I have no involvement in the moderation of this sub, I'm not even subscribed to it, and I can count on one hand the number of comments that I've made in this sub over the past year. Your string of comments over the past few hours are just based on the fact that you're just upset at the current US political climate, and decided to go pick fights online with random people, because it gives you a cathartic feeling of righteousness in an area where you otherwise have no control.

This doesn't directly relate to men's rights, but a big theme of this sub is parental rights, and I thought you guys might like to see a story that's both uplifting and heartbreaking, about someone who is an exemplary model of a man who strives to make the world a better place through his role as a foster parent.

The video is from Texas, and I live in a likewise religious state (Alabama). In my experience, there tends to be a sort of unofficial free pass for optional, extracurricular events that nobody is obligated to attend. I remember a screenshot posted here awhile back, of someone explicitly ranting about how the very concept of a "fact" is a tool that the patriarchy uses to oppress women and minorities. They weren't even talking about, say, misleading statistics that lead to errant conclusions, or something understandable like that. They were literally saying that empirical statements which are verifiably-accurate descriptions of reality are a trick of the patriarchy.

I figure this comes down to us reading excerpts instead of the complete logs. Like I said, I can't imagine any chat log of any significant length that would leave that distinction ambiguous. The fact that his lawyers are championing it as exonerating evidence would incline me to believe that that's what it is. I can't say that with certainty, though, because I haven't read them.

I haven't read them, but I believe the chat logs were basically, "Hey, let's all say he raped us. That'll show him!" I can't imagine chat logs of any length that would be ambiguous on that front.

I agree with everything but the last part. If I noticed compelling, clear evidence that my neighbor was cheating on his/her significant other while they were gone on vacation, I would sent a (probably anonymous) email to the cheatee. If one of you is too drunk to consent and the other isn't, it's rape, regardless of gender. Although, I would consider that waived if the drunk person is actively pursuing sexual relations with the sober person, rather than being "too drunk to say no." If both of you are too drunk to consent, but neither of you expressed resistance at the time, any morning-after regret by either party is just a life lesson on the devil in the bottle.

It's hilarious that they think the internet works that way; as though all websites are like businesses, each with a business license, all arranged in orderly government databases, all subject to approved content. According to the last figures I read, the internet is around 40% porn, nearly all of it based outside of the UK. Good luck enforcing that new law.

Looking at your comment history, about a quarter of your remarks are telling people to "fuck off" on gender issues. Do you have any actual ideas or arguments to contribute to discussions, or is that all you do, telling people to fuck off? Just throwing this out there: I'm quite a devout Christian, and have no problem whatsoever with anyone because of their gender, sexual orientation, race, or anything else. I may be reading too much into your "the religious are a minority here" remark, but please don't think poorly of us because of the actions and words of a few.
