Pretty sure I’d be checking in on and talking to my child every single day. Multiple times a day. If I had to leave my child with someone. The parent left their child weeks. Irresponsibly is color blind. The parent was a shit parent and is culpable. Defend them all you want.
i'm gonna guess the mother was on a crack or sex binge. the child's mother should be also held accountable for leaving the child with people she obviously didn't know as well as she thought she did. people of color are really big on naming someone a "godparent". like the child HAS to have one, in their mind. so, they'll name just about anyone a godparent.
