My wife and I both identify with feminist theory (obviously in the way that most understand it, equality for genders), but when I bring up a male perspective she finds it refreshing. 1	If we measured the rights of men and women by looking only at incarceration rates and work related deaths, nobody would doubt we live in a matriarchal society. If you can't show that women face discrimination or disadvantage based on their gender in your area of interest then you aren't equivocating or manipulating reality hard enough. Yikes and just no. I mean, the only rationale I could see behind this is "only when someone is deliberately trying to subvert expectations or point out how it is a problem."
