Since you said you have no friends who are like that and im still not sure what bro culture is. I'm assuming you mean that straight men have less of a problem having a known gay man as a leader of a group they are part of, if and only if it is also known that the gay man 'tops' in ALL sexual interactions...otherwise the bros are gonna have a hard time being part of the group or being lead by the gay man... Is a straight man who gets pegged ranked similarly as a gay man who bottoms?

is it more the fault of the regular straight men?, is it some sort of rejection reaction from gay 'bottom' men?, is it a 'lack of shared hobbies' thing? I'm still interested in the 'heterosexual male hierarchies' point. how does this hierarchy play out for regular straight dudes and how have you observed gay men in interaction within these groups? Its interesting to think where a gay dude would place in a group that practices a heterosexual male hierarchy... would they even have an equal opportu…

This is an interesting and different take. I think I know what you mean but could you expand a bit on what you mean. 'straight dude friendships' if we can call them that, do have a dynamic that does go beyond the aesthetics of the shared activities and the bro-jousting...

This right here. People know what makes friendships and community happen, this is a studied phenomenon of the human experience. But when gay men and straight women seem to get along, people want to use some yet undiscovered biological factor (appeals to biological feminine/masculine sensability) or suggest some arguement that ironically leans way too hard into heterosexist essentialist understandings of gender relations (men just wanna get into your pants), or they reach for reasons that make it…

Ive been here for less that 2 hours and I'm picking up that the general message of this group is that redpilled men don't actually have an 'easier time' with women and that blackpilled/redpilled men put women off...because women want that emotional connection and safety aspect. The implication is kinda present that being redpilled definitely makes it much harder to get into relationships with straight women as a straight man. And OP is saying that actually, it's men who not only don't give a shi…

This topic doesnt really involve me but ......... I understand the alcoholism/addiction metaphor is an extreme example for the purpose of making the point but...it kinda makes it sound like if a man does show emotion then he better have a plan to somehow address those emotions, which isnt too far from the 'men dont cry' perspective about masculinity, or the more liberal 'men can cry, but not without a plan to stop crying' I think the question is more about men just being human beings and just sh…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
