, I've been saying this person may have the same view as the crazies. lot of equality, but not the good type You believe something about what the "good type" is so you're inserting that meaning into that statement. It could also mean "there is equality happening but it's not good equality because it's forcing women into the draft," so it's possible they are not saying the draft is horsesh…

I know that's not equality. There are people that disagree. I don't care what you think about the draft. This person could easily believe the draft is horseshit, or, like the people examples I've linked, be sexist. We don't know, and that's not a stretch at all, thanks.

They could be saying that, or they could be saying "equality is only good when it's good for women." It's not clear what they meant, and you're seeing it in the nicer way because it's what you believe. (Probably.)

They're taking it as a comment on women being forced to serve, at all. We don't really know what the commenter meant, because it can be taken both ways depending on what you're looking for. The same comments are made all the time (on Jezebel, even) towards US attempts to enact equal service laws, so it's easy to interpret as being against that part.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
