"The justification of equality discrimination legislation hinges on this principle that employers are too stupid to choose the right people to employ, and that they have to be told, that there is this great number of hidden talent out there, which their prejudices are denying them. I dont think thats the case." this hit the nail on the head. The whole idea of positive discrimination is based on the assumption that professionals in literally every field that uses merit based methods of determinin…

why are you calling me a troll? I am a strong supporter of Men's Rights, but the article is poorly thought out and clearly illogical. Supporting anything anti-feminist regardless of the quality and reasoning only hurts the efforts of well-thought out, well intentioned efforts of the men's rights movements.

A close friend of mine is the son of a college wrestling coach. He has experienced firsthand the ridiculous implications of title IX. The university has a way stronger need to spend money on male sports than female ones, but cannot. The result is that random money is just thrown at female sports for no reason but to allow the school to spend more money on male sports without breaking the law. Every member of the school's field hockey team is just bought a free plasma screen tv for no reason othe…

While I disagree that masculine ideals caused this shooting, I'm not sure the assertion of a double standard through the analogy between rape victims and this shooting makes sense. Blaming men for this event is not the same as putting some responsibility on rape victims who put themselves in dangerous situations because men were not the victims of the shooting. If they blamed the people who got shot, the analogy would make sense, but that is not the case.

That is very difficult to follow, and the author of that comment is clearly not very good at writing in an effective, coherent way. Why did you post this is mensrights?

If all that matters is what is best for the child, then rather than force men to take on an unwanted 18-26 year financial responsibility so that the baby can be raised in a broken home, wouldn't the BEST thing for the child be to put the infant up for adoption so that it can be raised by a complete and financially stable family? I simply do not buy that argument. This is not the best thing for the child; it is the best thing for the woman.

I think that if women were no longer given the right to impose legal and financial responsibilities for unwanted children upon men, word would spread pretty fast.

I thought I had been clear, in the original post, but I was only suggesting a man be able to absolve his rights for non-consented children, and the man should only have one chance to do so. (first sentence referred to unwanted conception) edit: I was only advocating that both parents should be able to legally absolve themselves from legal responsibility for a child rather than one parent having the right to force the liability onto the other.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
