I appologise, I can't get into the study without hitting a paywall. Since the difference isn't huge, it makes me wonder if there are more men at the college. More men, asking out less women, would account for a slightly higher rate of women being sexually active. Just a thought. I can't see the data, so I'm not sure. I'm older and all the kids I work with are more likely to be virgins, both male and female. There are also a ton of women in college now who are virgins and embarrassed about it. There are a good deal of internet articles popping up that discuss what to do as a virgin woman in your 20s and 30s. It seems far higher a percentage than when I was a kid.
