Isn’t this kind of similar how a man can say “in general, women don’t perform as well in x” and some people interpret that as “I hate all women and no woman ever can be good at x”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/18 04:49 PM
1

It’s definitely not like that here. Of course there are some of them, but there are interesting ones too
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/18 02:32 PM
2

If you’re a high T male, I mean it’s not a problem, you can bang lots of things. Each is their own little interesting thing. They’re not gold but I mean silver and bronze are nice too
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/18 06:00 AM
3

Yeah I’d be really tripped out by that. How did she become invisible? Was it by her own choice? Was it after they met? What a torturous world she must inhabit! How come he alone can see her? Man I would have so many questions for these people
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/18 05:54 AM
1

Yeah I commented here trying to find a counterargument (that I somewhat agree with) What I came up with was TRP is growing due to influx of men who want to gripe/commiserate rather than self improve It’s not a bad faith argument, I mean I do sorta believe that. I’m RP-ish but I’ve never liked TRP the subreddit, too much anger phase and incel there for me
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/18 05:51 AM
3

Yes, the Overton window is roughly what I was basing this on. It’s been a while since I read about this concept but it’s sorta just how I think intuitively now
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/18 02:16 AM
6

Ok but OP also opines on the motives for TRP’s growth. I think a lot of the new people at TRP aren’t necessarily there for self improvement, I believe a lot of the new people are just there to gripe and commiserate
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 09:55 PM
9

What I predict is that mainstream culture will appropriate the good out of RP just enough to ensure its own dominance meanwhile places like TRP will becone echo chambers that become more extreme, which will keep them on the fringe This is just speculation tho
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 09:53 PM
11

Well OP seems to think that men want a place to learn about how to better interact with women, where i see more growth is men want a place to bitch about women
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 09:48 PM
7

Psh no, TRP is growing bc incels and other sexually frustrated men need a place to congregate and TRP apparently attracts them pretty well
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 09:33 PM
3

How can people possibly counter this “Oh no, trp only exists bc men are evil and they need a place to hate in women” Actually i have one I’ll post it under the main thread
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 09:32 PM

I mean isn’t getting physical activity just like a basic requirement for a normal healthy person? I would never date someone who was completely sedentary, I don’t think that makes me shallow or overly concerned with appearances.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 04:49 PM

You seemed surprised that someone was debating you
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 04:22 PM
3

This is a debate subreddit, you should expect that people will debate you
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/18 03:59 PM

I would probably be down to do it, but I would be less down to do it though if she either (1) presented it as an ultimatum or (2) actually told me she was trying to measure the mileage
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/18 10:44 PM
1

Yeh, i think that’s what we see of with a lot of allegedly sex positive people, they basically just have some rationalization about why THIS PARTICULAR CASE is awful, and they just so happen to have another rationalization with each case they see
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/18 09:55 PM
0

Yeah I agree with that but I mean isn’t “between consenting adults” the typical line there? Humans are great rationalizing machines, it isn’t hard to say “oh yeah I’m sex pos just not in this case” and then just so happen to extend that to every case ever encountered
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/18 09:18 PM
2

It seems inconsistent
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/18 08:59 PM
1

Can you be sex positive and still judge/shame others for who they have sex with?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/18 08:16 PM

What do you mean
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/18 06:02 AM
2

I care, I just don’t care enough that I want to suffer the reputational loss accompanying being a dude who sued his ex
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/18 09:10 PM
3

why
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/18 09:09 PM
3

What do you mean? If I could freely and without consequence get my shit back I would do it. But there are costs to doing that, in my estimation the costs aren’t worth it. That doesn’t make me whole
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/18 06:05 PM
1

How do you even run day game anyways, unless you're unemployed? Like if you have some shitty shift work job or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/18 04:17 PM
3

Yeah I know, it probably isn’t worth my time, I also, I’m not the kind of person who would sue his ex over something minor like this. It feels petty. If it were something major I might, for me I made a decision to cut my losses and walk away
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/18 04:13 PM
7

I don’t trust our local PD, I would rather take a small loss than deal with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/18 03:55 PM
8

Why would I do that, that is a lose-lose
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/18 03:44 PM

My ex stole or destroyed hundreds of dollars worth of my personal property in our recent breakup. Nobody cares

I don’t believe you can even gauge someone’s personality over text, basically I just use the app to arrange a meetup and that’s it

I’ve dated women that can make children 100% obedient, I’m from that sort of family too, lots of teachers and child carers. I’m good at it myself. I don’t make excuses for people whose children run around like little devils

lol let’s assign it minimum wage bc that’s what it would cost on the market Inb4 anyone claims the average woman does better housework than my hired housekeeper Or that housekeeping takes more than a couple hours a week, again, that’s what my house keeper does it in

Had an actual debate in real life today about OLD vs meeting girls in person The guy was 36 and had a cute 25 year old that he was dating, but he insisted that he never really met anyone he liked on dating apps, they were all sorta girls he didn’t like It was such a trip to me! I’m the opposite, I can get okay girls IRL but I kill it on dating apps. I’ve seen this here on PPD but I’ve never seen a guy irl who can actually get hot girls say he didn’t like dating apps
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 11:16 PM
2

idk in my experience they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 01:44 AM
1

Yeah you’re right, I guess okay. But it takes time to find that. Lots of guys won’t even believe that sort of lifestyle is even possible. Maybe for a lot of guys it isn’t? Maybe they’ve tried and can’t get plates For them a relationship can seem like a good deal
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 01:35 AM
8

Literally what other purpose is there for it?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 01:25 AM
4

People in the professions definitely still care about it. Old conservative people with power
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 01:25 AM
1

Yeah that’s true. It isn’t the same, any girl gets old eventually. Look whatever side, there’s trade offs that you have to make. It’s not as easy to get random plates or fwb just to come over whenever you want as you would with a committed girl, but also you have to pay the price that she will want to come over whoever. So a serious girlfriend gives availability in a way that plates really don’t. But she’ll also demand more for it
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 01:14 AM
3

Well okay but for Brad Pitt the the options outside the marriage are great and exciting and numerous, for a lot of average dudes, maybe they find a good enough girl for consistent sex and just try to keep fit and keep her attracted, for those guys that’s a great strategy
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 01:07 AM
2

I dunno I think if you keep fit and attractive to other women mostly it isn’t super hard to keep the sex going for years. Obviously it’s not gonna be that same, “we just met let’s bang” spark tho
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 12:55 AM
2

For “most” but I mean if you keep RP truths in mind about attraction , most people doing that will probably still have consistent sex
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 12:46 AM

Codependency: depending on another person to make you happy Interdependence: being able to be happy on your own, having a great life solo, and choosing to share that with another Can you see the difference?

https://g.co/kgs/TvwVnx Reconnecting with some of this positivity, feels good man
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 12:03 AM

Ok but now you’re not talking about someone in the top 20% of general intellect. All those lawyers were likely in the top 20% of general intellect, or thereabout
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 09:47 PM
2

I don’t think general intellect is really that easy to spot. With the runner, you’re talking about someone who is truly exceptional. The guy who got a 88th percentile and the guy who got a 74th percentile on their SAT, I mean those are like the same guy on a good day and a bad day. Your runner is a top .1% competing against people in the top 20-30% of runners
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 09:18 PM
1

I mean with a lot of guys if she just fucks him, he’ll keep hanging around and eventually commit tho right? Like I realize she can’t rely on that but it’s gotta work a good chunk of the time
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 09:10 PM
4

Yes, you’ve found another article using strange population groupings and unusual definitions of “Work” to make the numbers fit the desired conclusion
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 09:04 PM
2

Do you really think so? I’ve lived and live in a lot of worlds, and worked with people of very different capacities, and I mean I can maybe do a rough quintile assessment of someone but it’s always give or take, and in the context of an established relationship I feel like many people continue to surprise me as I get to know them better Maybe I’m just more flexible about it than you tho
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 09:02 PM
2

Oh so they found one narrowly defined sub population in which it applied? I mean that’s really not the claim made above
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 08:54 PM
4

Nothing in the article supports the proposition that women outearn men, what the article says is that the gap is narrower than it used to be
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 08:45 PM
3

Honestly I’ve always done on the extreme far end of all those tests but even I have my dumb moments. I don’t think that just interacting with me you’d really distinguish me as being distinctly 65th percentile or distinctly 99th. Like you’re basically saying that a 115 IQ woman is intolerably dumb? How do you even know?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 08:43 PM
9

“Millennial women earn less than men” are literally the first six words of the article
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 08:37 PM
4

I mean are you even going to know if she’s “only” top 25% intelligence rather than your preferred 20%
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 08:35 PM
3

Yeah I mean in my experience it’s more like only the very bottom as far as intellect who are so awful that they’re undateable. For me, with most traits, there’s a big happy middle comprising most people where I could be a-ok with dating them Also yeah I know about your preference for fat women you’ve posted it like 100 times in this past week
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 08:34 PM
7

Do you have stats on the money? That doesn’t sound right to me, in my world men are definitely outearning women College degree isn’t the most useful stat. For various reasons—how many of those degrees are not economically viable for instance, compared to dudes who went into the trades and are thriving
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 08:15 PM
3

I think you’re way too picky on all those traits Look, have you ever seen a woman you date get sucked into your worldview, like she starts wanting to be more like you. So she goes and finishes school. She doesn’t care about religion as much. She maybe picks up one of your hobbies. I don’t see what the issue is, like as long as she’s not dumb as rocks, or a serious religious person (super rare), who cares if she has some marginal flaw in those places? Ime with a lot of these sort of traits if you…

6

How do you explain the fact that men are generally much more driven than women
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 07:54 PM
3

Let’s see if I follow you here: it sounds like you’re saying that If sex dolls advanced to the point where they were indistinguishable from a person, you believe that women would still not use a sex doll bc that’s not the sort of stimulation that they want Is that right?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 07:53 PM
11

Maybe you’re just a worthless layabout and these men are giving you an honest assessment
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 03:24 AM

I had this sort of relationship for a few years , it was a great deal ama
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/18 12:16 AM

Ok I agree that happens I’m talking about “most guys I hear say this” though. I fully agree that there are some hot dudes who bang fatties on tinder.

BMI is a population measure, it is a rough tool. It isn’t the be all end all of health measurement for all humanity Google “BMI 23 Asian” for example. For Asians, some of the health screening that would be done in a white population at 25 are actually done at 23. Why? Because Asians start displaying some of the bad health effects of being overweight at BMI 23. Another outlier group would be people with very little muscle tone. As they don’t have much muscle, it is likely that what is increasing …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 03:14 PM
1

What do you mean
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 02:38 PM
1

How is it not If someone has a slim build and little muscle tone, BMI 23 is likely them being skinny fat If someone has a normal build and good muscle tone, BMI 23 is likely fit
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 02:35 PM
2

I don’t understand, I am saying that a skinny person (slim build and little muscle tone) will look fat at 23 BMI It looks like you’re agreeing with me
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 02:33 PM
1

You’re a man, you’re an outlier, you’ve probably also got considerable muscle mass (which is small and dense), you’re probably also surrounded by fat people who’s body image has been distorted by the normalization of obesity
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:58 PM
2

Skinny fat
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:55 PM
2

I don’t have a pic that I can show. Honestly like I said it’s going to depend on body composition, people generally don’t understand how small and heavy muscle is and how big and full fat is Fit or moderately active BMI 23 woman will look normal and probably be healthy, sedentary office drone who does nothing active will likely be pushing it, especially with a small frame
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 06:17 AM
2

Average BMI 23 woman looks either skinny fat if she’s sedentary or a little fat if she’s moderately active. Fit AF if active.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 06:06 AM
6

The point of that is looking at extremes BMI is a population level measure, it’s the middle If she’s super skinny and thin, 23 bmi is likely heavy for her, whereas if she’s super thick BMI 18.5 could be underweight for her, that’s all
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 06:05 AM
3

I mean, I’m fit, I lament it bc there are a bunch of cute girls who I could date but they’ve rendered themselves ineligible I’d love for the competition of everyone being more fit, and thus giving me more guys to compete with for more fit women, in part bc I know I’ll win the competition either way, and with hypergamy I’d be even better off
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 02:52 AM
2

Samesies bro
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:59 AM
2

LOL I’m not trolling, whatever The first pic is obviously photoshopped, imo we can all obviously see that and still comment on what that woman would look like without the photoshop Or maybe I am just really ultra elite at seeing photoshop and un-shopping it in my head, idk
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:54 AM
3

Bro, when you argue, try to give the benefit of the doubt. It’s obviously photoshopped, does that change anything I said about her body composition? I’ll quote: That is not “slim” that is what a normal human who isn’t fat looks like. She’s got considerable muscle definition Gtfoh with your gotcha bullshit
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:49 AM
2

What are you on about. I didn’t post that. I commented that she’s not super slim, she’s normal/fit, and she’s got considerable muscle definition
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:44 AM
2

LOL crickets from the bps
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:39 AM
1

That is not “slim” that is what a normal human who isn’t fat looks like. She’s got considerable muscle definition
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:38 AM
5

Average is a loaded word here because average is overweight.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:36 AM
6

Please I am a fucking gym rat and I’ve probably studied body composition more than 95% of people. It depends on the body composition, if she’s skinny and fat, 23 BMI is disgusting, if she’s thick, 23 BMI might be attractive. That said once you really start getting up into 25+, it’s pretty much all gross, that’s where fat people smell starts in, she can’t move as fluidly, poor posture, and all the little weird markers of poor health that subconsciously turn me off I’ll give you this, girls like t…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:33 AM
2

Agree, of all the guys I know that “like fat girls,” the vast majority of them don’t have a lot of options
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:26 AM
3

What do you mean by “average weight not slim,” like give us a BMI reference for what you mean by that
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:26 AM
14

Overweight or obese
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:25 AM
26

Because basically 2/3 of women have removed themselves from consideration, thus driving up the value of the remaining normal 1/3. Also it’s just sorta sad when you see a girl with a pretty face, and you’d like to get to know her better, but alas, she’s fat
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 01:14 AM
1

Oh let me clarify I mostly have RP views, learned before I ever found the RP sub, both as a result of my upbringing and my time in the dating/hookup scene. Despite these views I still think the TRP sub is a special kind of edgy space that I just don’t care for. Maybe they’re an ally but they’re really not a friend
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 08:39 PM
3

I found it via the bluepill sub, basically my impression of trp at the time was like “pickup plus weird incel women hating” Which to be fair to me isn’t super far off
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 07:27 PM
1

Hm I always thought the women on those sort of events did clear out when it’s over. Tbh i don’t really know tho
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 06:20 PM
2

Opposite, night and day still doing much much better in my mid 30s than early 20s
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 05:21 PM
2

Do men attend those events tho? I don’t really think of those things as singles events, I always thought of it more like a sewing circle, ie a female space
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 05:20 PM
1

People want to push themselves. People want to be proud of themselves. People want to feel the rush of adrenaline that comes from overcoming an obstacle. People want to do this in an enjoyable and easy flow state, they don’t want to feel like they’re constantly fighting an impossible battle
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 04:53 PM
2

lol right Everyone knew that the shitty small trophy was for losers I honestly don’t understand this metaphor
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 04:38 PM
0

I would say “do whatever you want, I don’t have specific advice for your dilemma just by virtue of being redpilled”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/18 10:41 PM
1

yeah i agree that guys like that can still do well. Still idk I can see how I had blind spots about my weight, so more generally i know other people do that as well
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/18 07:14 PM
1

A bit. I looked strong but lacked abdominal definition, if that helps give you an idea, not like a huge belly or anything tho
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/18 06:56 PM
1

I don’t think I did. I was 5’10” 185, I hadn’t weighed less than 155 since high school. But i was also much much stronger. I genuinely thought I would look emaciated at 145. I didn’t really have a great idea of how body composition worked
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/18 06:48 PM
1

Hm maybe. People have their delusions. I have a friend who’s pretty fat, his doctor told him to lose weight and he was seriously confused about it. Like it took him a week of processing it to come to terms with it, lol, and we already ripped on him for being fat long before that I’ve been through the same sort of thing myself, as a guy it’s easy to believe it’s mostly muscle, especially if you’re killing it in the gym and don’t really know how nutrition works.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/18 05:59 PM
3

Hmm I thought we were talking about situations where the guy is directly asking for advice Now that I think about it though I can’t imagine seriously asking a gir who rejected me for advice. And i guarantee that hint about clothes goes over the head of like 90% of guys, they will remember it as “get better clothes” not “you’re out of shape.”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/18 05:45 PM
2

I don’t need them to spell out why I’m not attractive lol. For me it matters if it’s something I can change. So like “bro you’re fat” would be helpful but “your face is just ugly” wouldn’t
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/18 05:17 PM
1

I don’t think it’s a “bad thing,” that would be your judgment. It’s not a good thing or a bad thing, it’s just a thing
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/18 09:00 PM

You’re the one who’s mistaken https://www.reddit.com/r/fatlogic/
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/18 07:11 PM

I think some of the stuff in OP qualifies, for example fat acceptance is a really stupid idea that will probably doom lots and lots of people to chronic illness
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/18 06:41 PM

I think it’s a sort of protective instinct like, if i see someone doing something really stupid, my instinct is to jump in and stop them before they hurt themselves

Can you please connect up the dots in your analogy a little more? Why do you see being lazy in sex and being lazy in general as similar? Can you give some examples of relationship starfishing?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 09:14 PM
1

Ok but a few crazy outliers don’t make a trend
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 09:03 PM
8

No I agree, I’m calling them out. It’s not shaming
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 08:39 PM
19

By “shaming” they mean, “declining to have a committed relationship with”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 08:27 PM
2

Nothing, it’ll get better in a week or two
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 05:45 PM
1

In my experience that stuff blows over pretty quickly
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 05:44 PM
0

I guess I’ve spent a lot of my life around the sorts of women who can shake that stuff off
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 05:43 PM
1

Yeah that makes sense, and I can relate, my mother, she used to do these shame routines with my sister where she’d cry and give this “why do you do this to me” speech, honesty after she did it once or twice it sorta lost its effect. We always knew it wasn’t backed up by anything and that it would blow over I catch your meaning though. I get that some people are more affected by stuff like that, not everyone just rolls their eyes at it like we learned too
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 05:34 PM
3

Hmm I sorta have mixed thoughts on this women don't want to date him because of that, nobody makes a big deal of it. If a woman is known to be the same, men who don't want to date her are justified and she is responsibilized for being the town bike. This wasn’t really what happened at my high school, the actual sluts owned it and they were proud. They had no problem finding guys, frankly they had the most adult dating dynamic of anybody. I could see how girls who were less certain about casual s…

5

I agree, young people might perceive that as a heavy penalty
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 05:04 PM
3

Yeah sure people get hurt sometimes, for me, so long as I feel I’ve reasonably accommodated them, at some point I’ve done my part and the rest is on them. It’s the same with them as it is with me, I get hurt sometimes too, but at a certain point it’s on me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 05:03 PM
5

Hardly a “heavy penalty”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 04:53 PM
4

Ok so what? At some point you’re not reasonably responsible for her emotions. For me so long as I haven’t led her on, I feel okay with washing my hands. Look, I hope it turns into a relationship too. When she turns out to have some problem that makes her not suitable for that, do I run around “feeling used” and rewriting the narrative of what we did have? No, I do my best appreciate our relationship for what it actually is while it’s going on and not get too caught up in what it could be. It’s n…

LOL Chadly 10 lays gtfoh
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 04:25 PM
1

The words in my GP post are from your definition
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 04:24 PM
9

So that’s the penalty? Some people will have opinions about it? Women may call her names and men may decline to date her seriously?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 04:23 PM
2

It’s your quoted definition lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 04:18 PM
0

What do they do to her
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 04:17 PM
3

But you are deliberately making it seem like you are interested in something exclusive/long-term by going on dates and having sex. I mean if she pushes the issue early on, can’t you say something like, “I like you so far, and I’d like to get to know you better, and i have no idea where this will go but let’s find out” To me that’s not leading her on, it’s explicitly expressing uncertainty
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 03:58 PM
6

Having casual is still heavily penalized by society if you're a woman. How? What specifically do people do to penalize her? Who specifically penalizes her?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 03:53 PM
1

Hm interesting point
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 02:33 PM
2

Living by predation? Adapted to predation? That’s what I just said The other definition too. Inclined to take from others for personal gain? Same
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 02:30 PM
0

Yeah with my ex , it was sort of a problem that we constantly ran into girls who I’d “dated” before. Really, she didn’t care when we were together, she thought it was hot and she thought it was funny then. After the breakup though, her narrative was completely different
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 04:45 AM
6

Probably a lie that she counted that long tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 11:37 PM
2

Hmmm okay I see where his is going. Yeah, peoples pool from which they draw the “average” is not going to be a full national or a global population, it’s their own environment
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 11:32 PM
1

Hey, i got a standing desk recently too! It’s pretty neat. Anyway yeah like I said I feel your pain, if I’m not in the gym on a given day to earn some extra calories honestly it feels like I’m eating very little. Like today all I’ve eaten is 1 lb strawberries and 1 lb chicken breast because I have a social event tonight and I’d like to eat some normal food there. 630 calories.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 10:17 PM
3

Hmm yeah you got me on “common.” I think we’re lookibg for “middle of the road” here
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 10:10 PM
1

I feel your pain but it’s bc we are sedentary. When we actually do tough physical activity for even a couple hours a day, our caloric requirements get up to a level where it feels about right to eat that much. Anyway 1300 is really low for maintenance, are you like 4’10 or something
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 10:03 PM
7

I think in this context people intend median. Typical. Middle of the road. Common. Neither extreme.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 09:24 PM
2

Fruit and veggies fill you up and don’t have many calories. They can be expensive tho. Try strawberries and blueberries, like a pound of strawberries is 150 calories. lots of fiber too. Hard to overeat on that. Why are you eating 5 chicken breasts in a day anyway, that is a terrible macronutrient balance, protein is great but you need a balance of fat and carbs ya know To answer your question I maintain at 2250 but if I’m working physically all day that might be like 6000
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 09:11 PM
18

You are wrong, by definition, average can mean either median, mean, or mode In this sort of discussion people usually intend “median”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 09:06 PM
1

Body shape looks pretty typical for a not fat white girl
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 08:12 PM
6

LOL by what age Double digit n count by your 30s isn’t really difficult
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 08:09 PM
1

I mean I have been on both sides of this. If I’m sedentary it feels natural to eat too much, when I’m working all day, absent refined carbs it’s very difficult to even eat at maintenance Look at the end of the day we know what people’s caloric needs are, we can just weigh and track our food and be done with it. There’s no need to even bring the emotionality of how it “feels” into it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 08:02 PM
3

Europeans are only marginally better on obesity than Americans. Problem for all westerners is the same, too much food and too little physical activity, sedentary lifestyle is not “natural”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 07:45 PM
1

Yeah maybe so
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 07:42 PM
4

Is it really? I thought that total population was like 1/3 healthy, overweight, obese, so i figured that it must be significantly better in younger people in less obese parts of the country (ie cutting out old people and Midwest/southerners)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 07:39 PM
2

How are we not
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 07:22 PM
7

When I read it the top post was a joke, the 1-10 chart was 2nd from the top and the poster said 4-6 are average, seemed accurate to me The next post was an average looking girl who was a little overweight, and cute but not beautiful and not ugly So yeah seemed alright to me
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 07:19 PM

This may be controversial for some people but the human male doesn't even look impressive without steroids or other substances, no matter how much he trains So what you are saying is you like bodybuilders. You’re wrong here, I take part in a sport which requires a slim/strong physique, but even in this, all the top guys use PEDs and steroids. There’s no way even gifted people could match them naturally
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 05:52 PM
20

That’s an overall average of the entire population and it includes fat baby boomers, most young people aren’t that fat
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 05:44 PM

Did we even see the same thread? The posts at the top were average women

Liberal feminism is funny; a Liberal feminist would be okay with any sick sexual act, any prostitution, any form of pornography or any way someone wants to organize their family - with the caveat - as long as the women are doing it by their choice and it is not being enforced by someone in power. I find this interesting, because what most women find appealing about men is precisely that those men are more powerful than them, they choose to grapple with a power imbalance where they fully understa…

Let’s draw out what is distinctly male vs female Predatory. For me this one is clearly gendered. Men are predators. We evolved to hunt and kill. We are warriors and fighters and doers. We act, and take what we can more or less directly. Women’s style of advancing their self interest is a lot of things but it isn’t really predatory. Opportunistic. Both sexes are opportunistic as defined. This is merely indicating that they have self interest and they advance it. Inherently human. You’ll see the m…

Men evolved to be evil, women evolved to be nice pretty kind and sweet things. Eh, I see it more like men evolved to be hunters and warriors and women evolved to be softer caretakers. This really doesn’t speak to the fact that both have self interest and both work in their own ways to advance it. And you’re the one giving it a moral flavor and characterizing it as evil vs sweet
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 04:12 PM
1

Honestly I don’t even remember exactly what I said, I’m pretty sure I just had some snide remarks or jokes, it wasn’t a big scene or anything, what I remember most about it is that internally I was super resistant to seeing that portrayal of bluepill type ideas
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 03:43 PM
1

Yeah I don’t look at it like that anymore, I’m referring back to when I first encountered the term “incel” I still do think there’s something to that 6 month mark though, personally I did start to notice some weird changes to my mental state around that point. Like to where some friends saw it too, and helped me get my life back together. I’m so grateful for that, I know not everybody has someone to help them out like that
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 02:30 PM
1

Yeah it’s flexible, it could mean that too however likely not in this context
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 02:26 PM

Are you American? To “lose it,” or “to lose your shit,” is a colloquial expression, it just means to go off, to become reactive, to lose composure
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 02:01 PM
1

Ok, where do you draw the line I mean to me 6 months is a super long time to go without sex, I had a 6 month dry spell once and it was hell, around that point i was starting to act pretty weird, I’m lucky I had good friends looking out for me at that point, honestly to me that seems like a fair cutoff and not as Crazy as you’re making it sound
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 01:56 PM

Uh how long do they have to be celibate for That ain’t part of the definition of celibate, is it? According to these people, it was 6 mo
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 04:35 AM
1

Why? Because you say so? I’ve seen it as the prevailing definition in some discussions I’m not just making this shit up
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/18 02:57 AM
2

Agree. Although it depends what you call incel. I’ve seen some definitions like “6 months without sex,” I would bet lots of normal guys are incel at some point using that definition
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/18 11:51 PM
2

lol no, when I was a newbie to pickup (I didn’t encounter this material via TRP) I was super gung ho about it, I couldn’t see any subtlety or any of the finer points where maybe it didn’t apply, basically every blue pill message that I saw just triggered me and I got super heated about it. I remember this gir I was seeing at the time cornered me into watching some rom com movie and holy shit, i lost it. In retrospect that was pretty funny

Hm, interesting. Food for thought.

It would help to know that sort of reasoning went into this, so yeah that sort of explanation would make it clearer. Look full disclosure part of this is just that I’m not that bright and I do have to work a bit to understand your ideas. Make it easier for me! One of the things that stands out to me is that you argue against “lower genetic quality,” but if that is what gets selected for in that type environment, how can you say it’s lower quality? Obviously in a particular environment, that IS h…

This op is wild speculation. You need to make your premises clearer and then logically proceed from there. As it reads it’s currently too much conclusion and too little explanation

can't stand being around positive people (they crumble easily if they don't have the positive vibes and This is definitely not the case for all positive people, some people have forged a positive attitude out of terrible pain and suffering, they know how to cope

A couple months back I was in crisis mode. But time heals and all that. Gotta get on with my life
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 11:12 PM

Like an 8-9. I recently had a tough breakup but other than that my life is ideal. I love my family. I love what I’ve accomplished up til now. I love where I’m going. Male, early 30s, single, reddish purple
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 11:09 PM

I mean if you take their claims at face value, how their constituents see them, they have grievances like equal pay for equal work unequal medical care access to education intersectionality / idpol Now I don’t want to debate the merits of these things, I’m just saying that as feminists view them these are genuine civil rights issues
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 10:14 PM
3

I mean certainly you don’t think that’s the entirety of feminism, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 08:52 PM

From my perspective it’s primarily an interest group advocating for its members interest
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 08:52 PM

I mean I think it is both, they both make a moral argument and advance their own interests
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 07:59 PM

I mean I work in a law firm right now and most of these guys that i work with have done labor at some point. I think it’s pretty common
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 07:43 PM
1

LOL yeah in my more cynical moments I’m just like “yeah this is just pure advancement of self interest,” but I don’t know if that’s really the whole story, I like to think it’s more complicated than that
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 07:06 PM
1

Yeah I’ve talked to my friends about this stuff. It’s ongoing, I don’t think I’ll ever have a complete understanding and consider it done
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 07:04 PM
1

I feel like I have a pretty good handle on it as far as these things go. I’m just looking for a casual sort of understanding
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 06:24 PM
1

When these people say casual sex doesn’t matter, their intent is more along the lines of the following: “you don’t yet know the bad sides of casual sex, you are romanticizing it, there is a bad side to it too. Consider that.”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 05:55 PM
2

Admittedly I come from a rural area so maybe it’s different here but I feel like almost every man I know has done physical labor for work at some point in his life
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 04:15 PM
9

LOL right? OP needs “how interest groups work 101”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 03:48 PM
1

lol do you even know me tho Like some of my friends irl are outspoken feminists, I really do care how they see things. The fact that they’re so passionate about it, it makes me say “huh, I wonder what’s going on there.”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 03:13 PM
1

For me it isn’t so much about getting their approval, it’s more like I just wish I understood where they are coming from better. Like just to understand their POV. Maybe that’s a lost cause tho
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 02:20 PM
2

Yeah I mean I’ve said this before but for me the allure of tinder is that it’s extremely easy , I don’t have to put up with a bunch of games or demands, the women just show up to meet me for a drink and they’re usually very compliant, I don’t have to deal with cockblocking friends or investing in a girl till the end of the night or weird social dramas
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 12:49 PM
0

Well I can’t relate to that, I’m average height and I’ve always been able to sorta hang with the top pack physically and to be at the front of the pack mentally in my own niche. I am a leader or at the least I’m among leaders
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 05:38 AM
8

that doesn’t make sense Top 20% is literally the top 1 in 5 No way that 1/5 of dudes are nearly models You have no idea what you’re talking about
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 04:06 AM
8

LOL yeah 1 in 5 guys is a model OK Seriously did you go to a high school Have you ever competed in anything Top 20% isn’t really amazing or outstanding at all, it just means you’re sorta above average
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 03:36 AM
3

How hard is it to be in the top 20% of people? Most people are shit
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 03:28 AM

“someone should fix this problem, but not me”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 03:27 AM

I honestly wish I could meet women organically anywhere near as easily as I do online Honestly it just seems like the women I meet online are so much more compliant, they make it super easy for me, like we just meet up, get a drink, go home, easy peasy. Whereas girls I meet in real life want me to jump through a million hoops
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 03:25 AM

Yeah they all say that My profile fucking says that lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 03:23 AM

Yup that’s definitely true
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/18 04:14 PM

I wouldn’t consider myself a PUA, but I definitely spent a couple years goin out 4-5 nights a week and trying to get laid. Going out that much I definitely made a few friends who ran in PUA circles, and friends who are dating coaches as a source of income It was a wild time in my life and I learned a lot from it. There were ups and downs, I made a lot of friends, sometimes I pushed some boundaries, sometimes I crossed them and made some mistakes. The personal growth I achieved by doing this made…

Yeah I hadn’t thought of creating that appearance selectively as a strategy. Really could be a good idea if you wanna remain unattached. You can always let them in later

Being in the “bang only” box means you have little else going for you in your life. High status men are extremely rarely in the “bang only” box bc they have a lot going for them and women generally want to be wives or mistresses or girlfriends with some sort of attachment to those guys. Cads on the other hand are broke ass dudes who get laid a lot. Women put these guys in the “bang only” box because while they’re good at sex they don’t have much else going on, women don’t want to be attached to …

Irrelevant. First off 99.999% of men don't have power/status in their community Do you remember what we are discussing here? You’re literally telling me that cads are high status. Okay so they’re worshipped by a bunch of low value chumps who can’t get laid? Who cares? The men with status and power think that cads are low value Look I’ll agree that this isn’t black and white and some guys in that position do still get some on the side, but they don’t approach it in a caddish way, they see that wh…

Some guys want to be that guy. They’re so much that guy that they occasionally also bang extremely hot women, by being at the right place at the right time and by having fun party guy personalities. They take the good with the bad and don’t judge it all that much. They are classic cads. I don’t know how else to describe it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/18 12:23 AM
1

Yeah I mean it’s just high SMV relative to RMV
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/18 12:21 AM
1

Do you have some sort of inability to see anything in the SMP besides a 0 and a 10, no shit this isn’t going to work for a 5’4 bald Indian, I said that a middle of the road guy can do this if he’s shameless. You are looking at the wrong signals, i have a question for you: do you spend much time in low end bar scenes, like extremely trashy dives? Based on what your image of a guy who has a ton of sex and gets fuckzoned is like, I’m going to guess that you don’t
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/18 12:06 AM
1

Goalposts. This has changed from guy who chases ass relentlessly and slums it but gets laid all the time, to guy who consistently fucks 7s and above, no shit you have to be attractive to consistently fuck 7s and above. Anyway I believe that guys who are always chasing like this slum it all the time, I know guys like this, they just always wanna bang whoever’s around and they’re shameless about it I don’t buy that looks are a form of status, now you’re just making words meaningless
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 11:47 PM
2

I would imagine ugly would make it hard, but an average looking guy could pull this off. Same with social acuity, I mean, middle of the road would be fine, I’m not saying a social retard could do it Y’all are imagining an apex type guy who is super awesome, I hate to break it to you, the sort of guys who go out banging all the time and get fuck zoned are losers
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 11:33 PM
3

Disagree My guess would be that low inhibition is required but the other things you listed are not. How attractive do you have to even be to slum it and bang the ugliest girls at closing time? More like you just need to be very horny and have a DGAF attitude n
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 11:07 PM
4

Ok what age men are you basing this on? 20-somethings? Okay yeah sure I’m sure they all think they do want that life Are you looking at grown men who actually have power and status in their communities? Edit— I’ll add that most men who were cads in youth and grew out of it, or men who could have gone that direction but chose to be more upstanding members of society and are happy with that decision, those types of men do not pine for that sort of life, and they don’t respect guys who live it
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 09:39 PM
2

Read that as “not so nerdy as to completely neglect hygiene”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 09:15 PM
2

If you don’t think there’s any downsides, why down you go chase that lifestyle down wholeheartedly for one year and then report back to us about it
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 08:49 PM
1

Yeah this is part of the imprecision of how we speak here—what’s the vast majority? 70% 80% 99%? What’s a few? 3? 5? 8? This sort of discussion leaves a lot of room for error
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 08:47 PM
1

Yeah I agree, he can develop those traits pretty easily over time. At least enough to get some kind of wife. He’ll never be like top tier “relationship material” but from his POV that’s probably fine
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 08:43 PM
2

Hm yeah maybe so Still tho I mean if he wants a wife and family , not being taken seriously for LTR is a problem
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:57 PM
1

Can you explain that a bit more? Do you mean on his part
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:40 PM

It’s only a problem if he always finds himself there, and he wants to have a wife and family. Typically the kind of guy who wants a wife and family though doesn’t find himself in this position, because that sort of guy cultivates the sort of traits that make him LTR-worthy Guy in the bang only box really doesn’t have those traits, he isn’t taken seriously I’ve known a couple guys who didn’t have problems getting laid but could never get relationships, occasionally I’ve heard them get frustrated …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:31 PM

“Cad” is an older term, sorta similar to a Chad, it’s like a low status guy who bangs a lot, sort of a sleazy dude
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:23 PM
0

No? These are consistent, the vast majority would be open to an LTR, and a few have bang zoned me
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:17 PM
5

Good bot
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:15 PM
8

How old are you? Do you spend time in proper society? The place where old men with wives and families make decisions that affect their communities? What do you think these men think of cads, do you honestly think these men respect cads? They don’t look at cads as omegas, so it’s not that sort of low status but they definitely look down on them
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:08 PM
5

It would get old fast, you aren’t seeing the downsides of it right now
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:06 PM
1

I mean if you bang a lot you’ll still get put in this box occasionally. I’ve had friends with benefits who didn’t want to actually date me, for whatever reason. Probably thought I was too weird
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 07:05 PM
7

Some guys like LTRs, some guys want kids, frankly it’s kind of a low status place to be, guys in the “bang only” box will generally have relatively low status among other men, not low status like an omega but low status like a cad
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 06:55 PM
3

Yeah that goes along with my experience as welll
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 06:53 PM
2

It would be interesting to know if this is the norm among people who do one night stands/casual sex
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 06:13 PM
2

Another thought — owning a house and renting a room to a friend is viewed very differently than co-renting with a friend
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 06:05 PM
1

I had a friend who just started taking uber everywhere, he says the total expenses are roughly the same as a car payment
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 06:02 PM
2

Yeah I agree women always like it when they find out I own my house. That said this is almost certainly more “beta provider” value than “alpha tingles” type value.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 06:01 PM

Guys with their lives together shouldn’t worry too much about being in the “bang only” box, it so rarely happens, honestly if you’ve got a decent job and some cool hobbies, know how to make friends with randos and how to interact with women, if you’re good enough to bang you’re pretty much always good enough to date The “bang only” box is mostly reserved for guys who are attractive but don’t satisfy her hypergamy
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/18 05:44 PM
3

Yeah I would agree that it favors her schedule and location, sure. That’s accurate
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 10:21 PM
3

She'll fuck him when she's horny, but never when he's horny. Not true at all, casual fling relationships often have a give and take. The best ones certainly aren’t this one sided
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 09:28 PM
2

I do well on tinder, I have more matches than I can realistically meet. I think it’s easier than meeting girls irl, and imo I meet roughly the same quality of girls there and irl
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 07:15 PM
5

You are missing the forest for the trees
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 07:10 PM
3

Can’t you just take a holistic view I’m not doing science here, I don’t expect that sort of precision, I’m just looking at what things point in a general direction
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:57 PM
5

What kind of evidence would you want? I don’t have a study of locally popular band members N vs guys who just chill at home and play the guitar alone every weekend if that’s what you’re asking
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:51 PM
8

Are you just being difficult here? Those people have status within their local scene, I don’t think anyone is claiming it goes beyond that
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:38 PM
1

Yeah I’m of a split mind on that. I really do believe that some girls in the casual sex game really are pretty wholesome, they’re good girls. It’s just that they’re only a tiny portion of girls in that life, like 5% or something ridiculous like that
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 07:08 AM
3

I think this is a good way to meet a good girl. Even if girls who bang on the first date only have substance like 5% of the time so what. Okay, so I have to bang 20 girls who are great lays to find one of substance? Okay fine so what.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:59 AM
6

Who cares if it’s HER nastiest sex? The nastiest sex of girl who waits 3 dates is still worse than the routine boring duty sex of the kind of freaks who love to bang on the first night
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:27 AM
7

LOL obviously I know, I’m playin around. Occasionally they’re very wholesome tho. Makes me wonder. You didn’t answer my question
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:17 AM
10

What does that have to do with whether they’re good in bed? Also I have no idea if they do it regularly, they always tell me I’m so different and they never do this 🤷🏽‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:10 AM
2

Woah woah woah I think you misinterpreted my comment I don’t try to steal dudes girls, what I said is that you can talk to a woman when you don’t know if she has a boyfriend, and in all likelihood it will be fine even if she does. Once you find out she has a boyfriend just be cool about it. Like use social skills to handle that situation tactfully. I’m not saying sarge all over dudes girls and expect not to get hit Jesus Christ
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:08 AM
10

What a stupid false choice The girls that bang first night are always way better in bed Lmfao you can’t be serious with this
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 06:01 AM
1

I would never discuss this explicitly with anyone in real life. I only discuss it here bc this is a forum for that purpose l I wouldn’t lead her on or anything tho. Like if it became clear that she wasn’t interested in me sexually I jus wouldn’t call back
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/18 12:13 AM
6

I’ve talked to at least a hundred girls with boyfriends and never been hit for it
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 03:11 PM
1

Yeah I mean for me 3 dates is a hard limit, honestly I feel like she’s sorta wasting my time to drag it out that long. I would have to really like her or not have much going on with other girls to even go the a full 3 dates
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 12:57 PM
1

I mean, it’s fine, nobody has to have sex right away if they don’t want to
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 12:55 PM
1

Isn't that why this is an important topic to discuss in-depth beforehand? Actions speak louder. It’s one thing to say you really love sex. But to actually pursue it, to actually do it, that says more.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 07:09 AM
1

The “why” doesn’t matter Girls who bang first night are in general better in bed Maybe she has good reasons to wait, idk. That’s sort of a different point from what I’m arguing here
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 07:06 AM
9

“I can’t just go talk to girls in a bar, that’s creepy.” “What if she has a boyfriend, I can’t go talk to her, he’d kill me”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 06:55 AM
21

Yea, I know two guys like that irl. One of them I tried helping and he shut it down, basically everything he said was a bunch of rationalizations for why he couldn’t take action. Basically to hear anything he said, it was all just excuses for why he couldn’t take any personal risks or put himself on the line to try and meet women After that I didn’t bother with trying to help anyone else
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 02:58 AM
2

Not all of them but some of them are, and those are the ones I want to date seriously
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 01:37 AM
1

well I mean , I’m not saying it would be “long term,” that would be silly, how could I know how long it would last in advance
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 12:58 AM
1

I don’t really see the difference? What I’m sauing is that in my experience the vast majority of girls I’ve banged first night, if I texted them a couple days later and took them out to a fancy dinner and asked them to be my exclusive girlfriend, they’d likely say yes. I have no idea if we’d put up with each other for any long amount of time
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 12:52 AM
2

Yeah honestly some of this is my own personal issue bc my RMV greatly exceeds my SMV, so for me, if she’s willing to bang she’s probably pretty willing to date me I don’t think this sorta thing is really uncommon for nerdy guys like me tho
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 11:05 PM
2

im saying she’d typically be willing to get into a relationship and see where it goes, not that she’d promise herself to me forevermore
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 11:02 PM
2

Yup I’m only talking about what happened in most cases, there were definitely a couple exceptions
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 10:29 PM
8

In my experience the vast majority of girls I banged first night were super down for a relationship if I wanted to push it in that direction. Basically if you are a guy with your life reasonably together in any way, if she’ll bang first night she’ll almost certainly also get into a relationship with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 09:35 PM
1

Agree, IME the girls who bang the first night are generally better in bed than the ones who wait
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 09:33 PM
1

This stuff is crazy to me. It’s so fascinating to learn about how our reality is often times an illusion, how our body is subconsciously or unconsciously running the show in a way that we aren’t even aware of
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 09:28 PM
4

Yeah I’m of the opinion that a good bit of this stuff applies to men and women I’ll say this tho, men are more likely to have their bullshit called, women are more likely to find enablers
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 04:08 PM
21

I’m gonna let you in on a little secret about how humans determine why we did something https://physics.weber.edu/carroll/honors/split_brain.htm Spoiler we make it up
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/18 04:51 AM
0

Some of it is likely just intuitive desire to protect women. Also I tend to see male sexuality as more predatory. There’s also the risk of pregnancy.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 11:01 PM
2

Yeah I mean for a variety of reasons I think that women are harmed more by it. I could be wrong tho? I’m not setting policy here I’m just spitballing
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 10:10 PM
2

I just mean a “victim” in the sense of how badly they’re hurt by it or whether they even are hurt by it
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 09:49 PM
2

Yeah that’s fair. I think I really try to see it case by case, that said for various reasons I generally don’t view it as badly as I do where the victim is female
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 09:47 PM
3

Do you think there are any guys who had these sorts of experiences growing up and enjoyed it? Are all guys who had these sorts of experiences “victims”?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 08:58 PM
1

Have you used dating apps The way these women are talking isn’t really that crazy
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 07:25 PM
1

Nope. I’m super glad I’m a man. I would be like the absolute worst woman. I’m logical, I’m opinionated, I like to compete, I’m driven AF, I like to lead and I’m a shitty follower. I do think life would have been easier as a woman, especially if I had not been competent in anything, but I think it’s much much better as a man, especially since I’m pretty good at a few things
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 05:41 PM
8

Because in liberal/leftist circles whoever is the biggest victim has moral authority and is always right lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 04:09 AM
1

It’s not as exciting if we discuss it before Besides , when they like it, they almost always say something like, “I don’t usually like this” so I mean if they’re telling the truth, they have some sort of mental block that makes them think they won’t like it and if they discuss is beforehand they’ll say they don’t like it without evening knowin what they do and don’t like
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/18 11:56 PM
1

I wanna say it was more than 5 years ago , i didn’t read seddit at that time but i was in a similar community about 5 years ago and it was all self development and be fun and flirty type stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/18 10:21 PM
9

SOLID OP Jammerly I usually think you’re way off but you nailed this one
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/18 05:39 AM
1

I could see that sort of comment appropriately addressed to a guy who is SCARED to touch a gir maybe
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/18 02:48 AM
1

Right , isn’t that what pickup coaches are teaching?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/18 01:42 AM
1

Hmm I thought they taught something like “feel out the vibe and escalate when it appears appropriate”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/18 01:20 AM
1

Isn’t touching a normal part of flirting
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/18 12:51 AM
2

ASD refers to anti-slut defense, literally a girl freezing up bc something in the situation (maybe the guy) is making her feel slutty. Are you saying that doesn’t happen? I would disagree with that, people are complex, sometimes they have conflicted feelings and it’s good advice to be mindful of that and not feed into it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 10:42 PM
2

LMR = “leave and come back later” is manipulative? What better advice is there? ASD = “don’t make her feel slutty” is manipulative? How?! I don’t think any pickup coaches are advising “don’t stop when she’s clearly uninterested,” I think that’s hapkening bc socially stunted guys can’t tel she’s uninterested
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 10:12 PM
1

Ok so I think I see what you’re saying. It’s like if someone said, “I hate salads, I can’t eat all that spinach,” it doesn’t really help them if i say “oh well typically I think of salads as being more lettuce based” Yeah?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 08:20 PM
3

One week TRP only applies to working class women, the next week it only applies to UMC, y’all crack me up
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 08:06 PM
1

I always thought TRP was PUA plus other stuff under one big umbrella
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 08:03 PM
3

Is that PUA? I thought that was more strictly a red pill thing
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 08:02 PM
5

PUA tactics are like: flirt be fun stay in the moment make it about you and her How is that manipulative
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 06:58 PM
1

They do these at a whiskey bar I like to go to. It’s pretty cool. Inside the proper glass, it sits such that one shot will rise to halfway up the ice cube, and two shots will rise to the top. Also the sphere does a pretty good job of staying put while you sip the whiskey. It’s neat
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/18 06:42 PM
6

To me it seems just as likely that the pendulum swings back, people become more conservative, and cads become a little more socially outcast, people avoid the red pill sexual strategy Who knows really
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/18 10:09 PM
2

Yeah I hear ya. I mean if someone is totally off then he isn’t going to know what to do once he gets the girl from tinder to meet up
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/18 05:02 PM
5

Eh I disagree about that, I have so many social obligations sometimes I find it hard to even make time for tinder dates. It’s not that I can’t pick up girls from bars, it’s that tinder is easier
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/18 03:32 PM
2

It’s just what i see in my Facebook feed , I don’t have any examples of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/18 03:27 PM
11

Honest question — have you never seen posts where people see a man do something bad and then call it “toxic masculinity”? Because the women on my Facebook seem to do this all the time. I know that isn’t what toxic masculinity is defined as, but it’s how it’s used, it’s literally used as “men are bad”. I don’t know how you think people aren’t going to have a problem with that
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/18 03:05 PM
5

Some guys do better on swipe apps, I for one think it’s way easier than meeting girls irl.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/18 03:02 PM
4

When it’s open on his side only , or if it’s open to girls only
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 11:22 PM
1

That may be the case but people still do it
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 09:39 PM
3

No I think people who bring it up are sometimes trying to shift the discussion to talking about themselves. People like to talk about themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 06:53 PM
6

I don’t get it tho, just because I had X happen to me and I loved it, that doesn’t mean everyone in that situation also loves it
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 06:38 PM
2

Oh ok got it
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 06:20 PM
1

Like what would be an example of this? I’m thinking of things like “women generally don’t know what they want and thus they’re flaky and always changing their minds.” Is that what you’re referring to?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 06:07 PM
1

Yeah I mean I guess the issue is that one instance of sex isn’t equal to one instance of sex, for example having sex 12 times a year with a cold fish of a wife is not anywhere near as satisfying as having sex with 12 new women per year
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 05:52 PM
9

I disagree with the ultimate conclusions about marriage and family, I want a family some day and ultimately even if marriage presents a lot of problems for me, it is still best for my kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 05:00 PM
7

A man's rate of sexual success is purely determined by his physical appeal. Physically unattractive men won't succeed no matter how chivalrous they are. I disagree with this part. Behavior definitely matters. You’re just looking at the wrong behaviors. Men are successful when they behave aggressively. You seem to think it’s based on chivalry or selfless behavior and I agree that sort of behavior won’t really help you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 03:59 PM
3

I’m kinda surprised I would say this guy is probably about my same level in looks (excepting I have a full head of hair) and I get girls way more attractive than that, I also have more tinder matches than I can realistically meet and when I had a couples profile a couple years back I had no problem finding girls who wanted to meet us, I’m sort of at a loss here to explain this
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 05:15 AM
1

Casual sex: be sexually forward, fun, and enjoy rejection Girlfriend: willing to accept the shame of committing to a woman who won’t bang you right away
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 05:03 AM
6

Wow that woman is not attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 04:42 AM
6

They enjoy it more than not doing it tho I have a female friend who is doing this right now and she’s having a blast, maybe in a year she will rationalize this as some awful time, right now she’s loving it. You’re right it’s not her endgame but she’s having fun
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 03:50 AM
9

Not true, most ugly/fat women have no problem banging hot men who are otherwise losers in life
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 02:59 AM
16

LOL oh please I would be shocked if like 5% of women have done 5% as many approaches as me
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 02:58 AM
39

I have an obese friend who say “fuck it I want to be slutty for a bit.” She banged 4 guys in 2 days by basically just asking dudes for it She just shows up drunk. She doesn’t need any game or personality or looks or anything. She just has to exist Very very few men could do this
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 02:56 AM
10

Men feel unsafe we just suck it up and deal with it bc if we bitch about it there’s nothing but downside to that. Women act like I’ve never been around a dude with 40 lbs on me before wtf is that
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/18 02:52 AM
2

LOL yeah that is the logical extension of it, isn’t it? Like according to these people if you have high status or a lot of money then none of your relationships are consensual because of the power imbalance It’s a stupid argument tho, and anybody with half a brain can see through it
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/18 03:42 AM
1

lol what? No
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/18 03:35 AM
2

Who gives a fuck? If you’re not married there’s no presumption of paternity.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/18 03:16 AM

If you think 1% of people in a party scene are doing coke, I really don’t know what to tell you, you clearly haven’t spent much time in party scenes
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/18 12:57 AM

Why would anyone even ask It’s not like they need her dna to do it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/18 11:44 PM

🙋🏽‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/18 11:42 PM

I’m a guy LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/18 10:48 PM

Isn't that a tenant of RP? Tenet* A tenant is a person who leases real property

A first order desire is what I want A second order desire is what I want to want So a classic example is that a crack addict might want some crack. But he also wants to be clean. The desire to be clean is more like a second order desire, ie, he wants to not want crack. I don’t think you can reasonably say a person is only his first order desires or is only his second order desires; rather the nature of our existence is that we’re divided by many conflicting wants and desires, all of which are eq…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/18 06:57 PM
1

Are you familiar with the concept of first- and second- order desires
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/18 05:29 PM
1

Yeah, right?! Ime most people irl don’t care that much unless she’s like a caricature of a slut
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/18 02:40 PM
1

You may have heard of this thing called a “general trend”, yes?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/18 02:39 PM
0

And yet studies show women do exactly that Do you have an actual argument here or nah
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/18 05:47 PM
2

Yup for me that is what it has been like as well. I would find it extremely off putting if someone asked super directly
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/18 03:45 PM
3

Yeah people will discuss it indirectly , that’s fine, give tactful answers and move on
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/18 06:59 AM
6

To ask directly and explicitly?! To me that sort of question is so insanely boundary crossing that it does not deserve a direct or earnest response. Like who even are you that thinks you’re entitled to know that about me and make snap judgments about me based on it at an early relationship stage. Truth is that most people will accept a tactful answer
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/18 06:57 AM
6

Yeah I agree that most people will inquire indirectly , as I said in my top level post that shouldn’t be a problem so long as she doesn’t act like a stereotypical huge slut, man am I crazy to think that a person can speak the truth tactfully and discreetly?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/18 06:54 AM
6

Ok why doesn’t she just date normal people who don’t ask explicitly about N
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/18 03:58 AM
5

I don’t understand your example 2 Why doesn’t she just lie about her N? Or if the problem is that she acts like a stereotypical huge slut and that’s turning guys away— I mean, are you saying that this girl wants to not act like that but she isn’t self aware? Does that even exist? IME sluts know what sluttiness is and they like it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/18 02:29 AM
1

How does a person not know if they’re attracted to someone I don’t get it
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/18 03:46 PM
1

Yeah! I did a week long thru hike last summer, after that I sorta started thinking about taking on something a little longer , this one seemed like the next step for me
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/18 03:45 PM
1

Haters gonna hate
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/18 03:26 AM
1

It just shows what a screwed up frame you come at this from when I say “I want someone who’s super into me and thinks I’m fun and hot and wants to have sex with me right away” and you hear “I want a doormat”
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/18 12:03 AM
1

But I don’t want to be with a woman who doesn’t want a relationship on my terms, so is she really the best? Not for me
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 10:45 PM
1

What I said is that attraction comes first , it is the foremost concern, without it there is no relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 08:45 PM
1

Yeah, I sure have, she’s holds up great out there. But man it’s a rush cruising along at 80 completely exposed like that let me tel ya

She’s 865cc which is a little big to start with but she’s also a big heavy bike so it’s not like I’m flying around on a 865cc sport bike Perfect beginner bike imo
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 07:39 PM
2

yeah honestly I probably wouldn’t believe t either if I hadn’t seen it so much
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 07:38 PM
1

I’m a white collar, educated, UMC professional who do you think I spend my time with
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 07:36 PM
2

Yeah I agree, for what I like to do, a gradual lead in works, other stuff well I can’t speak to that
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 07:35 PM
3

When I was doing the casual sex thing it was almost like a joke hearing that line, it really fucked with me for a while, like why would women say this so much when they intend to bang But eventually I just accepted it 🤷🏽‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 07:30 PM
1

PPD women are the types of women I spend most of my life around tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 06:29 PM
1

I just got out of a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 05:42 PM
1

Yeah it works
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 05:31 PM
1

No I’m looking for a relationship too if it’s the right girl My perspective is that the best relationships are start as sex and progress from there
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 05:25 PM
1

Women often play hard to get, they do want to have sex but they act like they don’t , it’s a game
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 05:03 PM
2

Yeah exactly this , I’m not sure what’s going on here at PPD that these women here act like they don’t know what playing hard to get looks like And it’s fucking crazy laughable that they think any of this is anywhere remotely resembling a hard no or FFS a rape, it’s like polar opposites, a woman giving that kind of no is hard and tight and tense, it’s night and day
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:58 PM
1

when I’m on a first date, I’m screening for someone who thinks I’m hot enough and fun enough to have sex with without knowing much else about me. That is what I want in a partner first and foremost. If she doesn’t think I’m that guy then she’s free to walk away. It’s not a big deal. We can learn more about each other’s personality later, we literally have all the time in the world for that
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:53 PM
4

Anybodu who has spent any time in the hookup game has probably heard the following line: “We’re not going to have sex tonight.” Women that say this often say it with a wink and nod, in my experience women say it in a challenging way like, “or maybe we will let’s see what happens”. Lots of girls play hard to get, it’s what women do, I don’t understand these women here at PPD who feign ignorance about playing hard to get, I’m not sure if they’re even debating in good faith tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:41 PM
3

This is exactly what Lewis is saying though, your hypothetical woman wants it both ways, she wants to be loved like she banged him without actually doing it
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:27 PM
1

Oh cool yeah one of my friends has a dual sport, he has been taking it out on a lot of the trails around here, seems really fun I’ve got a cruiser, triumph bonneville
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:15 PM
1

Do you launch into deep political tirades in the elevator at work or do you make small talk?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:11 PM
1

you are still approaching this from a perspective where people generally speak from an inflexible or unchangeable position, most of the time that’s not the case. You’re taking the rare cases where it’s like that and blowing those up into being everything
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:10 PM
1

Approach it playfully and gently, don’t launch right into it 100%
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:07 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:36 AM
2

I don’t care about those other places, I do not view political movements in which i take part from an “intersectional” perspective or anything like “the oppressed people of the world unite,” rather, I look at the political structures to which I do belong and organize therein with similarly positioned individuals in the form of a common interest group We have a common interest, we pool our resources and advocate for our interest. Outsiders, foreigners are irrelevant to that
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 04:25 AM
3

I mean that’s one way to frame it , for me it’s more about boundaries, my deeply held beliefs are very personal things and I don’t wanna get into all that shit with someone I barely know and don’t have much of a connection with, especially a girl that I’m trying to get into bed with. She doesn’t get to know the deeper me until we are on that level
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 03:52 AM
4

Ok but a bad argument isn’t the same as being a troll
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 03:23 AM
1

What does that have to do with anything? It’s the way that she writes not whether she likes black dudes
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 03:22 AM
1

Read her posts with that perspective, they will seem much more genuine and much less like “an obvious troll”
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 03:18 AM
0

its like feminists got rid of the parts of leftism that actually help the average person, and latched on to all the rest
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 03:15 AM
1

Ayyyyy
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 02:05 AM
1

Why Women aren’t that consistent If I adopt that as a rule of thumb I’m going to misunderstand her all the times that she means “no for now” (which realistically is FAR more often than she means “no forever”)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 01:45 AM
1

What is with y’alls obsession with asking , can you not read people well enough to know if their face is saying it’s ok to proceed Anyway sometimes someone tells you no in a way that’s like “no not right now” so you shouldn’t take it as “no, forever”
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 01:37 AM
3

Depends how she told you not to do it I guess There’s a good chance she won’t view it the same way forever
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 01:27 AM
2

No I disagree, I mostly establish consent by testing the waters and looking at how she reacts, rather than getting explicit verbal consent For example if I want to slap her during sex, first I’ll test the waters by like just putting my hand on her face or like a teasing little slap with just my fingertips. Depending on how she reacts to that I might take it further or I might not
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 01:21 AM
0

Of course I would take her seriously at that moment Doesn’t mean it’s not negotiable at some later point in time
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 01:06 AM
1

To be clear I don’t ever jump right in to any kind of sex act, I always “test the waters” so to speak. And it isn’t at all uncommon that when I test the waters on something previously forbidden she gives me a big ol green light
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 12:45 AM
4

Yeah obviously My point is that most women are so incredibly waffley and inconsistent, it would be foolish to attach too much permenance to whatever they’re saying today
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 12:35 AM
7

Women always act like it’s negotiable tho Like one day she’ll tell you that never ever do sex act x, the next day she’s feelin the love and she’ll fucking initiate sex act x
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/18 12:26 AM
5

I just can’t see how he thought that sorta reply would get him anywhere
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 10:25 PM
5

Yeah for me I like to keep it lighthearted and fun with a girl until after we’ve had sex, which means no politics, religion, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 10:11 PM
17

also argued that a woman’s worth went down as her sexual partners increased while the inverse was true for men. How does this even come up? The only way I could ever imagine even talking about this sort of stuff is if I’d already written the girl off (which maybe he had, if you told him you were saving yourself for marriage)

It’s dope! What sorta bike are you looking for
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 08:56 PM
1

Yeah I mean for me the first date is when I start getting an idea if she has these qualities at all, and then I gain a deeper understanding of her personality as time goes on
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 05:58 PM
1

Yeah I mean you gradually learn about her tho, you’re not asking her to marry you on the second date are you
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 05:53 PM
1

Qualify and test her
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 05:51 PM
2

For me: adventurous smart artistic or crafty low maintenance loyal If she’s not up to par then I’ll keep calling her to hang out but never make it exclusive (ie fwb)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 05:34 PM
1

Yea maybe so , I hadn’t thought of it that way
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 03:21 PM
1

Ya I agree But it’s not like the average dude on the football team or the chess team or whatever is leading the teamv

I played high school football, I also did high school debate There’s no question in my mind which group was on average smarter, and which group on average was a bunch of stupid rednecks
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 12:55 AM
2

You have it backwards Kids who go to Harvard play high school sports Kids who play high school sports do not go to Harvard This is bc Harvard is so extremely selective that they can select the kid who plays football, and is captain of the chess team, founded the math league, and volunteered for 10 different charities on a regular basis
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 12:53 AM
1

Women are only happy when their partner has the upper hand
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 12:45 AM
5

“Fetish”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/18 12:03 AM
1

Ya that’s true. I guess in some situations I like doing dirty talk stuff, I’m not really doing it for the purpose of getting consent, but I mean technically it is a verbal consent
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/18 04:04 PM
4

“Works fine”
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/18 02:00 AM
1

Still that said I don’t rely on verbal consent all the tine For example with hitting during sex I’ll start with an extremely gentle and playful slap, and I’ll watch her reaction very closely as I do it. If she looks at me like “oh that’s nothing” or even better “oh is that all you’ve got?” well then I’ll escalate from there
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/18 11:47 PM
2

Maybe you’re overlooking it? I really don’t approach it like how th TBP people do but I know it’s there. I don’t see how you can spend any time there and not see all the “edgy and proud” folks
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/18 11:22 PM
5

I’m not personally a huge moralizer so for me when I say “bad” or “evil” here I’m basically talking about commonly accepted moral violations: egregious lies and cheating, most violence, most crimes, basically the stuff that the vast majority would agree is bad behavior It’s obvious when you see it on the sub, the people who are being edgelordy about it, they know it’s bad, they’re proud of how bad it is, they’re anti social people
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/18 11:19 PM
7

Right I’m not blaming RP itself, it is pretty obvious tho from reading the subreddit that lots of people do intend to use it for bad purposes. It really only bothers me when they’re over the top annoyingly edgelprdy about it
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/18 06:12 PM
2

Verbally asking during sex "is this okay?" "are you sure?" "can I do this now?" is straight up fucking awkward, kills the mood, and makes you look autistic. It’s all about HOW you say it. Like you can make that stuff into commands or dirty talk and it flows just fine
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/18 05:56 PM
1

I like repeat after me commands dirty talk As a way to establish consent That said I also don’t rely on verbal consent for every little thing, as I don’t find it difficult to read peoples faces
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/18 05:52 PM
26

yeah I feel like a lot of people on trp don’t understand the concept Amoral: a hammer is an amoral tool, it isn’t of itself good or evil What I see on TRP: the hammer itself is amoral, thus I can do anything I want with a hammer and my action is neither good nor evil
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/18 05:49 PM
1

Yeah it’s just me here, me and my dog. When I had a roommate in the past tho we had the same housekeeper and did about the same amout of work. I mean I’m pretty clean as I go, I don’t really make much mess in the first place. I don’t understand how it could really take all that time to cook and clean, I do like zero cleaning around the house. So basically just how long it takes to cook and do laundry, which with simple meals and the assistance of machines is very little time
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/18 01:40 AM
3

My housekeeper makes my house look immaculate in 1.5 hours per week. The amount of “picking up” I do is negligible, I wouldn’t even count it. I maybe do 3-4 hours per week of housework and cooking other than that. Some people just make things harder than they need to be
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/18 12:08 AM
8

That sounds more like obsessing about being kind, which isn’t necessary in order to be kind
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 11:23 PM
10

Beng legitimately kind will give you peace of mind
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 11:01 PM
4

Yeh no shit It’s male solipsism They’re being what they want, rather than being what women want
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 10:27 PM
3

I don’t relate to it, and it makes me feel gross to read it, I’m disgusted that someone could take something I enjoy and turn it into that This isn’t a rational response on my end, it’s purely gut level stuff here
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 09:15 PM
1

😬
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 09:08 PM
5

My hypothesis is that they think they’ll be accepted as normal women and don’t realize otherwise until too late
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 08:57 PM
1

Yeah I think 14-16, centering around 15/sophomore year/getting the learners permit and access to a car
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 08:54 PM
1

eh I mean as a guy as soon as it turns on you’re sorta out there trying to find sex any way you can. At 15 it felt like I’d been searching forever
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 08:49 PM
1

At my high school it seemed like the normal people started at 14-16
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 08:45 PM
4

really? I am not familiar with Asian sex politics to be honest although here in America the rumor is that Asian women are super into Americans
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 08:43 PM
3

Are they themselves linking that up with porn tho or is that just something people other than them are proposing? It just seems weird to me to say porn causes that, I don’t understand the link
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 08:42 PM
1

Reading Jordan Peterson’s new book, it’s really good
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 07:51 PM
2

What is the connection tho, Are guys in those places saying “I watched a bunch of porn and that’s how I knew I wanted to be a woman”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 07:46 PM
1

Hm yeah I don’t know, autogynephilia just doesn’t make sense to me as an explanation, I don’t get it
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 07:26 PM
16

This explanation is much simpler and makes more sense to me: Women have it better than failed men Some failed men (mistakenly) think that they’d be better off if they tried to be a woman
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 07:19 PM
1

Not if side chick knows her place

/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 05:16 PM
2

When we were doing the “how much time does housework take” debate on here, it was really illuminating to see how much time some people will justify where they really aren’t doing much I was getting legit responses of 40+ hours a week to clean a house and cook meals , of course it all falls apart when you break it down
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/18 05:16 PM
4

I got into an argument here on ppd with a woman who insisted that she had to sit around while the washing machine and dishwasher ran, and she counted all that time as time doing housework 🙄 Peoplr like to exaggerate how much they’ve worked
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/18 06:44 PM
2

You would or you do Judgments about what you’d do in a situation you’re not in are jus hot air
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/18 06:03 PM
6

If your friend asks to take some money, and you say yes, and he takes $20, and you were only willing to give $5 but you didn’t say anything, has he stolen from you?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/18 05:52 PM
1

On the facts presented this is most likely not rape
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/18 05:47 PM
1

LOL total opposite imo, I’m a skinny nerd probably below average and I do just fine
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/18 09:51 PM
3

Yeah I’ve heard you use that example before, imo that guy has issues if he can’t own his shit. He sets up this huge ruse just because he can’t tell her he doesn’t wanna buy her a drink? I agree that’s weak AF And ya I’m all about those tinder dates. Also drinks not coffee but I figure it’s the same principle right? Although maybe there’s fewer miscommunications with “let’s get drunk at the bar next to my house” than with “let’s go check out my fav coffee shop”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/18 09:32 PM
1

Solid write up, you’ve given me a lot to think about in there
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/18 09:21 PM
3

No you’re missing what I’m saying. I have better results getting sex right away if I don’t buy shit (actually I prefer, “I’ll get this round you get the next” when the question pops up) and on the other hand, if I come across too willing to buy shit then she puts on the brakes bc she starts seeing me as a relationship or provider prospect
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/18 09:15 PM
7

What about him is anti women? If you believe that any generalizations about male and female nature are anti women then yea he’s anti women. IMO he seeks an understanding of male and female nature in a fair and evenhanded way, and he’s open to being proven wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/18 08:59 PM
3

It’s not about cheapness it is bc buying her shit too soon sets up too much of a providership vibe , which IME makes girls put the brakes on the interaction (ie take it slow for a relationship rather than have sex right away)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/18 08:51 PM
3

OR that they don’t have kids lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/18 02:44 AM
2

No idea I’m not a doctor
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/18 05:22 PM
1

Yes it is a blurry line, but for sake of illustration it helps to look at it as a clear line I don’t know what it means that your friends are on equal levels Do you really relate to romantic/sexual prospects and friends in the same way?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/18 05:21 PM
2

Imo the difference is if you set a friend vibe or a potential sexual partner vibe in your interaction It doesn’t have to be over the top but it does have to be there
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/18 06:43 AM
3

Where are you going with this? Are you just being purposefully obtuse? Do you really not understand that a slave owning society protects its own from enslavement?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/18 02:33 AM
2

Yea true
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 08:44 PM
2

Yeah true, I think a lot of poor people also have no idea how to prepare food
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:13 PM
1

It doesn’t hurt me at all, I think your argument is weak
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:08 PM
3

lol why are you making this personal, I eat an extremely healthy diet
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:06 PM
1

I mean I guess it’s cool to see it when it’s me
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:05 PM

Crafts are such a matter of personal taste. If I like your crafts t doesn’t matter if they’re bad, if I hate them, it doesn’t matter if they’re great
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:05 PM
2

lol can always fight off the attacker, GTFOH Maybe if I’m carrying
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:03 PM
9

True, but, shitty high calorie low quality food that fucks up your insulin and makes you super hungry is also cheap AF. I would imagine that’s the problem for a lot of poor fat people
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:46 AM
1

really ugly, fat, disabled, and unkempt or really poor. Why are you assuming that male incels are not also those things
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:39 AM
2

if her style and makeup are super on point , like, leader among women in those things, then yeah. If it’s just buying expensive makeup and handbags without the requisite taste and skill to put them to good use, then no Even then, that sort of aesthetic interest also usually translates into something I could appreciate like a secondary interest in artistic composition, or decoration, or gardening etc If not I’d suggest that she finds something she’s better at
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:33 AM
1

Yup , I did a weeklong backpacking trip , about 10-15 miles a day with a few solid days of 3000 feet elevation gain or loss, I was eating 5000-6000 carries a day and I still lost weight
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:22 AM
1

How on earth did you have a significant amount of fat on your body at 5’9 130 That’s crazy man
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:14 AM
1

“Here let me disprove a general rule with one exception”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:11 AM
1

Depends how fat too? I mean once she starts getting into pudgy labia territory its a solid no thanks from me
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:10 AM
1

I’ve had girls who I otherwise wouldn’t bang approach at closing time and ask me to go to their place for an “after party” I feel like “pity fuck” is sort of a crude term but I mean it was pretty much like “ok sure why not”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:08 AM
5

LOL what Lots of women say “men are pigs”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:03 AM
2

about how all men are horrible scum and they’d love to see them get their comeuppance? I’ve seen lots of “fat friend” behavior not inconsistent with them holding that belief
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:02 AM
6

Just world fallacy , I think is what its called
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 05:00 AM
5

how they're still able to live their lives knowing there are sickos out there who'd hurt them if they could get away with it, yikes. Why you think this is a gendered problem is Beyond me. Basically anyone who ever leaves their house ever has to confront this
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 04:59 AM
2

. They spew rage and hatred, don't listen to reasonable solutions, and come up with a shopping list of why their lives are doomed. I’ve known a lot of fat girls who this applies to as well
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 04:57 AM
2

I’ve never thought of that as an appeal to porn Who wants to see what sex looks like from under some dudes nutsack or whatever What I want to see in porn is basically the same thing I see while I fuck I wonder if I’m the outlier on this or you are
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 03:06 AM
1

First thing I thought reading this
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/18 02:26 AM
1

That’s a figurative use
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/18 01:56 AM
1

How is it a cuck if you aren’t raising a kid
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/18 01:55 AM
2

I like people who are really active , to me that’s what is interesting
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/18 09:48 PM
1

I mean it really depends on what the specific guy finds interesting For me, Id try to boil it down to this: I like someone who has actual interests and hobbies that I am eager to learn about, and who is also interested in and eager to learn about the hobbies I pursue. Like if I ask a girl, “so what do you do for fun,” and her answer is take selfies and drink a lot, that sort of girl is not offering much more than sex. Is she? Maybe if she’s good at photography or some kind of alcohol aficionado …

Men generally do not want to pump and dump, ideally men would want to meet a super awesome and interesting girl who gives them amazing mind blowing sex right away and yet still has some sort of intrigue that’s still there after sex The problem is that many girls are boring and most of what they bring to the relationship is sex, so if a guy gets that from them and it’s underwhelming, why would he commit?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/18 03:55 PM

Or the sex was awful and he’d rather search elsewhere than repeat that experience

Yeah from what I’ve read this change should really help with insulin sensitivity as well I’m torn about what to do with fruit because it is nutritious but also sugary, I try not to overeat it. I figure as long as I stay away from added sugar or super refined carbs that’s pretty good

I had a successful and ambitious mother. Hard driving career woman type. My LTR girlfriend (who I’ll likely marry) is not ambitious. She’s not a driven career woman type. She does not drive hard to get shit done. She’s very likeable and easygoing, and she is successful in the work world more because everyone that she meets loves her.

yeah and then 10 minutes later she escalated passionately Have you seriously never seen how a woman can go hot cold hot cold

LOL dumb “Letting sex happen” is just shitty passive sex, it’s the kind of sex that makes you not call a girl back because she’s a bad lay Some women just don’t want to take responsibility for their poor performance. It’s 2018, y’all have a burden of performance too now

This girl I’m thinking of was actually pretty good, she just had this tone in her voice that like magically made them terrified of her, it was seriously impressive. Like if she was around her kids did not go wild the way I see lots of other peoples kids going wild. I guess tho it is kinda unrealistic that ANYONE could just be that good of a disiciplinarian
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/18 12:42 AM

I don’t understand how you get “dead bedroomed” like just rile her up and make her horny? Or if she really is a cold fish either divorce her or just go cheat on her discreetly

I dated a girl once who was an effective disciplinarian with kids, she made them do all the work and they kept their rooms clean as if they were about to be inspected. My parents did the same with me now that I think about it. Most people don’t have what it takes to do this but frankly it isn’t very difficult and I don’t see why people have such a hard time with it

I know one MGTOW in real life and he’s an older lifelong bachelor with a lot going for him. I know a handful of “pickup” dudes in real life, the vast majority (like 3/4) of them are cool people, have interesting jobs, they’re into cool shit like festivals and travel and photography. To be fair it seems like among male feminists I know, the vast majority are cool dudes too 🤷🏻‍♂️. I know weirdo neckbeards from each side of the aisle
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/18 12:57 AM

It’s not entirely that. People have an idea of how much “niceness” is appropriate for a given situation, and there are lots of environments where being sort of not nice is expected. You will not fare well in those places if you act like a “gentleman”. You don’t have to be an asshole but I mean if you’re too soft you’ll get eaten alive

Yeah you probably would see feminist stuff on fb if you used it a lot For me I don’t block people, so maybe someone (for example) whose posts I like in our shared hobbies might be someone who’s posts I don’t really care for about feminism. I just scroll past it but still I see it, I know it’s there even if I don’t really give it much thought

No , you’re right I don’t have it all figured out But certain things I’ve known for a long time, like I’ve known what I wanted to do for work, I’ve known that I want a family, I’ve known myself pretty well Also I don’t really have a hard time making up my mind where I want to go next, it comes naturally to me, it isn’t hard for me to find my mission

When birthrates fall, government will start supporting mass-immigration from the third world to keep the population numbers rising in favor of the wealthy elite that profits the most from a growing economy Not likely in the US bc we have a large Hispanic population on our southern border that can easily be integrated into our society Y’all people who don’t see how ripe Hispanic culture is for assimilation into American culture are fucking blind

Not true at all, there are SOME bonafide “lifelong bachelor” type MGTOW guys, like players who never grow up It’s a tiny proportion of the mgtow community tho , I think it’s what the community aspires to be but doesn’t always live up to

I think if we are being fast and loose and roughly approximating, you’re right, however, you’re also technically wrong I don’t watch much TV. But when I do, it’s a social occasion like a game of thrones party or a good friend showing me their favorite show. Sometimes I’ll watch a documentary about a topic that I’m interested in, etc So is it wasteful, mindless entertainment? Yeah sure, more or less, but there is something gained by it now and then

To get more attractive girls I have to be charming and funny, my jokes have to hit, I have to show the best side of my personality, and i don’t always succeed at these things. But occasionally I’m on my game and I charm them and after the first bang they like me and it’s easy going To get less attractive girls I just exist and they’re down I don’t see why you think these two things can’t both happen
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/18 03:08 PM

I absolutely will slum it, sometimes girls who are nowhere near the sort of woman who I would commit to will be very forward and easy, so why not? I don’t want to bust my ass to get laid all the time, sometimes I just want to bang without doing much work

The basic idea is that you should be open with all of your emotions and never attempt to hide any part of yourself in fear of appearing weak. I think you’re misunderstanding this. You should show emotion in situations where it is warranted and acceptable, so you don’t look like some sort of inhuman monster. You shouldn’t just go emote all over the place for its own sake And in some situations, where your weak position is completely apparent, it only makes sense to admit it, because if you attemp…

Truly masculine and dominant men are stoic. They don't throw violent temper tantrums and act like whiny bitches. Counter exhibit A: Donald Trump Has achieved literally so much dominance that he could destroy the world if he’d like to. Throws temper tantrums very frequently. It’s an issue when we can’t determine precisely how to quantify it. In other words, what does “not everyone is like that” even mean? IS it literally one exception somewhere? A tiny but notable minority A small but significant minority? A large minority? I think in some cases it’s useful to argue against absolutes, particularly if we’re talking about some sort of small but significant minor or a large minority. In other cases, even the tiny but notable minority might be worth discussing if people…

Yeah I mean that’s why I said “I’ve known a few” and “it’s not unheard of” . I can’t quantify it based on my anecdotes, but it’s more than “completely unheard of” for sure Also there are other factors, for example every last one of those women that I can think of has a lot of family support (family money for the UMC girl, for the others they have large and supportive families to help out with childcare and misc odds and ends)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/18 01:45 AM

you really think it’s that rare? I’ll admit these are outliers but I mean if I’ve known a few of these it can’t be “freak occurrence” rare The two I know most closely: one of them raised in UMC family, had a kid as a teenager (no idea why she didn’t abort it) but with lots of familial support she went on to college and now has a decent career another one got knocked up in her early 20s, worked as a nurse for a while, went back to law school in her late 20s and now does medical malpractice plaint…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/18 09:48 PM

No i disagree , most guys will have “hot” and “fit” bodies if they’re active and healthy. It’s only by living sedentary lives and eating garbage that they get pudgy and soft. Seriously if you don’t believe me start working a labor job (or exercise several hours per day) and eating right, and enjoy the results

Is there anywhere that people really talk that symbolically? I’m in my mid 30s and as far as I can tel most people do speak directly and earnestly save for a little poetic license here and there. I’ve only known a few people who speak in metaphors much, I find it hard to believe that there’s this whole human world of indirect speech going on everywhere except wherever I am **Just read the linked article maybe I’m misunderstanding the concept, that all seems pretty direct

It appears that in the grandparent post you’re giving metoo a very wide reading, and then when someone called you on it, you shifted to the extremely narrow reading that it’s only about victims of sex assault. It’s interesting from a debate POV

I didn’t know that at the time with that particular girl, and more generally I didn’t necessarily know that with various girls i was seeing. And then in another sense it’s me trying to figure out what sort of signal I might be sending and whether I even want to send a clear signal (or remain a little ambiguous) Based on that it sounds like you’d be coming across fairly casual at …

lol yeah totally I think you really hit something here. For me I’m usually pretty open to keep dating an okay but not amazing girl indefinitely and see if she somehow wins me over. I’m not going to refuse sex or not pursue it simply bc I’m not ready to commit to her forevermore. I think quite a few women take offense to this tho like it’s somehow my responsibility to know our entire future up front
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/18 05:50 PM

Yeah when I wrote “no dinners” above I was thinking of like a fancy steakhouse. A taco bar, that’s definitely more casual, definitely not the same sort of serious relationship vibe

Dinners? I mean it depends on the particular dinner sure, but taking a girl out on a proper dinner date sets a relationship-seeking vibe
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/18 05:12 PM

Yeah I took a girl out for ice cream one time as like a 4th or 5th time that we hung out (tbh I just wanted some ice cream that day) but I did notice that she started reading into it like it was some sort of cutesy date thing I was trying to set up From that day on, I just kept it more simple, which for me meant only doing drinks if it was a casual hookup sort of thing. If we had some real friendship as well, maybe we could do a friend activity while hanging out. But no dinners and nothing cutes…

For me there are a lot of fine lines. For example — going out for drinks is sorta romantic and boyfriend-ish but it’s also different from going out for ice cream which is very romantic and boyfriendish. It was all about finding the proper balance of “sex object” behavior and boyfriend behavior so as to make the vibe sexual but not cheap, and warm but not too serious

You should see how leftist Facebook is characterizing this: “So women are expected to use a male form of communication? They have to express themselves using words? Why are women expected to take the burden of all action?!?” Imo these people are going to cause a massive loss in credibility for their own side
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/18 02:44 PM

Do you realize that when someone says “immigrants are talking my jobs” or “women” or whatever, they are not saying, “I can’t compete with immigrants,” instead it is an economic argument that immigrants are increasing the supply of labor and thus descreasing it’s value generally This is honestly such a simple argument that I have trouble believing people don’t understand it when they portray it as “I can’t compete with immigrants”, to me that sounds like a bad faith argument

Bullshit , PUA is just “how to flirt” it isn’t necessarily manipulation. Some PUA guys use it that way but it isn’t inherent
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/18 01:20 AM
1

The same with “creep”?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 11:23 PM
6

Yeah this is where this line sort of breaks down Seems to me like women constantly feel like they’re in physical danger, like even if some 90 lb weakling looks at them funny
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 10:47 PM
8

Yeah I mean I sorta see “creep” the same way. It just means “i don’t like it and you should feel bad”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 10:42 PM
11

Let me answer your question with a question: What are males supposed to call females “cuntish” or “cunt” for? What is the correct way to use this word and why?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 10:06 PM
1

Yeah funny how people will become accepting when they have no other choice
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 09:18 PM
3

Uh no, my mom cares about it. And more social class than money, like if I married a poor but culturally UMC girl she’d be happy with that My girl is actually from a working class background but she does well around all classes, she’s an eccentric weirdo that everyone seems to love
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 09:16 PM
1

Funny how that goes My mom was too “other” for my dads parents. (She’s Hispanic but white in complexion and appearance). They got married anyway For me though, the expectation was that I’m only to marry someone acceptably white. Not really a big issue for me tho bc I’m more or less only attracted to white women
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 07:31 PM
2

My mom is extremely class conscious and she basically told me not to marry somebody from a working class or underclass background. That was the main thrust of her advice to me. Her reasoning was mostly that it would reflect poorly on her.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 07:21 PM
1

I would reconcile the two by saying that I believe that you can’t ever admit any sort of despairing weakness as a man But you can open up in most other ways
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 05:19 PM
1

Are you American? For us there are few situations where calling the police is going to make things better
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 12:34 AM
1

Yes I agree. However once you get into the dynamics among adults, the lines are much more blurred
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/18 08:22 PM
1

Would you consider it an abuse of position if he ran into her in a bar 5 years later, they hit it off, and banged? I generally would view something like that as far removed enough from the power relationship to wash it clean of any abuse of power
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/18 08:03 PM
4

Nothing good comes out of sharing your emotions as a man. I think this is what women who encourage men to open up really don’t understand—likely because when women open up they generally get support and a hand up. When you do this as a man, people walk away from you
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/18 04:53 PM

Women have it easier but they have a lower ceiling. They’re better insulated against failure Men have it better if they’re successful and worse if they’re failures

Whenever you feel ready bro, if you’re asking these questions you probably are old enough

nah the people with $25k are the biggest predators of all, they want $25k more
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 07:41 PM

There are a million random people trying to part me from my money somehow, this is how a capitalist society works. People come up with schemes and try to get others to play
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 07:41 PM
5

Remove the metaphor I literally have $25k and people are constantly trying to get it from me
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 05:18 PM
1

Yeah but I mean you can do that in an ltr with any girl And you’re never gonna teach her tricks you don’t know
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 04:46 AM
1

Imo experienced girls are way better lays than virgin girls Virgin girls are often hesitating, they freak out if you do anything remotely rough or violent, they don’t know how to give head, they don’t have a bunch of weird trick moves that they’ve learned over the years, they don’t have the experience to really work the emotional aspects of it, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 12:44 AM
2

Uh no i don’t think that at all, I agree that body count matters What cracks me up tho is all the dudes who come out in these threads who want a complete Virgin
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 12:24 AM
2

oh. I thought you meant some kind of long term strategy sort of thing What you just said there, you can do that with experienced people too
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 12:22 AM
1

Seems like that would be a lot of work
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/18 12:08 AM
1

Too soft , not interesting I already played that game with my first LTR girlfriend , if that had worked out I’d have been happy with it but now there’s no going back
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 11:54 PM

I mean I think it’s important for a woman to stay at home with the kids while they’re very young but there comes a point where she should get back to work
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 10:48 PM
1

“Career woman” as used here doesn’t just mean woman with a job, it has a specific negative connotation
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 10:25 PM
1

lol okay Mr. Precise Why would anyone want to seriously date a virgin or otherwise very inexperienced girl?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 10:24 PM

You can tell by the way she has sex. I mean it’s not perfect but you can tell
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 10:06 PM

Ok well like after high school
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 09:43 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 09:21 PM

I work with a few type A, high powered career women, imo they really run the range on this. Some of them date kinder gentler dudes some of them date other high power type A types. Seems like an pretty even distribution tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 09:21 PM
0

Why would anyone want to seriously date a Virgin lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 09:16 PM

Men are more or less indifferent to morality and power in mate selection Women select for power and are more or less indifferent to morality in mate selection
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/18 06:09 PM

Yeah it is what it is, I don’t think I’m being depressive or undervaluing myself, rather, I think I’m just giving a frank assessment of myself. I would be delusional if I ran around thinking I’m 10/10 physically or 0/10 for that matter
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 09:54 PM
1

How is this difficult? I believe that some women find me attractive. Their personal assessment of me is that they think I’m attractive. I can be some woman’s 10. I do not believe that I am “attractive” in the sense that women generally find me attractive. I probably rank pretty lowly in that regard I’m like a 5.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 09:41 PM
1

lol I honestly perceive myself as ugly and unattractive , frankly I’m surprised when I do get women who are up to bang bc it feels like I get 100 rejections for every time I get laid so when I do find one who’s interested, that’s pretty rare Still i have no problem accepting that SOME WOMAN SOMEWHERE would have me, like, to reject that I’d have to believe that I’m absolutely and completely worthless
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 09:30 PM
1

I don’t think unattractive people believe that nobody anywhere finds them attractive, and that nobody ever could. What they believe is that they’re generally unattractive. So if some woman is up to bang, I would believe that she finds me attractive, however what she thinks really doesn’t have any bearing on whether I’m generally attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 09:21 PM
3

So he’s going to think she’s fucking him as some kind of scheme? I’m sorry that’s so outside the realm of what actually happens in life, I can’t understand it. The level of commitment required for that, it’s unreal. Why would she even do that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 09:01 PM
5

Vast majority of people i see talking up their “thicc” partners or whatever, they’re dating fat people. Extraordinarily few of them are actually fit and thicc
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 08:52 PM
4

Some of the proposed solutions were that females fuck males with low self esteem to fix the problem. I think you misunderstood those replies. Those people were saying, “if you want to convince him that you think he’s attractive, then fuck him,” which is sorta different from what you’re saying here.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 08:45 PM
5

Who would decide
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 08:32 PM
7

Yeah that’s the whole point, instead of feeling guilt they make up some story about how everything they do is a-ok
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 08:13 PM
3

This type of belief can be a good spur for personal development such as self reliance but making it into some sort of encompassing worldview is a mistake
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 06:45 PM

I think that your single cause analysis is reductive, there are many reasons why people obey laws, we have now identified two of them

I don’t think those two things are dependent on each other
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 05:00 PM

Hm yeah maybe I’m being a little dark and cynical bc there are donuts at my place of work literally 2-3 days of the week. In my world it’s closer to everyday indulgence than a special treat

Man people are so weird “Here’s a bunch of tempting poison, enjoy!” “Wow what a nice gesture”
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 03:52 PM

“Nobody owes you anything” is something that people say when they’re looking to avoid doing anything helpful or positive for others, or something that people who know they’ve been an asshole say to make themselves feel less guilty. They’re looking for moral absolution Anyway I do believe that you owe others with whom you participate in various social arrangements something: you agree to participate in those arrangements in good faith according to the internal rules of that social arrangement.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 03:48 PM
6

I’ve seen it said to rationalize all sorts of shit Also like I said, that’s just what you owe anyone. If you participate in particular social arrangements you may owe others more. If I participate in a queue I owe it to others not to queue jump for example
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 03:04 PM
8

Compliance with law Any responsibilities they’ve assumed
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 03:01 PM
24

“Nobody owes anybody anything” is a refrain of shitty people rationalizing their shitty selves. It’s not even true, there are basic standards of behavior that everyone does owe everyone else, and there are further standards of behavior which you must satisfy to participate in particular social arrangements
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 02:55 PM
1

Yeah you’re right this is one of those things that varies dramatically from place to place

Absolutely agree Whenever girls find out that I have adult shit like a job and an education , they want to slow their roll and date me When they only know me as the dude who has cool hobbies that they are interested in, they’re OK with just hanging out and letting what happens happen
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/18 04:35 AM

No I’m thinking of like mainly Facebook and Instagram (and similar smaller niche apps that are typically associated to your real life identity) Also twitter Snapchat

I’m not a social media hater, quite the opposite I’m one of the biggest social media proponents on this sub And this just occurred to me, I’m also one of the people in this sub who most strongly argues that online dating is easier than the bar and club scene. That’s an interesting connection Anyway the reason I posted this here wasn’t to talk shit, it’s just to post it and share. If I were to offer commentary it would be along the lines of: (1) this is interesting and it appears to follow the WA…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/18 06:48 PM

I just use tinder. I like the simplicity of the swipe matching, for me it works. I also like that they have the huge user base, for me that’s a benefit not a drawback
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/18 04:10 PM

I’ve only dated one borderline girl but she laid it all out on the first night, what pills she was taking and everything, unfortunately at the time I had no idea what I was getting into
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/18 01:24 AM
1

I’m really just talking about maximizing my effort:reward here, like, I’ve picked girls up before and I can do it, it’s just, I think doing it online is easier. I still go out to bars and socialize bc it’s fun in its own right, but if I really wanna get laid with little effort, tinder is where it’s at Also you don’t have to deal with a bunch of random shit that the bar scene throws at you: mixed sets, amogs, the cockblocking fat friend, etc. I mean, it’s good to know how to deal with that stuff,…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/18 12:51 AM
1

Maybe I’m just a visual person but I prefer just going by the pictures
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/18 08:56 PM
1

Yeah in part I do better online bc I can set myself up for success more easily, like the “standard” online encounter looks like this: swipe right and match 3-5 messages get number 3-5 texts plan to meet for drinks go have drinks, be playful and have fun, go back to my house I just keep a bunch of these running at any given time, sure a bunch of them drop out or “brush me off” but who cares there’s way more girls on tinder than I have time to meet anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/18 05:25 PM
2

Meeting a girl one on one at a bar is a totally different dynamic than approaching a girl to talk to her Imo it’s way easier, she already has a lot of investment in you at that point, the whole dynamic of her going to a bar to meet you alone is basically step one to seduction
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/18 04:47 PM
1

On the other hand, I am a smart cookie, I am well read and well travelled and rather interesting, and that is something that can come across in a profile online. It won't come across during a cold approach at a bar. You can make this come across in pictures too, it’s just more subtle. (Or in a bar approach for that matter)
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/18 04:44 PM
2

What a stupid claim, you think men ALWAYS do better irl vs online? HOW? First of all, there are a few guys here who do better online than irl (I’m one of them and I’m like a skinny 5 ) Second, i don’t know how anyone can think online is hard, it’s super easy, you just take pictures of you living your own fun and interesting and cool life, you put them up online, and bam the women flood in. I have gotten laid in bars but it’s a lot more work than laying on my couch and texting women where i want …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/18 04:40 PM

lol I sometimes report egregious rule violation even if I’m not involved in the thread, as I think it lowers the quality of discussion over all
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/18 09:06 PM
4

Leftist Facebook is up in arms about it LOL “Social injustice” all over my feed It sucks, they have a good economic message, but they’ll never win by championing shit like that
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/18 08:13 PM
2

No he probably does “like” the woman, he probably just doesn’t like her enough to commit to her
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/18 04:37 PM
15

But don’t you see that it’s a problem? When a large number of people feel left out, right or wrong, they’re going to cause problems. They need to be addressed somehow, or they will make their problem into all of our problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/18 12:04 AM

I find a lot of the terminology here extremely cringe, ultimately tho I use it bc it’s a common shorthand

Ah! Ok gotcha
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/18 11:29 PM

I’m not sure why you think it’s only the UMC acting as flunky though, there’s lots of MC and WC flunkies too
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/18 11:22 PM
0

It’s the upper class that does all that stuff, at least they are the ones pulling the strings. The UMC is at best just taking direction from the UC and carrying out the UC plans (which the other classes do as well)
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/18 10:19 PM
1

Ime in that position you don’t have to pay for her drinks The driving and legwork I’m doing anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 08:00 PM

No he won’t pay for shit to get laid, he will hang out with her and at some point in the encounter sex will “just happen”
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 01:59 PM
2

Girl, 23 loves thing x (or even, is just interested in learning more about thing x) Meets guy, 30, is an expert in thing x and kinda ugly but fit AF You don’t think this guy can seal this deal ?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 05:02 AM
2

You don’t believe that women care if a man is interesting? If he understands and knows his way around the parts of the world that she considers interesting? GTFO Also just because people ascribe good traits to hot people doesn’t entail that only people who are hot can demonstrate those traits
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 04:25 AM
2

I can’t believe you think all that someone can have to offer is physical appearance or money Like do you understand what it means to be an interesting person or an inspiring person? Like someone that other people respect and like? Do you think that only super physically attractive people can be that?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 04:02 AM
2

Do you think that only physically attractive men can learn that skill? You’d be dead wrong, lots of people figure it out
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 03:13 AM
1

Disagree This is sort of a crass term for it, i don’t buy into the frame that it implies, but, for arguments sake, do you believe that “emotional manipulation” is a thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 02:55 AM
2

It’s not about how hot you are, it’s about how you make her feel
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 02:49 AM
1

lol no nobody can replace me Look, if a girl threatens to kill herself if her man leaves, do you think she views him as replaceable? What if she skulks around her ex and drops all these “let’s make it work” hints, even after she’s been wth other guys and tried to get in with her life? Would you consider that woman as having fully replaced that man? IMO certain men make an impact on women, those sorts of men are NOT easily replaceable. If you figure out how to be that kind of man women really can…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 02:18 AM
2

Hm yeah. Although I mean, as you’ve argued here, you can never legally enforce that commitment, like even if we’re characterizing commitment as a term of the marriage bargain, you can’t ever require the other party to do that, the best you can get is some sort of compensation like alimony or a lopsided divorce
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 02:15 AM
2

She can replace me with another random dude, but she can’t replace me. I bring more value than just being a random dude. Also I don’t buy her stuff to obtain her company. I offer to let her tag along on adventures I’m doing either way. Do you really not understand that concept? It’s not that difficult
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 01:39 AM
1

It goes both ways tho, she is also trading for my presence, to come along on my fun hiking trip etc. I don’t see how you think any of this is an additional cost to me since I’m going hiking anyway Basically the only additional cost to me is the trivial amount of time I’ll spend texting her to see if she wants to come
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 12:29 AM
2

Any agreement to be in a committed relationship is a “contract where commitment is one of the terms” Also I’m not intending to boil marriage down to just a financna commitment, I’m intending to describe one aspect of it, my apologizes if that came across wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 12:23 AM
1

Y’all define “in one way or another” so broadly as to make it meaningless, like, if I enjoy hiking, and I’m going hiking anyway, it costs me nothing additional to take a girl and I’ll enjoy her company, sure I’ve provided an experience and transport to get there but it’s at no extra cost to me, effectively I’ve “grown the pie” in that situation rather than dividing it
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/17 12:21 AM
1

Maybe there’s some kind of baseline below which you’re doomed but frankly I’m a 5 at best and When I was “in the game” so to speak I also was a little fat
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 11:50 PM
1

I think some girls just put it on there to see if anyone actually offers it. I’ve matched girls who wrote “looking for sugar daddy” and the issue never came up
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 11:47 PM
5

Nobody can ever guarantee their heart won’t get broken, you’re setting an impossible standard and writing anything less off as being nothing at all
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 11:45 PM
2

Yea exactly
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 10:10 PM
4

It Guarantees a financial commitment
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 10:09 PM
2

Yeah for reals, I did not know that people were taking that stuff seriously. My approach has always been to just sort of ignore minor setbacks when dating, just don’t even acknowledge it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 09:56 PM
2

I really don’t get how anyone could find bars and clubs easier than tinder, tinder is so retardedly easy
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 09:54 PM
1

I clearly specified “don’t break the law”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 08:06 PM
1

lol how can being forward possibly get you accused of rape, JFC HOW COULD ANYONE CONSTRUE “BE FORWARD” as “GO FORTH AND RAPE”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 08:04 PM
1

yeah good point
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 06:58 AM
0

Yeah I see what you mean. This could definitely get someone excluded from smaller circles. Still tho I think in time most people learn how much is appropriate and how much isn’t, at that point they’vs got it
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 06:54 AM
1

Yeah I live in a city so I don’t really understand how to blow out your reputation like literally in the whole city by just acting a little weird. Can that really happen?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 06:53 AM
1

would it really just make people avoid you though? I feel like it’s not too hard to just fall in with some group of friends if you spend your time actually going out and being social, they forgive your faults
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 06:25 AM
1

How can you do something that weird Or if you are that weird, go practice in another city until you figure out how you’re so weird
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 06:23 AM
1

I just don’t get it tho, it seems like for me, if i did something weird and saw the vibe change after, I’d figure out what I did wrong and then get better at it I guess I see what you’re saying tho, some people are so awkward that they’re gonna do stuff so weird that they then have a bad reputation. Still tho it’s tough for me to imagine being so weird you can’t even go hang out at some shitty dive (Without breaking the law)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 05:40 AM
1

Yeah ok i see and I agree, this cmv is mostly directed at people who say “it’s impossible to get laid,” imo they could get laid a lot if they’d just be more forward and it would certainly be an improvement from a sexless life
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 05:11 AM
1

I don’t see the connection to the OP can you please flesh it out a bit?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 04:56 AM
0

Wouldn’t someone just learn that in time though? Like if they kept at it they’d have to realize where their mistakes are and improve upon them right?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 04:55 AM
0

Like uh, too forward? Erring on the side of crossing the line Also like, the associated shitty lifestyle, drinking too much, drugs, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 04:53 AM
5

No it gives you greater access to literally everything, it lets you enforce your will, women are just a small part of that
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/17 04:40 AM
3

++ exactly, OP apparently thinks power is only about getting women
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/17 04:39 AM
1

How can you possibly think that men would not vie for power absent women’s selection for it? I’d still prefer to be in a position of societal command and strength even if it didn’t improve my chances with women. Do you not believe that power and status bring any benefits other than women?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/17 04:35 AM
1

Yup I agree , I feel a little dishonest playing those games but ultimately people prefer it
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 11:22 PM

i dunno for me part of the problem is that it’s a game. If I come right out and say that I’m looking for a relationship, I’ll get less interest and attraction than if i keep it more casual, and make her ask for it
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 10:56 PM

I mean, pictures of the hobby or life goal are ideal right Show don’t tell
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 10:51 PM

Yeah i always read those like, “hey everyone, i keep falling for type x y and z, and while i say I don’t want that, on some level I really do”

The issue isn’t whether the average person does it, the issue is whether it’s possible if you seek it out Also 18-21 is much different from 21-25, at least in the US ALSO THERE IS A THING CALLED TINDER
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 09:57 PM
6

Yeah don’t you think it’s sort of crude? It’s like talking about how smart you are or how much money you make. Also it depends how you go about it, speaking about it in general terms isn’t as bad as going into extreme detail
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 09:45 PM

Dang I wish I knew enough about matrix movies to understand this
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 09:38 PM

Women are much more shallow online than offline. I disagree, it’s just a different standard. I kill it online but I have mediocre results and have to take a lot of rejections irl
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 09:37 PM
14

I think it’s kinda crude to explicitly put your physical preferences on your tinder profile, like, just swipe left and move on if you don’t like someone. A good profile won’t reference any of that stuff, it will assume it and speak to other qualities which can’t be conveyed as well through photos. The best profiles are those made by people who can read personality and expression through pictures, can do so themselves, and maybe have one or two lines like a joke or a quote
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 08:57 PM

I mean technically they “invest” and make lots of money off their investments but LOL to see how these schemes actually work, it’s often just dumb luck
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 06:18 PM
2

Successful people in business are confident, charismatic, and charming. LOL yeah right maybe this is an occupational hazard (I’m a lawyer) but it seems to me that the vast majority of wealthy people I encounter are huge assholes who inherited lots of money and basically just play a bunch of games with it
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 06:15 PM
1

If you already have money, then making money is trivially easy, this is called “capitalism”
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 06:10 PM
2

Depends what age you’re talking about but when I was last single at 31 it was far and away the best I’d done in my whole life on the SMP. Late 20s and early 30s was like cheat mode compared to how hard I worked to get laid in my early 20s
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 04:16 PM
1

Why does that conclusion follow from that premise We can kill lots of living things
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/17 04:05 PM
2

For me: I push myself harder, I take of myself better, I constantly face pressure and adapt and overcome when I’m single Let’s face it, you don’t face the same discomfort and emotional instability when you’re coupled, you don’t engage with that daily and push yourself to conquer it. Single people have a better ability to take things day to day. Being single makes you stronger in a way, but it also makes you less stable, less suited towards settling down, and (maybe) it makes you less adapted tow…

Didn’t see that this was a q4w when i read it, and all I could think was, “i wonder how many people will kill the man.” I guess a woman doesn’t really have any reason to do that tho
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/17 12:29 AM

Ya! My dad did this, he converted from his Dutch Protestant religion (which he personally doesn’t care about too deeply) in order to marry my catholic mom. To me it makes sense what he did—he sees both religions as being pretty similar, he feels like he can be a good man and be true to himself in either one, he felt like his kids will be raised with good values in the Catholic Church That said, that sounds leaps and bounds away from converting to a foreign religion like Islam with the hope of me…

I would like it if it were not actually as much work as it is in real life. As things are, keeping all those women happy is a pain in the ass, and while I’m glad to have done it for a while it’s not something I care to actually pursue for my life
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/17 04:47 PM

Sometimes I get a little flippant with this subject matter LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/17 04:28 AM

Oh please Mom can’t share a room? I share a room.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/17 03:57 AM

I have no idea. It’s strange to me. Dating at this age is fish in a barrel compared to my early 20s, and yes, even with early 20s women
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/17 01:06 AM

Three lines into this post, I’ve already got my popcorn out for the comments section

Oh now a child needs a whole other room la ti da

Ew processed food
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 10:40 PM

Yeah ours is mostly like 21-35 misc hipster, dive, redneck, gay bars and then others for 25-60 misc professional people who want a respectable drinking establishment Not exactly but you get the idea I’m sure. Yay local culture
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 10:30 PM
2

I’m not advocaing for this, I’m saying it’s what would be done if it were all about the child rather than being OK with the parent using the money on thenself Anyway why would a child need to eat half your groceries? If a little kid were eating as much as me he’s gonna get fat AF
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 10:28 PM
1

I’m 33 and when I go bar crawling about 1/2 the bars in the usual routine have a crowd of 21-35, about 1/2 half a crowd like 25-60
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 10:23 PM
4

That’s the problem you live in a town with two colleges, so your idea of what dating is like is influenced by the college scene
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 08:35 PM
2

Yeah exactly, she can get that anywhere, drinks and free shit are not the ideal thing to have to offer.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 07:18 PM

Don’t buy shit for women you haven’t banged yet problem solved
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:39 PM

I don’t think she would choose not to sleep with him tho, she’s “getting an abortion” anyway so who cares if he doesn’t wanna be a dad. Yeah it would be on her for sure tho
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:38 PM
3

21 year old is in your bar scene , 18 year old typically isn’t
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:36 PM
6

Oh please I’ve done this sort of thing for clients before, it isn’t that hard, just keep your receipts oh wow soooo difficult Also I’m not advocaing for this, I’m saying it’s what would be done if it were all about the child rather than being OK with the parent using the money on thenself
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:34 PM
1

No I agree it’s all hypothetical, I just wanted to flesh out your position a bit and see what you’d make of this twist Frankly I think you’d end up with a lot of angry women, the ones who were “going to abort anyway” probably would say “oh ok yeah paternity surrender who cares,” but then if they change their mind once pregnant, oh wow that’s gonna be bad news
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:32 PM
5

I’m not talking about 18 year olds tho, I said early 20s, generally it’s not hard to date women 21-25 in your early 30s. It’s all one big bar crowd at that age
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:28 PM
7

it’s exactly what they do in other situations where people are entrusted with money to care for others, some how they make it work there
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:27 PM
1

an opt out period he can elect to enforce PRIOR to the sex being had, I’ve heard lots of stories of women saying “oh of course I’d get an abortion” before sex, and changing their tune when pregnant. Would you make that enforceable as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:08 PM
7

No it’s not all about the child, if it were all about the child, we would require an accounting of the money as we do in nearly every other situation where someone is entrusted with money to care for another
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 06:04 PM
9

This is one place where our blue pill folks repeatedly get it wrong about dating dynamics. Sure, it’s not like 100% of young women are willing to date older guys, but “Minuscule” is really stretching it. There’s no shortage of these women. Lots of guys in their 30s have no problem finding early 20s women to date. Lots of guys do better with early 20s women at 30 than they did at 23.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 05:59 PM
1

Uhhhh so you don’t date the ones your own age?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/17 05:39 PM
1

Oh , well that sucks
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/17 08:32 PM
2

I’d take it a step further and say that many women just want a piece of the status, or to be around it, even if there really isn’t a tangible benefit for them like a job Example: when I was younger I had a job as a columnist in a small local arts weekly. Suddenly these women were coming up to me and giving me anime eyes and giggling and “omg aren’t you so and so!” Women go crazy for guys with even a bit of status, I can only imagine how they must act around guys who are actually at the top
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/17 05:51 PM
1

What is SST
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/17 05:39 PM
3

No my instinct is to take it in the opposite direction, shoot large amounts of T, and become a superhuman monster Not that I’ve done that, but I can relate to that urge far more than to try to be a woman. The latter is just repulsive and gross tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/17 05:29 PM
2

If i see somebody I’m interested in, I should see if they’re interested too. I want no part in the cold and disconnected society you seem to be promoting
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/17 08:44 PM
2

It’s both, the two things are at odds with each other but they’re both there, to some degree they need to go with the party, and to some degree they need to use their position to shape the party into what they want it to be And if it gets too bad you can always walk
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/17 02:23 AM
3

Yeah I’m relatively familiar with that drama but i don’t connect itbup with what you’re saying. Bernie had populist appeal and Hilary didn’t, I don’t understand why you think that all the Bernie voters were just going to fall in line behind Hilary. Most of the party insiders DID fall in line behind Hillary even though they certain were not going to do so for Bernie and they did everything they could to keep him out
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/17 01:03 AM
3

There are a lot of unexplained assumptions here that you’re assuming other people are on board with, and i don’t believe they are
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/17 12:52 AM
3

What are you talking about? Do you understand the purpose of a primary election? Do you think I’m obligated to vote for my party no matter what? Your whole analysis of these issues comes across very strange to me
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/17 11:44 PM
1

uh you didn’t respond to what I said really in any way. Anyway first of all it’s arguable that she’s the most experienced and even if she were who cares, why should I vote based on experience? I’d rather have a candidate with moderate experience and good policies than a candidate with superior experience and policies I don’t like
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/17 10:50 PM
2

But it's the whole idea that a sizable portion of dems are willing to oust or oppose a female candidate . I don’t understand what you’re saying, Democrats are just supposed to line up behind ANY female candidate?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/17 10:41 PM

lol this is like half my friends
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/17 07:06 PM

This really says a lot about you, apparently you think feminine=retarded and basic, but for some reason your masculine woman is not equally retarded and basic. The corresponding masculine caricature would be like “loves wrestling and fishing and football. barely graduated high school, scraping by with a C Average, works odd jobs fixing people’s shit and makes $25000 a year. Primary desire is to get laid a bunch and drink every day. Is fat but strong, sometimes lifts weights but mostly works low …

I’m surprised even with RSD you didn’t find the how to flirt stuff, that was what i got the most of out of their materials, the “rah rah” positivity stuff did help me too tho, I think that sorta stuff is good for the soul especially when you’re working on yourself and exposing yourself to lots of self doubt Ultimately if you look at yourself critically you can decide if you’re being fun or not, for a guy like me who is super logical and super serious most of the time, it’s night and day Yeah it’…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/17 06:08 PM
1

I don’t know what pickup materials you were reading but RSD has all sorts of different types of flirting which they’d first give a category (eg “cold reads”) and then they’d give 2-3 examples, and they’d say “ok now you go out there and make up your own.” Also I have a friend who is a pickup coach, he’d give me tips sometimes, the one I remember best is “make it fun”. He would also point me I. The direction of good materials to read/watch Yeah imo tho what I really wanted was tactics not strateg…

I’ll check it out
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/17 01:33 AM

Yeah i agree with a lot of what you’re saying, for me the pickup community was a good place to work on my flirting and humor, but I know what you mean, there’s a lot of garbage there
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/17 09:41 PM
2

Nah if you have poor social skills improving those will help you get laid. It all depends what the hole in your game is
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/17 01:48 AM
1

I mean you didn’t find anything that worked for you? For me when I did pick up I found lots of strategies that didn’t work and i found a few “go to” games, types of humor, and types of flirting that fit my style and came really natural to me. I too could probably make a big long list of tactics I didn’t like but I’m not focused on those, I’m focused on the ones that did work
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/17 01:47 AM
3

She gossips to people, she tries to convince people that joe is a bad guy, she tries to ruin Joe’s reputation if she can Maybe some people listen to her and think badly of joe? Yeah I am not sure I can pin down any direct concrete ramifications here either, however as with any sort of reputational damage there may be more remote effects like losing friends or losing potential business
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 06:55 PM
5

I always assumed they were talking about social and reputational damage, being viewed as a bad person or socially excluded, gossiped about, etc Another possibility is that they really drank the Kool aid during HR training and thought “wow these workplace rules seem to be a great basis for a personal code of conduct, I’ll adopt this in my own life, and hold myself and others to these standards.”
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 06:37 PM
1

I don’t know maybe I’m off base here but the technical definition of battery always seemed pretty close to lots of socially acceptable and normal touching. Don’t people make physical contact with others without their consent all the time? Maybe I’m off base here I dunno, Crim law was literally my worst class
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 06:13 PM
2

Yeah that’s definitely not our policy, ours prohibits hostile workplace envrionment and quod pro quo harassment. It explicitly allows dating at work and our training even addresses it. Honestly it isn’t that hard to create a defensible policy that still allows people to date their coworkers. The biggest thing is respecting someone’s no
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 05:33 PM
1

Yes there are all sorts of touching without consent that occur in normal life and especially the SMP that are technically battery. Now right now you could never prosecute these or at least you’d never convict them, but if the social norms about touching changed a bit, maybe? Isn’t far from that to assault then. And if you do it while saying, “hay girl” now we’ve got a hate crime, clearly motivated by misogyny
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 02:28 PM
1

I was thinking of something like hate speech laws expanding to include what is generally an acceptable approach right now. Or maybe an expansion of “assault,” maybe people will not want to feel like they’ll ever be touched ever
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 06:24 AM
4

Yeah I personally am not a fan of at work relationships but it seems like a lot of people rely on that. It seems harsh just to rule it out for them completely
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 05:48 AM
2

What are you basing that on? I think social changes often happen quickly, at least in some situations. The law can follow pretty quickly, look at gay marriage. Didn’t some stages of women’s rights undergo massive changes in like 10-15 years?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 05:44 AM
4

Uh yeah but that’s not what I’m responding to What I’m respnding to is saying that as a rule pursuit at work is so awful that nobody can bear it Also if you want to talk about franken, none of that occurred in anything resembling a typical 9-5 workplace
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 05:24 AM
1

Yeah I’m not sure I’m gonna mull this over
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 02:31 AM
3

I really enjoy your critique of people who think campus policies or workplace policies are anything like law. My concern tho is that so many people will be so used to these sorts of policies that they’ll eventually start trying to make the law reflect them
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 02:29 AM
5

Look at the BuzzFeed guys? They tested mid 200s? Well that explains a lot
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 02:24 AM

why is politely shutting someone down so difficult , I’ve done it plenty of times and I didn’t go run to HR to do it for me. These people need to learn a bit of self reliance
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/17 02:23 AM
9

No it’s not obvious at all Fuck buddy is also known as a “friend with benefits” and lots of people have affectionate friendships with people they also bang, and yet these still do not rise to the level of being lovers or a couple
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/17 03:47 PM
2

Ok sure you see it that way but it is not generally considered excessive by most people in the West
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 06:32 PM

An element of greed is that it is excessive, there are all sorts of situations where people want something for themselves but it isn’t greedy in the least
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 06:17 PM

I’m sorta involved in my local rave scene and my friends tell me about it. Easiest way to get into that is go to a massive festival and make friends there , or to find local bars with edm nights

I just finished It can’t happen here by Sinclair Lewis It was a great book, written in the 30s, it has a great handle on the American interplay of social class and politics. The author really captures the differences between bourgeois liberals and the prole right wing. Hell it even has a laborer tough guy fascist named “Shad” LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 02:41 AM
1

lol dang , I thought with our crazy stem crowd and our incels we’d surely have some bonafide sport haters. You see a lot of it on Reddit Anyway, yeah I agree With your point here. I think some people especially still in school get too caught up in exactly how hard any given work will actually be, and don’t realize that sometimes you just need to be cool and likeable with minimum qualifications to get a job. To be fair like you said, lots of other things can make good fit too, I mean for example …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 02:29 AM

I often do them when I have a rough idea but I know some of the finer details are off and I want people to correct me I’m sure other people here do the same
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 02:24 AM

Damn that sucks. Still for most people, they’ll fall in the nice happy middle and won’t have that experience

lol thought this was a CMV at first and was really pumped to see the first level comments Anyway yeah, I totally agree. I’m an uber nerd but I did play sports as a kid and through high school and I really feel like it made me a lot more normal in many ways, or at least better able to relate to normal people. There’s something in your head that really bonds body and mind in competition and sport, it’s different from lots of our other modern endeavors, and it’s important to our nature as physical …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 02:06 AM

lol plus she’s probably all super entitled and bad fit for any workplace , which is the real problem
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 01:09 AM

I hate when people get whipped up into an emotional frenzy with topics like this, it’s impossible to have any discussion, people just get Crazy
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/17 05:59 AM
2

Yeah I do care, however I’m okay with dating someone who’s just getting started in life , that’s not a problem for me
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/17 05:36 PM
2

But it’s not a liberal coastal metropolis ewwwww
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 11:20 PM
1

No it sounds like you don’t understand, you aren’t seriously asking for her phone, you’re only asking to set up the joke. You shouldn’t even let her answer
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 11:13 PM
1

No if she was still herself but somehow unsuccessful, I’d stay with her, I love her. What I’m telling you tho is she’s not the unsuccessful type, she is the type of person who conquers and overcomes difficulty If she wanted to be a hairstylist great. I’m not with her for the money and I do pretty wel myself, I could support us if I had to
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 09:01 PM
3

You’re asking whether I’d have stayed with her if she were a totally different person who wasn’t as great?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 08:33 PM
2

Then we’d make it work somehow. But really tho I’m confident in my own taste, I know that people out in the world will recognize her star quality. This isn’t the kind of girl who applies to hundreds of jobs and doesn’t get hired, she’s the kind of girl who is loved everywhere she goes
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 08:17 PM
12

Uh it’s not a lie When I started dating my girlfriend she was a retail cashier. Still tho I could tell she was driven and smart, and that she was going places. This year she’ll probably make a little less than me. I don’t want a woman “with a good job,” I want a woman who has the qualities that make a person successful
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 07:56 PM
1

ok if your CMV is “the path to happiness has more to it than chasing ass” ok yeah I agree wth you
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 07:01 PM
1

How is your view not challenge by the fact that lots of dudes report approaching women and having success with it Seriously go join one of the Facebook pickup groups if you wanna see what these dudes look like, they’re more nerdy than chaddy
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 05:45 PM
2

It’s an icebreaker, it’s a LINE, it’s a JOKE. It isn’t meant to be taken seriously
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 05:23 PM
2

It’s all about how he delivers it. Sometimes if you come in cheesy and just own how cheesy you’re being, it works You’re making a common mistake, lots of guys think you have to be mr. smooth to get somewhere with women, that’s not true at all, lots of guys can make goofy-dorky humor work
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 05:12 PM
1

lol why not, it’s funny
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 03:13 PM
1

yeah I dunno I live in a blue collar type place so that’s what life is like here, lots of these tradesmen/laborer guys are doing well.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 04:51 AM
1

Read my comment again You are literally only looking at a tiny fraction of the blue collar world
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 04:43 AM
3

I’ve seen it. Usually kinda disgruntled women looking for someone to blame. Offhand theories — women speak differently to women than men , or maybe it’s a different type of woman who does this than you associate with.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 03:25 AM

Dunno , I don’t really care personally, but it does happen
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 03:21 AM

30-something women
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 01:41 AM

You used the imperative, which implies “you.” If that’s not how you meant it, well, I’m sorry for my tone. I don’t think most machiavellians do it in a cynical way, it’s just how our minds work. It doesn’t even necessarily entail asshole behavior, often times it’s just being mindful of power dynamics, the asshole behavior really comes into it more with narcissism and psychopathy
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 01:34 AM
2

Stop with that ad hom bullshit. Why are you assuming this has anything to do with what I personally want to emulate or my own personal values
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/17 12:48 AM

yes but you’re only looking at one type of resource extraction, which itself is only one sort of blue collar labor type job. Sure I admit that this stuff is going downhill and it isn’t what it used to be, still it’s not dead so if you write it off completely you’re missing huge swathes is the country
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/17 07:40 PM
1

I mean it’s atill a lot of people, the us is 300+ million people and if you want to talk about total, how many people are in extreme resource extraction type jobs and make lots of money? It’s literally millions of people, many many cities and communities where it’s the norm. You can’t completely write it off bc that isn’t what happens in your locality (or at least you shouldn’t do so and consider your view comprehensive)
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/17 06:10 PM
1

Yeah that makes sense, i agree mostly, there are probably a few exceptions, for example off hand I can think of this one—a lot of the older lawyers I know have wives who’ve never worked.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/17 06:07 PM
1

His kids may be, depending how he raises them. Depending on the friends he and his wife make over the years, he might start to pick up some UMC values and culture. But yeah he’ll probably always be prole-minded
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/17 04:54 PM
1

Go look at the bakken oil field in North Dakota, all those guys working there make $100,000/year easily however their culture and values will be markedly different from that of say teachers in San Francisco making the same annual salary. Is this concept that foreign to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/17 04:47 PM
2

I’m not talking about even just the top 1% of the 1%. This is everywhere. From the guy running one block, to the guy running a nation, it’s at all levels. Wherever there’s power
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/17 06:15 AM
2

Machiavelianism is not mental illness , it’s how normal people in powerful places behave
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/17 04:39 AM
1

What do you mean “bus shelter avoidance” I too am a big nerd but in scary places I just try to look a little crazy, LOL, hey it works
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/17 06:26 AM
1

Well I disagree I have a lot of nuance and subtlety to my beliefs but this place is purple pill DEBATE which means I make ARGUMENTS here, that’s the whole point of debate
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/17 05:05 AM
1

That’s a useful illustration thanks
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 05:10 PM
1

Yeah I thought the saying was suggesting that material conditions don’t affect attraction, I read it too broadly
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 05:05 PM
6

I disagree, in my experience women are much better able to bear going a while without sex and they don’t generally relate to the compulsive and constant need for it
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 05:17 AM
2

Yeah a lot of people who aren’t too deeply involved in those scenes or those labels just call any sort of non-monogamous relationship “poly”
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 04:53 AM
1

LOL ok good sometimes I’m not sure if I’m looking like this https://goo.gl/images/bqjnym
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 04:23 AM
2

How about this Do you see an imbalance in social skills as a power imbalance
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 04:21 AM
4

Yeah so to tie OP in with my post a little more clearly, I think that what OP is observing here is a result of how men are thirsty. He’s basically just looking at thirst side only. So of course women aren’t seeking out randoms 3 nights a week or prostitutes, that’s what thirsty ass men who have a physical compulsion for sex do
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 04:19 AM
2

Yeah agreed only in an analytical context , that’s not how most people would generally think about it
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 04:09 AM
5

I think my point applies to both casual and committed sex
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 04:08 AM
1

Ya that makes sense , OK I think I have a better understanding on it now
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 04:06 AM
5

I believe that women enjoy good sex much more on an emotional level, but they’re nowhere near as thirsty and physically driven to constantly have it. You really have to distinguish these two sides of “how much does someone value sex” in order to understand how men and women value sex differently
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 03:41 AM
1

Demonstration of value is not a power balance issue? How is it anything but
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 03:34 AM
1

Isn’t it a negotiation in the sense that you can change material conditions in order to improve attractiveness? In other words: “I’ll do x y and z, I’ll be more attractive, you wait and see.” “Ok, do it.” Flash to 3 months later and now more attractive. At that point she’s like “oh yeah I see it, nice.” How is that not a negotiation
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 03:32 AM
1

Ok so “attraction is not negotiable” is not a denial of the fact that material conditions Influence attraction?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 03:26 AM
2

Ok that helps
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 01:29 AM
2

Uh it most likely does tho? I got my girlfriend lifting and eating better and her body got way better
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 01:27 AM
1

Ok that makes sense, Thank you
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 12:49 AM
1

Can’t you tell someone though, “if you did X, I’d find you more attractive”? Like, “if you lift 3x a week and start running, and dial in your diet, I’ll find you more attractive,” I mean to me that sounds like it absolutely would improve most people’s attractiveness
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 12:43 AM
6

Ok so essentially — you can’t give reasons or persuade someone to be attracted so you (but on the other hand you can become more attractive by doing attractive things that attract them). Is that right?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 12:40 AM
1

Hmmmm yeah that does make sense
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/17 11:58 PM
1

Are you saying that in that sort of situation, women would just be giving duty sex and playing nice? (As opposed to actually being attracted)
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/17 11:51 PM
1

I don’t understand what you’re disagreeing with Do you believe that people don’t harden their positions here for the sake of argument
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/17 06:39 AM
2

Men have the burden of performance, which includes occasionally crossing the line. 🤷🏽‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/17 10:28 PM
1

High power men are usually more subtle than outright grabbing, they generally will try to leverage their power in other ways
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/17 10:16 PM
2

Also this is a debate sub which encourages making harder points, less subtlety, saying slightly outrageous things to emphasize the point you’re making. Lots of people here do that, even though in real life they see shades of gray
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/17 10:06 PM
1

Yeah I’m not sure why OP would jump right to the rare INTJ and ignore the super common ESTJ
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/17 09:17 PM
1

lol yup when I was a kid I played MMOs and I had a couple female characters and dudes would literally show me all the zones and give me all sorts of free shit, when I played male characters I just sorta had to figure it out myself
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/17 09:07 PM
1

It’s like having a dog, if you want to keep one sometimes you have to deal with it’s shit
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/17 07:25 PM
1

Uh, men will fuck and “own” a woman that they hate. Liking a woman and keeping her to fuck are two completely different things
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/17 07:14 PM
1

Ya I’m not saying it as anything personal to you, I hope t didn’t come across that way
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 11:50 PM
2

For every girl who thinks older guys are floundering and unsuccessful, there’s another one who gets all giddy and is like “OMG YOU HAVE A JOB?!? WOW!” OP should not read your post as how all women view this, that will lead him astray
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 11:36 PM
1

I agree with you about the appeal of mbti’s simplistic categories, it’s a tendency I have to fight myself on when I look at it. For me I try to indulge it a bit while also keeping perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 05:05 PM
6

So as a result you think it’s impossible to say whether someone prefers introverted or extroverted styles?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 04:29 PM
1

I’ve never consciously sought it out but I’m an INTJ man and I keep ending up with ENFP women. They’re often very impressed with me, who doesn’t love that
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 04:06 PM
3

Happy thanksgiving PPD! :)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 03:55 PM
2

Sounds like you know what to work on right now then
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 07:33 AM
1

It all depends what your issues are. Some people need to hold back socially and get their shit together. Some people need to go out and practice social skills
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 07:30 AM
3

lol you’re 27 Bro you can date girls in their early 20s for the next 5 years no problem. That’s plenty of time to meet women. The late 20s and early 30s are great years for dating. You will do better if you move out on your own to a cool place tho.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/17 07:26 AM
1

I used to like women who were a bit of a challenge, like someone who I’ve got to put in her place a little bit. That sort of thing was kinda fun when I was single, the whole “game” of dating and hookups. That said I wouldn’t pick that sort of woman as a long term partner
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/17 01:51 AM
3

Less so than men especially when their partner makes them feel satisfied
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/17 04:59 AM
3

Men’s instinct is typically polygamy rather than hypergamy. Hypergamy, at least when satisfied, is monogamous, such as “I only have eyes for you.” Men typically have a wandering eye even when they’re satisfied at home and even when they don’t plan to act on it
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/17 04:44 AM
1

I don’t mean to but I always sorta end up with oddly similar women
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/17 03:42 AM
3

The current situation in the US is a long way from the sort of open economic competition which underlies your posts in this thread. The US is basically super wealthy people paying congress to entrench their position. In a system like that people at the bottom get hopeless, I’d prefer to avoid that
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/17 11:23 PM
1

Good social policy accounts for people’s shitty nature and helps them succeed regardless Bad social policy exploits it and fucks them over for the benefit of a few This sorta thing https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/08/07/opinion/leonhardt-income-inequality.html?_r=0
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/17 10:57 PM
1

Not really anyway to verify this since I don’t know you well enough to share pics , but I can assure you, I’m a skinny, weak jawed dork.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/17 10:48 PM
2

Do guys really swipe right in ALL women on tinder? Some of those women are downright nasty. Like maybe 20% of them
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/17 04:20 AM
0

Yeah I’m not even looking that far into it, I’m just saying it’s possible
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 07:43 PM
1

Well I guess a rainmaker is just anybody who brings lots of business into the firm so it’s not necessarily litigation or transactional. I do associate it more with business/transaction than litigation, maybe that’s just me
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 07:11 PM
1

It seems like you’re coming at it from a place of judgment rather than really considering whether it’s possible
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 07:08 PM
2

Yeah maybe I should have clarified. He used the gym to shower and get cleaned up (and also to stay fit I guess)
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 07:07 PM
10

I’m blown away by the comments here thinking that this must be fake. It’s a reminder that to some people, this sort of thing is just completely outside their reality, it’s like they don’t see this side of the world
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 06:24 AM
2

I have a friend who did this for awhile as a personal challenge. Basically just had a gym membership and stayed with girls he met. He seemed to have fun with it LOL Also the guy who did this is a bigger nerd than me , for those of you that think it’s all about looks/genetics
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 06:18 AM
1

Yeah maybe not in house lawyer, I meant more like rainmakers. I don’t know if that’s even legal work tho
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 06:15 AM
1

I think you’re looking at that from your own litigator perspective. Likewise I view high end dealmaker type lawyers as higher status than litigators
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 06:03 AM
1

yeah I agree, there are lots of people who are kings (or nobility) of their little petty kingdoms but they’re nothing in a global scale. Still in their own world they’ve got status
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 05:57 AM
2

Yeah that makes sense. It’s all relative; that’s really my point here, that there are lots of people who aren’t king of everything but they still have high status in many situations they encounter
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 03:28 AM
1

Seems like a lot of your “low status” people are average to above average in status
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/17 01:05 AM
1

uhhh you just picked a bunch of fitness models with bad waist-to-hip ratios. Another person could just as easily find a bunch of fitness models with good waist to hip ratios
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/17 10:42 PM
3

I don’t care about N-count other than to want someone roughly similar to me. I don’t want a Virgin and i don’t want a “huge slut”. Although to be fair , what I consider roughly similar to me might be a “huge slut” to a lot of people on Reddit
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/17 05:25 AM
10

CMV many women act highly interested around powerful men
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/17 09:49 PM
1

The more important issue is the overall number of sexual partners and how it affects marriage stability…or we just going to ignore the link between the two? This issue is really beyond the scope of my OP. Im really only trying to flesh out the differences in the way men and women do casual sex (if any)
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/17 04:52 PM
1

Read it and weep https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nsfg/key_statistics/n.htm
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/17 05:57 AM
1

Data shows the average woman has like 10 sex partners in her life That is not consistent with spinning plates for any significant amount of time
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/17 04:37 PM
6

A couple different thoughts here: Do you think that ALL humor is simply people being giddy around who they’re attracted to? Surely it’s not. Do you believe that high social standing is attractive? What about social skills? Isn’t humor a demonstration of that?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/17 12:37 PM
2

I don’t think it’s strictly physical but guys go crazy. You’ve seen the videos of all the thirsty shit guys do, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 07:10 AM
0

Yeah but are they calling on it all the time? I don’t think most girls really are , maybe a few
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 06:56 AM
2

lots of girls will maybe call one fwb now and then, or have on off boyfriends, but few will actively run a bunch of them all the time
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 06:09 AM
1

I don’t know. It just doesn’t seem like women seek that sort of thing out as much as guys do.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 06:04 AM
1

Ok but i mean how far do you think girls are committing to that? Like going on a bunch of “dates” (euphemistically) every week?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 05:41 AM
5

I think girls just aren’t driven to do those logistics to the same degree. To get all ready to go out, to go to some bar and meet a guy whos really not that interested in her, to have a bunch of relationships which basically amount to serial ONS. I don’t think women really want that like guys do. Even girls who are open to casual sex mostly want it to turn into something more than a string of ONS
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 05:36 AM
5

I think most of the reds here are married or in serious relationships tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 04:34 AM
3

I don’t believe that’s how that works, or at least, it isn’t a no contact order in the traditional sense, meaning that it isn’t enforced by law enforcement. It’s only a disciplinary matter with the uni
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 01:56 AM
2

Some of these people aren’t a part of that world tho. Louis CK in 2002 wasn’t really a big name
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 01:53 AM
3

How does a school have authority to issue a no-contact order , I think is the question
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 01:51 AM
1

USC is a private school
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 01:50 AM
3

These guys identify as mgtow and they say the subreddit is bullshit
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 01:49 AM
4

I don’t judge mgtow off the Reddit bc it has the same problem as TRP, it’s infested with incels. I judge it off the mgtow guys I know IRL who swear off serious relationships, not women in general
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 12:58 AM
3

Ya sure , no argument here
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 12:31 AM
3

Yeah my point is just that someone does care: the girls that MGTOW guys date usually give them a bunch of shit for not making it serious
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 12:27 AM
2

I think it’s a big difference between women who are generally saying “woe is me guys wont commit” and spouting it to the world, and women who personally date a guy who they want to commit but he won’t. I don’t think the latter situation is really uncommon at all I disagree that “most” women who are willi to have sex without commitment are spinning guys of their own. Very very very many women will bang without commitment. I really don’t think most of them are going to invest the sort of time and …
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 12:26 AM
7

That’s not true at all, women do care when a guy will bang them but won’t commit to them
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/17 12:14 AM
1

There are some recourses tho, for example if the schools investigation isn’t done correctly, if it didn’t follow its own policies, etc, there may be legal recourse
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 11:01 PM
7

USC gonna get their asses sued is my opinion Though to be fair I’m speculating, I have no idea what the relevant laws and policies require, only that it sounds intuitively likely that this isn’t it
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 10:44 PM
6

The highest value men can do both. They know when to cooperate and they know when to dominate, and they’re adept at both.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 06:03 AM
2

LOL yeah like I said, I’ve done the late night round up, I hear ya
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 04:26 AM
0

Yeah I don’t know what’s happening, people are so easily offended now At least I have the relief that it isn’t like that when I go out into the real world. At least not totally like that
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 03:41 AM
3

Yeah his comedy always did have a sort of a weird vibe to it. When comedians pull these jokes about being extremely awkward sexually, it’s kinda cringe and hard for me to watch tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 03:34 AM
1

But do you think it’s abusive just bc there’s an imbalance? Bc he has the power to play those games, all his actions are now tainted?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 03:00 AM
1

Yeah the accounts I read in the article were definitely weird and definitely creepy sounding. But it didn’t seem like the response was proportional, people in that thread wanted blood
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 02:54 AM
2

Alright Someday
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 02:41 AM
1

Do you think it’s this way anytime a guy has a huge power imbalance? Like what if he’s just straight up really rich? Or really handsome? Or valued in one specific way? Restated — is it just a “career” type power balance that triggers it, or is it anything that makes a person valuable to others?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 02:36 AM
1

Yeah I feel ya, I’ve rounded people up for the after party before That said, if it’s just two girls, that’s really something else
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/17 02:21 AM
1

Yeah that’s true , we really have no idea about him. I’m trying to put myself in that situation tho, I can’t personally imaging bringing someone back to my place with sexual intent without making it clear beforehand.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/17 11:04 PM
6

Yeah I didn’t expect the masturbation but when I have brought a woman back to my home or hotel room there has always been a clear sexual intent, shown by my body language, flirting, tone of voice, etc before we even got near the room. It’s obvious it’s going some place sexual right?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/17 10:38 PM
3

What smear campaign?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/17 10:26 PM
1

Ya I’m just trying to hear people out, so many people called it sexual assault in the comments, I figured maybe I missed something
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/17 10:10 PM
3

Yeah if you hang in lefty circles a lot of them attribute “dark side of human nature” traits to white men only. Very naive imo
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/17 04:30 PM
2

It’s more subtle than that though. According to the article, the things they do are less likely to even be perceived as wrong. People tolerate bad behavior from high status individuals where they wouldn’t allow it from lower status individuals
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/17 04:20 PM
1

Huh interesting I’ve never heard it used like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/17 02:09 AM
2

LOL I know what an insecurity is, there are things I’m insecure about and I’m aware of them. Intelligence isn’t one. Saying “well if you were suddenly much dumber you’d be insecure” seems like a really odd hypothetical way to show that I’m insecure now. Like obviously I’d be insecure if I suddenly got much dumber, or if my partner suddenly stopped thinking highly of me? I don’t see what that’s supposed to prove other than I would become insecure in a very specific scenario where my intelligence …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 10:23 PM
2

it’s not tho, that’s your opinion. From my perspective I’m content with how smart I am
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 09:37 PM
2

Ya I want somebody who’s really into me, like who really appreciates my talents and thinks I’m really awesome. I don’t have to be the smartest person ever for that tho, it doesn’t have to go to these completely delusional lengths. My counterexample with this is something that I’m not so good at but appreciate about her— her ability with arts and crafts. I’m not very good at art. Still I try my hand at it enough to recognize how awesome she is at it. I don’t think she’s the best artist ever to pi…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 08:41 PM
1

Did I say that? Sounds like you’re twisting my words
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 08:12 PM
1

It’s not an insecurity tho. I’m comfortable with my level of intelligence
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 07:59 PM
1

If you’re asking whether I’ve ever sat down and tested with her the answer is obviously no. Anyway like I said, she’s not dumb by any means she just has different types of intelligence than me, and she looks up to me for the kind that I have.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 05:53 PM
1

Thanks!
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 03:05 PM
1

That’s not really it for me, smart girls get so competitive with it, I just don’t wanna deal with that all the time. It’s better to have some variety in my life, like if her talents are in area that I appreciate but I’m not super good at— then I think that’s a better balance
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 06:39 AM
1

They’re out there
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 06:22 AM
2

She’s smart , it’s just not the same. I’m like “IQ smart” which is its own thing. She’s incredibly intelligent in other ways. We’re good compliments to each other, that’s what works for us. We both admire key aspects of each other’s way of engaging the world
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 06:19 AM
2

why does she need to be smarter than me to be interesting? My girl has interesting and fun hobbies, she’s good at arts and crafts, she always finds cool new music. She can engage with my ideas. She’s not stupid by any means, she just thinks I’m smarter than her and she appreciates that I think about things
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 01:36 AM
2

What is insecure about it? At the end of the day I just wanna come home to somebody who thinks I’m super amazing
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 11:26 PM
2

i Can’t really parse what you’re saying because it doesn’t jive with my understanding of hypergamy. Sure a guy wants the hottest girl he can get but he doesn’t really care how hot she is relative to himself and he also will want the second hottest girl he can get if he can arrange it. He doesn’t have the Same sort of “hypergamy” that can be satisfied and will feel to him like he’s got the best, when he’s got the best he’ll then want to add more to his collection
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 11:16 PM
7

Yeah that’s the point, men and women prioritize different things As a result men who are operating off their own intuition of what they personally like are gonna miss a big part of how women think I’m not assigning fault to anybody here or saying what should or should not be important to anybody

But you see lots of male doctors and lawyers paired with women with unremarkable jobs
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 10:53 PM
2

Yeah, but they are mostly my girlfriends’ friends or the wives/girlfriends of my friends. Other than that I have like one or two female friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 09:57 PM
7

yeah I’m happy with how smart I am My ideal partner is someone who is intelligent, but less intelligent than me, ie smart enough to understand my random thoughts yet dumb enough to think I’m absolutely brilliant
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 09:51 PM
1

I don’t know about that specifically but pregnant women who are already fit can keep up their fitness routines pretty far into the pregnancy. AFAIK hot yoga is not really that crazy intense
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 07:23 PM

Why would jerking off be a substitute for a woman’s company? It just provides a brief physical relief, it doesn’t replace a real woman Oh also, i do not agree with your description of women, they’re definitely not all cunts. Most have a decent heart, and every now and then you meet someone really amazing
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 05:28 PM
1

Thats my point, when I’m dating a woman i don’t just treat her like a generic person and imo that would be a terrible way to approach dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 05:02 PM
1

So then I’m not treating them like a generic “person” then am i ? Do you actually believe that dating conventions are not gendered?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 04:51 PM
1

It isn’t that way at all tho, the way you relate to a woman in the early stages of dating or a hookup is completely different from how you relate to almost anyone else
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 04:19 PM
1

If someone is in a bad place mentally, a lot of times it helps them to know that others care, even if they aren’t actually doing anything to help. Don’t know why and it doesn’t really make sense to me, but people do seem to work that way
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 03:00 PM
3

No I’ve seen that as dating advice “Just treat me like a person what’s so hard”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 02:40 AM
3

No, you are wrong, much like with diet and exercise, this field is muddled with TONS of incorrect information and people trying to pitch various schemes of what works. The problem is that when you’re inexperienced you can’t distinguish the good from the bad. If everyone “always knew” what worked, then there wouldn’t be so much conflicting information because all the garbage would be ignored
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 11:03 PM
3

I’ve seen “just treat me like a person, why does gender even come into it” countless times on Reddit
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 10:51 PM
2

Ok but that is the context of this thread
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 10:49 PM
5

A: “Hey I’m looking for dating advice, help me out” B: gives bad advice A: “I tried all that, it didn’t work” B: “OH YOU MUST’VE ASSUMED MY ADVICE WORKS LOL I NEVER SAID IT WORKS” 🤔🤔🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 08:51 PM
1

Yeah true , it’s weird to think how far medicine has come even in just 50 years. It would definitely be interesting to see the numbers
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 02:06 AM
3

But it doesn’t really matter what he plans long term right now, he’s 21, it’s very common that people’s feelings change when they fee what aging is like
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 02:03 AM
1

Right, imo the gap has gotten smaller and so has the deviation
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 02:01 AM
1

It’s not that uncommon, my parents and grandparents all have about an 8 year age gap, and lots of my parents friends have similar gaps. They were married in the 1960s. According to them their age gap is unremarkable and not out of the ordinary
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 01:57 AM
3

yeah it works best in little bursts not acting like a raging psycho all the time
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/17 07:36 PM
2

It’s a style of game, some guys go for funny and playful, others find that aggressive and brutal suits them better
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/17 07:34 PM
2

Worked for me. There is a particular sort of woman who goes crazy for raw animalistic aggressiveness. It’s not my personality at all, so I trained myself to do it for so long it eventually sorta became second nature in particular contexts. I would imagine it’ll atrophy with disuse Edit— this is the sort of thing that’s hard to judge over the Internet tho. My idea of being aggressive might be really tame compared to y’alls
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/17 07:33 PM

I didn’t see that other thread, thanks for linking it for me

Woooo random camping trips Gonna do an 18-miler to and from a hot springs this weekend. This whole thing just fell together out of nowhere. Life is so good sometimes
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/17 02:45 AM

I feel relaxed and calm as well, I was referring to the hazy mind part. I’m sharp afterwards , like abnormally so
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/17 01:39 AM
1

I don’t want to get too into the details but this description is very different from how I experience the time after sex Like polar opposite
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/17 01:27 AM
1

Maybe. I’ve seen women use this stuff completely to their advantage in petty personal fighting and get enabled by HR for way too long before reasonable people prevailed
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 07:07 PM
1

Ultimately tho this is the dilemma men face, what indications of interest did they receive, how do they weigh them and act on them? Because men ultimately have to make these decisions I think they should get a little leeway in situations where nobody is hurt and all that happened is maybe an “inappropriate” thing was said
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 06:53 PM
1

Its not my cup of tea but ALOT of people meet in work environments , I think it’s like 1/3 of couples or some huge number lkke that. I really don’t like the idea of making totally common behavior like this taboo bc it gets ugly in a few cases
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 06:16 PM
1

Providerism is comfort and thus beta Same with affection Good in balance with “alpha” traits, not so great alone, i guess that makes it non-submissive when it’s in a good balance, I mean in isolation those things do seem kinda submissive
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 05:24 AM
1

I think marriage is a good deal for the kids but not really for the guy himself. So he makes the sacrifice for his kids, and all in all it works out well for him, but still just measured from his perspective it’s not a “good deal.” Other than the kids he can have all of that without marriage, and for the kids he takes a huge risk on the marriage, it’s a deal with very little upside for him personally, aka a sacrifice
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 05:09 AM
2

Seems to me tho that’s just a confounded variable problem bc of course omega guys who can’t get married are unhappy and so they skew the stats
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 05:06 AM
3

All of Europe is definitely not like that. I lived in Spain and Italy and the locals were some of the most racist people I’ve met in my entire life This was 10 years ago tho maybe the times have changed
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 01:25 AM

They are the sort of people who read the news but construe it in really weird ways that I don’t understand
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 01:08 AM

Caveat — I’ve only known it in a friendship context But to me it never seemed to be coming from a bad place
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 11:00 PM

Why is marriage a good deal for a guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 10:58 PM

Saved as a good “overview of RP” post
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 10:54 PM

It seems kinda mean to pity it. I always appreciated it, it seems like they’re just trying to do right by others
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 10:47 PM
2

I don’t see what the problem is? Why would they have any trouble understanding such a position? Do you know what their immigration policies look like?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 10:30 PM
2

So i post a lot here about how I’m in some men’s groups on Facebook, like pickup groups and that sort of thing, not bc I’m active in it just bc I think it’s fun to read Well, I recently started lurking in some women’s groups too, this stuff is a gold mine. It’s like I’m reading a genderswapped TRP LOL, except with pictures to all the names

“Laws mean nothing all that matters is what I feel they mean”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 08:06 PM

I just don’t see why people are arguing against something you already disclaimed in your OP
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 07:25 PM
6

Come on you’re bordering on bad faith argument here, how is that your takeaways from that post, you’re just making insults
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 04:20 PM
10

OP understood the looks-based parts, it’s the behavioral stuff that was confusing. Like “be confident” could mean a lot of things, if a guy just walked up and did confident but supplicating behavior it’s not gonna get him very far
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 04:18 PM
3

if they all like it why not just admit it, I thought a well lived life was all about being proud of who you are
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 04:16 PM
5

Yeah I definitely thought all attraction was looks based. To me that was super obvious. What I didn’t understand was what sorts of behaviors women find attractive.

Both sanders and trump had a sort of “frank talk” appeal, people also believed that both of them were not beholden to a certain type of moneyed special interest. I know a few trump voters who seriously argued that because trump had his own money, he would be better able to represent the common working man and wouldn’t be beholden to donors and moneyed interests. I also know a few trump voters who were Bernie primary voters, it really doesn’t make sense to me but hey there it is
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/17 03:41 PM
3

I’m not sure about that. Sanders was immensely popular and appealed to many of the same people (oddly enough) who voted for Trump. Meanwhile the democrats ran the consummate centrist and they lost

http://www.businessinsider.com/liberals-can-win-if-they-stop-being-so-annoying-2017-7 Good article on this; the thesis is that liberals have supplanted conservatives as moralizing busybodies

If you work out a bunch of days a week you will have higher t than if you just go lay on the couch , a sedantary lifestyle is toxic
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/17 05:20 AM
3

Seriously if you just lift a few days a week, eat your veggies, and go do some shit outside, it’s not even a big deal, your test should stay OK until your 50s It’s crazy how far we’ve fallen
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/17 04:47 AM
2

lol right? I’ve known a fat short brown guy who just had the social and lifestyle game down to like the 1% of the 1% of that particular area, he KILLS it, has more friends and women than the vast majority of people I’ve ever met
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/17 04:42 AM
3

So what though, if you want to maximize your own success then negative thought patterns about “I wish I were taller” are only gonna hurt ya
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/17 04:39 AM
1

I mean , it’s kinda strange how when you’re really into someone, you’ll let a lot of stuff slide, so there’s a grain of truth in there. But really I meant this lightly
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/17 05:38 AM

lol yeah you’re right maybe I wasn’t 100% serious on this one
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/17 04:48 AM

Isn’t that the point of a date, you go hang out and if it goes well it leads to sex

What do you define as a “tribal society”? Why do you think the US is becoming that now? Why do you not think that is a problem that warrants fixing? When I think of a tribal society in the common usage of that phrase, I think of third world shitholes with toxic cultures, and if the US is headed that way, that’s absolutely a problem that should be taken seriously. Personally I do not believe that the US is headed that way but if I did I certainly wouldn’t think “oh great, everything is all good”
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/17 03:04 AM
1

nd blue pilled societies with high marriage rates and strong social stigma against divorce didn’t guarantee a lack of sexual frustration or a stable life for men (Spanish colonization, Muhammad’s (saws) followers who helped spread Islam). Please explain the connections you’re making here

Depending how much money it is, there’s always small claims court
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/17 01:22 AM

Interesting
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/17 04:16 AM

Isn’t it tho? Seems like we have lots of people who say they’d prefer one or the other, they don’t say “I prefer them equally but I choose this one”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/17 01:01 AM

some people come to debate precisely bc they want to challenge their own views

Non-monogamy is the general term and there are many types of nonmonogamous relationships that have their own names
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 11:36 PM

I mean, that argument too is based on “men and women are the same,” I don’t think women feel the same about men as being cheated on, they’re more likely to indulge a man who cheats but doesn’t “emotionally cheat,” to a man it’s all the same
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 07:59 PM
1

In my experience women care a lot less and are a lot more forgiving about it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 07:35 PM
1

It didn’t end in bad terms or anything. Just sorta drifted apart from the second girl. It was never a super strong bond with her, I think we all could sorta tell it wasn’t meant to be a long term sort of thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 07:31 PM
0

Then why is she going to such lengths to equate it, she’s saying over and over that it’s the same
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 07:25 PM
2

But they feel pain the same way men do when their partner isn’t exclusive. How could anyone possibly know that? Anyway my experience is different, ime men care about fidelity in a different way than women do. Both care but it isn’t the same
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 07:24 PM
5

Yeah, I see what you’re saying. It is hard to know if a stranger really cares. Makes sense
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 06:50 PM
3

Don’t complain when your girlfriend/ wife wants to sleep around and have multiple side men. Don’t say it’s gross or she is a slut. Because if you want to sleep around then you shouldn’t complain when she wants to, too. A big point of the post she’s responding to is that it IS different for men, that our drives are stronger, that we generally innately seek variety Women really don’t chase variety in the same way and it’s dumb to equate it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 06:31 PM
1

There you go reducing women’s reproductive role down to just sexual intercourse again
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 06:17 PM
1

I dunno I feel like it’s not the same but I can’t put my finger on why
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 06:15 PM
1

Theoretically you could grow the pie instead of splitting it Economics of polygyny LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 06:08 PM
1

Women can see that they’re valued more than men, that they’re less disposable, they aren’t idiots.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 06:06 PM

It doesn’t matter if he thinks it, the typical man has an innate bias towards women bc of it. It may be wholly pre-conscious, who cares, he still acts on it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:56 PM
1

Women’s reproductive role makes them valued. Sex is a part of women’s reproductive role but it’s not all of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:48 PM
2

Your arguments start from a demonstrably false first principle, namely, “men and women are the same.”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:43 PM
1

well that’s a part of it. Are you being coy here or what
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:40 PM
1

How can a woman be cucked
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:36 PM
3

Why do you need an argument for it tho? Like what if she just offered it? Would the internal contradiction and unfairness of it bother you too much?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:35 PM
1

I had a few months where I had two girlfriends, they knew each other, they dated each other, we took trips together, etc and it was amazing. I don’t think that sort of setup is really practical on a society wide scale and it’s so socially disfavored that I can’t really see myself doing it in any kind of permanent arrangement, but hey I’m glad I had the experience. It was a lot of fun
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:34 PM
1

Man value women more than women value men Like, if you want to talk about it in rough comparison or analogy or whatever , that’s fine but let’s be real it’s just an analogy. And we can talk about women’s struggle and I agree that it’s a real thing, but at the end of the day the average woman will always be valued more than the average man, and she’ll experience a better existence for it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:29 PM
12

My understanding is that for people who are suffering emotional distress, it helps to know that others care about their plight. It doesn’t make it all better but it makes the burden lighter. Life is hard when you’re struggling and then on top of that you feel like nobody even cares
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 05:20 PM
1

I mean if there’s a particular person who keeps doing it over and over, they’re probably interested in something about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 01:40 PM
1

Tinder is weird for me lkke that, it seems to still show me people outside of my geo range but only if they matched me, like it’ll say “86 miles away” and I know it’s a match
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 03:17 AM
1

Never been a problem for me , frankly I’d be shocked if half of them were that mindful
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 03:08 AM

This is not the thought process of normal well adjusted extrovert girls, they aren’t thinking “omg if I post a pic of my doing a hobby, some dude is gonna come stalk me at it”
