Yes, I look at each situation individually, but solely because that way problems do receive due weight. Also minor issue? Alcoholism ruined my family, but I guess it's given me the ability to thoroughly weigh the issues that exist in this world, both personal and impersonal.

I'm just addressing the "not a big deal" part. It has a negative connotation, because the problem is significant, no matter how small the numbers are. I'm not going to claim to solve anything, but when you club the issue with alcoholism and and addiction I'm pretty sure it's a big deal, thereby contradicting yourself.

Thanks for reading and responding. I get what you're saying, but unlike on a test paper or quiz scenario, specifically where you're short on time and you might resort to leave some answers blank in favour of questions carrying more points, you can't decide (?) which problems may be resolved at a later date, because by then it may be too late. You say people are being starved to death by an evil regime, and I could ask if that makes it okay for potentially millions of children to face greater har…

Every issue must be given its due effort in order to resolve them (and I mean 💯%).
