In Mexico they can give consent at 12. Maybe that

The inequity in dating will always persist, provided the traditional man approaches woman continues.

Not just that. Men do it to themselves also. Since men pursue women, it gives women more options. Obviously if roles were reversed and it was women who pursued men, men would be more selective than they are now and women toward the middle and bottom of the attractiveness scale would be left out more. Not a parallel but closer than now

Women are also very comfortable letting others do violence for them.

Agree and some. If some dude raped 3 women, he’d get years for each woman. So by that logic, she should have got separate years for each guy she falsely accused

This is why when people say believe women, I can’t believe they haven’t come across these types of stories. Believe all women, even the crazy ones who lie? Well not the ones who lie. And how do you discern the difference? Evidence. It quickly goes from believe all women, to believe claims with evidence

Yeah but she was taking away 3 people’s freedom which would most likely result in way more than 8 years

That’s the argument though. It’s not what is intended, but subliminally, that’s what it’s doing. It’s more than just likeable or not. That’s reductive. A guy can be very likeable and not be getting laid. It’s specifically about sexual access. And that’s the problem. If it was just, you’re a loser with no friends, that would not subliminally reinforce what I’m referring to. This is more than that. It’s about sexual access, not maintaining friendships. Are you likeable enough to get sexual access.…

How is it not what I said? Not getting laid is viewed as an insult suggesting getting laid is the opposite: praiseworthy. But if a dude getting laid is praiseworthy, there is an element in that, in which women are trophies earning you your flowers.

Your response was that that is not the intention of the word. Agreed, obviously. But subliminally is what I was referring to. How is that not the unintended subliminal messaging.

I think that might be what it does, but it’s so baked in so you don’t see it.

I’ve never notice this before myself. But it could be that blind to it because I’m used to it. Going to run a little experiment in my head to see if OPs reality is true for me. I doubt it, but I won’t know until I observe

No we appreciate you. I can immediately tell it’s a kind soul when I hear someone like you being considerate like that. It’s rare.

The narcissism of some people. If I realized someone was behind me and I was inconsiderately blocking the whole damn aisle, I’d feel bad and be apologetic. How that’s not in some people is weird

Doesn’t incel language, reinforce viewing women as objects to get sex from. When you insult someone as pathetic for not getting laid, you’re sort of inadvertently suggesting the opposite is good. I know you don’t mean that, but I think that’s sort of subliminally reinforcing that.

I’ve never noticed this before. All that op is saying might be true in my neck of the woods, I’ve just never noticed it. OPs gonna have me hyper vigilant to see if this happens to me too

Well I paid my ex child support for years while having my kids full time. There were periods where she’d only see them 1-2 times per year. But my paycheck was docked for child support nonetheless

Knowing her she’ll find a way to make people believe in her again, and she’ll at least pay some of the restitution. From all the interviews I’ve seen about her, she has an unusually gifted ability to inspire people toward her vision. If only it weren’t a sham. Her vision was awesome, just not realistic. But have a home diagnostic kit where you give a drip of blood and see you levels and risks for this and that sounds amazing. And I guess that’s all it ever was. A wishful idea

When my wife and I divorced I got custody and never asked for a dime of child support. And never received a dime save for one time she bought the kids new shoes. One time. And even then she was spending her new boyfriends money to buy them.

Men: don’t incur unnecessary brain damage to face consequences that your woman brought about, that she will not have to face herself. Women: don’t start fights that you are shielded by virtue of being female, from taking a beating, but that your man is not. It’s a form of proxy domestic abuse

I agree with what you’re saying but don’t know if some major figure like Shapiro would count. Social issues commentary on traditional values is sort of his thing. I’m not sure he’s threatened in this area so much as it’s part of his defense of overall traditional values

Fair enough. Yes i was suggesting to fake it. It was sort of tongue in cheek, not really meant to be serious. I realize it could be seen as disrespectful to fake a religion as a way to protect yourself. The larger issue is, as you’ve acknowledged, you shouldn’t even have to consider that. There should be no need to try and find a way to make yourself a minority in one way or another in order to protect yourself from people who will only respect you and show you kindness if you are a minority. Th…

Yeah that’s terrible. One possible tactic for your son, but only as it pertains to work is to learn about Islam and identity as Muslim. Or some other minority identity that has oppression clout. Then he’ll have a shield at work. It’s not a sure thing, but people would probably be less likely to falsely accuse a Muslim because of bad optics.

Yeah we used to be less scared and more unified but it seems now every day a new word or term is invented to cause us to hate each other and fear each other.

Yeah I was just sympathizing with those guys who have that fear because it literally happened to my friend right in front of me. It’s a legit fear. Just like it’s perfectly understandable for a woman to be nervous waking to her car at night. My coworkers friends will sometimes time leaving the office to leave at the same time as me because they’re scared to walk to their cars at night. I have seniority and gave my underground parking beeper and parking spot to a female friend because I know she’…

I was sharing my experience with it. Poor guy actually moved from a different state for this job. It was really sad. We stay in touch tho. He had to uproot and that’s really sad. Plus we really liked him so it was sad for us too.

I actually paid child support to my ex for years even though our kids were full time with me. I literally took them to visit her once or twice during that time when she managed to let us know where she was. All the time paying her every two weeks child support. It was rough because as a single dad raising kids full time I really could have used that money to actually take care of our kids.

Happened to a coworker of mine. And he was the nicest guy ever. See my response in another comment if you want the fuller story.

I get it though. One of my coworkers was this square guy. He was the least sexual vibe guy ever. He was super traditional. Well one of my coworkers didn’t like him, probably because the partner at my firm favored him because he was really good. Well she ended up complaining to HR about him. Her claim was that “I could feel his eyes on my butt as I walked out of his office.” So HR came down from corporate, several hours away, to discuss with him. She had shared her complaint with other women at t…

Agree with your decision. Got to set an example for your daughters. If you don’t want to see men exploit them, you don’t want to model being exploited in front of them. You made the right choice for you and for them.

Yes and no. If they all leave they just get integrated and mixed with everywhere they go. A one time stimulus payment and then Slavic women no more.
