Thus people gamble and play the lottery, each individual thinks they will 'be special' and win. The same is true of marriage. All the foolish men think their girl is different. Holy shit man, you talked to the police already without a lawyer. You didn't "undermine" anything but yourself. That's really bad stuff. Get a lawyer immediately, and maybe they can try to partially reduce some of the damage you've already done to yourself. Doubtful, but it's possible. Get a lawyer. Your life is over and you are forever a fugitive? That's another animal entirely. It's much like how many people describe how they would react to an armed robber, or what they would do in a crisis.
