Yeah there's nothing intrinsically good or bad about biases. It's a neutral evolutionary defense mechanism. It's a part of every single one of us. It is, however, extremely important to challenge our perspectives and assumptions. We need to ask ourselves why we have certain biases, does that bias interfere with my perception of reality, does that bias impact how I judge and interact with other individuals, and is my bias based on anger or hatred? We have to ask ourselves if this is reality or if…

It's supposed to be a 1950s dystopia where the men are forced to go to "work" every day but work is going to be experimented on by the government and yes women stay and take care of the house because once again, 1950s, traditional household ideals. erotic dancers and show objects, The scene you're referring to in the trailer is actually just a scene of a small group of friends messing around and having drunk fun at what appears to be a 50s style dinner party. women being sexually dominated by me…

So is it ok to have the same mentality towards men? Because I think people should be judged based on their actions not their gender.

So if someone had a handful of stories that circulate feminist subreddits happen to them, would that justify lumping all men in the same category and claiming that all men are rapists, sexist, violent, misogynistic, whatever other adjective you want to think of? Would that justify saying that "good" men are the exception and the negative aspects are the norm? Does that make "men are trash", "kill all men", and other disgusting statements like that ok? If someone went around saying that about men…

Out of curiosity, according to your argument, would you think it's ok for people to feel that way about men? If someone has had mostly negative experiences with men would you think it's ok for them to think negatively of all men? Because if someone did that to men I would consider it sexist. Or does that line of reasoning only apply to sexism towards women? Or would you rather people be judged separately on their character and their behavior rather than their gender?

So what exactly offends you about this article? Do you have any specifics about why you think this topic is an issue? Or are you just complaining to complain?

Completely agree

Is the distinct pattern that they've been the only ones selectively taken from subs like that and uploaded to this one to paint women in a negative light? You can find 100+ videos of men doing the same stuff, but only the ones of women doing it make it to this sub.

Is this mother a fucking bitch Yes do all women universally do not hold each other accountable? No. Rule one man. Just like all men aren't the same, not all women are the same. They aren't a hive mind. Men and women have equal capacity to be shitty or to be good. I have been accountable for my actions my whole life, as I should be, and so has every other woman in my life. Accountability isn't a man or woman issue. It's a shitty person issue, it's a humanity issue, it's a people overlooking thing…

At this point people are just cherry picking any video they see on those kinds of subs with a woman and saying "look women bad" instead of offering actual criticism or discussion of ideals. Like you could go to any sub and find a video of a man doing something bad and do the exact same thing.

Not saying that I agree with the other comment or that it's "correct", but we can very clearly see from your own image that you've posted that they called you sexist because of something else you said and not in fact because you defended anime. In fact they very clearly stated that they weren't calling you sexist because of your media tastes. Again, not saying they were or weren't correct, but your title is facetious.
/r/AntiFeminists16/07/22 11:16 PM

If someone is doing unsolicited advertising then yes it should be, but someone seeking out an only fans and choosing to pay for it that's not unsolicited.
/r/AntiFeminists16/07/22 09:40 PM

Time will tell I suppose, but I support this law. Children shouldn't be exposed to unsolicited nudes.
/r/AntiFeminists16/07/22 09:35 PM

The change means that anyone who sends a photo or film of a person’s genitals, for the purpose of their own sexual gratification or to cause the victim humiliation, alarm or distress may face up to two years in prison. Where does the article say that this law doesn't apply to women?

Doesn't belong in this sub, there's absolutely no ideologies to criticize here. Husband stitch is bad.
/r/AntiFeminists15/07/22 11:05 PM

Ok. Then date someone compatible with your needs and ideals. Easy. That's what the person from the post did. But you can't go through life expecting others to bend to your wants.
/r/AntiFeminists14/07/22 12:01 PM

For sure
/r/AntiFeminists13/07/22 11:18 PM

Honestly. I like varying opinions, I like to challenge my views and think about why I believe the way I do, but most of this sub has very little to do with constructive criticism of ideologies and more to do with finding excuses to hate on groups of people and feel superior. It's hard to have an actual conversation and learn let alone get to the actual root of issues when every little thing is a never ending blame game

Homie, even if the genders were reversed and it's an accident, then it's an accident. It's not intentional. I have had guys accidentally bump into me or brush up against me all the time. My job requires me to be pretty hands on with the customers and physically help them, this has resulted in multiple men's asses in my face a day. It's not intentional, it's not assault, it's just awkward and you move on. In this extremely bizarre fake scenerio, literally no one in the world would think that a ma…

Um. Did you read the post? Not really sure why this is here. There's no constructive criticism of feminism or it's ideologies. What is the point of this post other than to bash someone who didn't like how they were being treated/talked to in their relationship, so they ended it. That's reasonable for anybody. I think you just saw that it was a woman criticizing someone who happened to be a man and you got mad. Ideological differences can be an important factor that can clash or lead to a downfal…
/r/AntiFeminists13/07/22 04:39 PM

Yeah this guy is talking about his social anxiety and how he wishes he had more confidence. Maybe you could try to offer words of support or be a kind person instead of twisting his issues to fit some weird unrelated narrative.

I mean the statement "my ex was crazy" is a phrase that's regarded as a red flag within most actual relationship advice fields and is indicative of a bigger problem when used by both men and women (obviously depending on the context). So I really don't see anything wrong with the original post, just someone talking about their own personal experience with the phrase. and the person posting it doesn't say anything to imply that men are the problem, they say that narcissists are.

The comment was deleted but it's still in his comment history on his profile. How do you get down voted for literally just stating where people can find publicly available information?

I do. I don't care. I'm not the one who banned him from the page. I just said that he should accurately depict what happened instead of giving a watered down half truth of the events. The floor could actually be opened up for better constructive criticism if he didn't omit that information. It could have provided for better conversation about why people get banned for sexist jokes towards women but not towards men. But as of right now this post doesn't really serve as any kind of discussion rega…

I Also think a permanent ban was too much. I also think stereotyping of men should be met with the same scorn. All I wanted to do was point out that there was more to ops story than he was letting on and he purposely left out info to make himself seem more innocent.
/r/AntiFeminists17/06/22 02:15 PM

No I think the ban was too harsh. I just think what happened needs to be accurately presented, because op left out a lot of info on purpose and made himself seem more innocent than he really was.

Oh yeah I think a permanent ban was too harsh, but that behavior helps no one and he shouldn't have said it. It shouldn't be done to men or women. But the facts of what happened need to be accurately presented.
/r/AntiFeminists17/06/22 02:11 PM

Yeah it's wrong, that's why I made the comment. It's bad to stereotype and generalize one way or the other. I don't think it should happen to men either and I think a permanent ban was too harsh. I don't disagree with anything you said. I disagree with how op chose to portray what happened and how he purposely omitted why he got banned and acted like he did nothing wrong.
/r/AntiFeminists17/06/22 02:09 PM
2

Oh yeah I'm not arguing against a permanent ban being too harsh, I'm arguing about how op is portraying the situation. "All I did was comment a single word" he's purposely misconstruing what happened, which is that he made a sexist joke.
/r/AntiFeminists17/06/22 02:07 PM

Yeah. I just said that behavior is wrong. It's bad to stereotype men or women. It helps no one. You're assuming things, when it's clearly outlined otherwise I'm my comment.

Yeah no. You got banned for commenting "women" on a video of someone crashing a car. I.e stereotyping and portraying a whole group in a negative light based on gender. You can be mad about it all you want, but you should at least provide all the facts if you're going to make a post about it. Edit: all I'm saying is this sub rightfully thinks it's bad when people do that to men, so it shouldn't be done to women either Lol, you'd think this sub would appreciate accountability, critical thinking, n…

I'm a woman. I don't care about men watching porn. My boyfriend and I both indulge every now and then. I don't think most people have a problem with porn really. I think people have a problem with the culture it has a capacity to create, the addiction it can cause, and the issues that arise when differentiating porn from reality. And I agree with these points. I think when young people are exposed to porn with no other outside education around sex and that it's not like real life, it can cause i…

I think it's more along the lines of women's roles in relationships historically rather than some sort of conscious choice. Throughout history women were supposed to be passive, attract a good man, and be chosen. It was considered unladylike to show interest or to pursue someone. Even though it's not prevalent any more and we no longer abide by that system in many countries, there's still a lasting impact on men and women that stigmatizes women taking action in relationships. For women it makes …

Ok.... So if this person isn't your type... Move on! If they are congratulations it works out. You're sitting here talking about how it's awful how men are treated for certain appearances, and then you're turning around and doing the same thing. Based on the comment I assume you found this on Tinder. Why go out of the way to post it and bait people to insult her? Why go out of the way to contribute to the very behavior you're condemning? You don't find her attractive? Find someone you do! It doe…

A lot of the comments on this post are doing the very thing they condemn when it happens to men. They are jumping to insults, assumptions, and anger over someone's appearance from simply a picture of a person. I have seen a lot of discussion about how wrong it is when men are artificially judged on just their weight rather than the quality of their character. And I agree. It's wrong to jump to insults over appearance. It's bad to attach all of a man's value to his appearance. But that shouldn't …

Overall, I respectfully disagree. There is nothing in the original post to insinuate the woman in question didn't take any kind of responsibility. She merely talked about the negative side effects of her bc. Which is responsible. We should be able to weigh the pros and cons of birth control on our health, there's nothing wrong with that. I know for me personally it destroyed me mentally, caused all sorts of pain and issues in the bedroom, and gave me acne I still can't get rid of even after bein…

I'm definitely sure they meant no ill will, but I think it unintentionally comes across in a demeaning way Edit: I think I'm just tone deaf, I read "these people" as "women", but going back and reading it as feminists makes more sense, so I hope it's not the first one lol

I'm not ashamed to be a woman. Being a woman isn't inherently a bad thing, just like being a man isn't a bad thing. No one should be ashamed of their gender. To be completely honest, I find it more insulting that you hear "woman" and your first thought is "udder trash". Isn't a big talking point of this sub the frustration of men being automatically viewed in a negative light just for being male? I believe that's wrong, and it's also wrong to do that to women too. People shouldn't be judged by t…

I can definitely see what you're saying and I agree that it's easy to find a bunch of headlines and say "look see it happens this means it happens all the time". The point of these links was to mostly say that it does happen and usually for a common reason, as for the frequency and how likely someone is to encounter it in day to day life, I couldn't say. Unfortunately in this scenario I feel most examples for these women stem from a common negative view towards women from a specific kind of man …

While I understand the sentiment of the post on this sub, we still shouldn't turn a blind eye to violence and sexism towards anyone. Doing so only hurts everyone in the long run. This is not to say that it doesn't happen to men as well, I firmly believe in the importance of raising awareness for male victims of violence, cruelty, false accusations, and misandry, but denying the issues of others doesn't make them go away, and multiple issues can and do exist side by side. These are just a few exa…

I'm not arguing with the claim about cooperation, I don't particularly care about that so I'm not trying to disagree there, men and women have equal capability to be cooperative. However, in order to accurately understand, assess, and respond to history, it's important to be factually correct and to have a grasp of nuances surrounding historical occurrences. I apologize in advance if this is long or comes across as condescending, but it's truly important for many movements and reasons to underst…

This doesn't actually seem like any kind of logic based critique. This seems more like a shallow overgeneralization of a stereotype bordering on straight up contempt for all women rather than concern for feminism or equality. Long story short, this lacks any sound basis or integrity and is just generally gross.

Unfortunately every day. They are still murdered in the streets, in parks, in their homes. They are still abused by family, disowned, sometimes killed. They are still denied housing and employment. They are bullied. There is still a lot of stigma and a lot of hatred. My apologies, I didn't mean to equate the two at all and I do not see them as equal experiences and I agree the two are wildly different, my only intention was to point out that legality doesn't stop hatred and I should have used another example I can see now how that sounded and I now remember how others have equated the two, and my intention was not to do what they have done

I mean mistreatment, discrimination, and hatred still exist even though it's legal for people to exist in those countries. The law can't change some people's attitudes. It doesn't fix everything. Like people are still racist towards black people even though slavery is illegal. It just doesn't go away that easy unfortunately.
