Men's weakness is our facade of strength. Women's strength is their facade of weakness.

We need someone to blame for all the problems that exist in the world. The reason so many people misunderstand so many issues is not that these issues are so complex, but that people do not want a factual or analytical explanation that leaves them emotionally unsatisfied. They want villains to hate and heroes to cheer—and they don't want explanations that fail to give them that. - Thomas Sowell

If you mean men occupy the top rungs of society then yeah we do. But we also occupy the bottom rungs of society. This happens in part because a man is only valued for what utility he offers to society, women, and children. So he is essentially tossed in a gauntlet to climb to the top otherwise he'll be socially isolated at the bottom of society. Women have the benefit of being deferred to and given preferential treatment in most social situations. Do men? - only if they are high status men.

Its both men and women walking away. Men walk away from the traditional role of being a provider and the consequence of this is they make less money because they prioritize comfort and happiness over money. This leads to men overall being less "marriageable". Im in this category; I have my own small business but i've chosen to limit my work so i can pursue hobbies that make me happy

Responsibility of neither comes from the fact that in many legal and social situations that involve both genders, the man is deemed more responsible than the woman and therefore judgement or sentencing falls unequally among them both. Ex. Man and woman gets drunk and have sex - the man is a rapist while the woman is a rape victim.

Its disgusting to see that women cheating is so common and socially accepted that she can have an open convo with her friends about it as if its not such a big deal. I feel sorry for the guy who told him also. His girlfriend is probably similar to OP's girlfriend.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
