Dude, what can you not understand about about policy vs those charged with carrying out policy? You said I am jealous of them. I am not and the salary and hours are two things I would not be jealous of. I never said they are lesser people because they make that much or work those hours. It's just not for me. I know situations are more complicated than what was proposed in your comment, but there are resources for her and her kids. Alimony and child support could be granted. I'm sure she would qualify for federal and state aide as well. Perhaps try to get her to talk to a lawyer (many offer free consults). Also disability abuse is a more sever offence in the laws eyes.
