Human beings, primates, live in a world of self delusion. They always have the 'it can't happen to me' syndrome. Thus people gamble and play the lottery, each individual thinks they will 'be special' and win. The same is true of marriage. All the foolish men think their girl is different. The delude themselves and think that their love is different. Like cows lined up at the slaughterhouse, they march off into their own self delusion.

Holy shit man, you talked to the police already without a lawyer. You didn't "undermine" anything but yourself. That's really bad stuff. Get a lawyer immediately, and maybe they can try to partially reduce some of the damage you've already done to yourself. Doubtful, but it's possible. Get a lawyer. That's the only advice you need to hear.

To think of all the thousands of blindly ignorant, gullible men that will get married this month. All so sure that 'their wife is different' and all that jazz. This culture trains and encourages women to not have the character to stay in a committed relationship of marriage, and rewards them lavishly when they finally play along and ruin the man's life. Only a complete and total fool would marry an American woman. This stuff is a national tragedy affecting millions and millions of men. From jail…

Sorry to hear about your all-too-familiar situation OP. If it's any comfort at all, you have it a hell of a lot better than men who made a hell of a lot more money than you did at one time in their lives. An example(of many) - http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-08-26/jail-becomes-home-for-husband-stuck-with-lifetime-alimony.html

Like many things in life, that's easy to say, but when it comes down to you actually doing it and it being a permanent thing? Your life is over and you are forever a fugitive? That's another animal entirely. It's much like how many people describe how they would react to an armed robber, or what they would do in a crisis. When the robber shows up, you find out people are filled with self delusion. They can and will come after you in many countries, and can use many tools against you financially.…

Wait... are you suggesting a woman who had at least 11 abortions, was a morally bankrupt slut, an alcoholic and drug addict who attempted suicide more than once before succeeding, who screwed her way to being famous(she famously said 'I don't care if I have to sleep with every disgusting old man in this town(Hollywood), I'm going to be famous') shouldn't be a woman that every man should want, and every woman should mimic?

More of the same in the US courts. Happens every day all over the country, stuff like this, mostly to men who aren't seriously rich like Cryer.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
