Apology accepted. I was too brazen and flippant. I apologize.

Ooooook. Please enlighten us about what you think is a better comparison. Don't pluck a flower without smelling it first? Sicko.

I feel for online only dating prospecting. It is very easy to be flippant or choosy. It's no different than how we tend to be with news headlines. We hardly read the article.

Yeah, that is how one part of it works. 👏

9 to a 4? I'd be shocked at anyone who could pull that off.....isn't lighting and photography a part of it too? Edit: About your question, you know the answer. Double standards, or maybe cultural norm?

I wonder, too. I assume a high maintenance person expects their other to be as well.

Takes the time to make a list of demands, not once saying what she brings besides a kid......okay, boring lady. Sounds like a real catch.

This is soooooo weird to me. Ask me qualities in men, number one thing: he makes me laugh. Witcher dude face? Honestly, I'd rather he was my neighbour than my other. No offence to hot chissy faced men.

I don't think men have it easier. We created and now exist in a patriarchal society, (in North America plus other places). That mentality puts unnecessary pressure on men. But I do not think either gender has it easier. Most of that rhetoric is anecdotal. However; it's difficult on people who are expected to fulfill those cultural roles. Sounds stressful.

That feels true for some people I know. One friend likes sporty type men but finds it hard to meet anyone because she doesn't drink, (allergic to alcohol). Then there's an annoying family member who meet's lots of men but they never stick around. She's been single since 2004 (2 week relationships don't count). To this day she blames men: "too immature, not ready to settle, they only want a stupid, younger woman who will cater to them", etc. Think about that.....so many dates. Not one guy wanted …

This is a good thought exercise. It obviously reveals more about the person who responds than the person they find fulfills the set parameters.

I could care less about that. I think it's weird that someone would care 🤔😳😟

For me it's guys who have what I'd consider bad taste in music. I asked my husband what his would be, he said; "If she showed up wearing overt high-end brands, say, a Chanel purse, then no way". Although I call bs. He's assuming she's the one who is shallow. What if she is just really successful and......nm. Pretty sure he'd still say no.

I'd say women who are not conventionally attractive do know what it's like. Pretty sure they get ignored by and large, some are probably overlooked for work promotions, etc. And being the less attractive one in any group would suck and probably contributes to low self worth and incessant negative thoughts.

Sometimes.....people date someone unconventional looking because that particular person stands out fiercely in other ways that are very much appealing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
