I got a degree in Physics, masters in Mech Eng. And I got treated like crap for 4 years as an female engineer before switching to be a Physics teacher. I saw that thread last night and I was expecting the worst. Overall, the responses and the follow-up were very refreshing. A lot of people pointed out how many people felt misandry doesn't exist, and then made the comparison to how some believe minority races cannot be racist. Does anyone have a link back to it? At least in my region, garbage men are pretty decently paid (low to mid $20s/hour after a few years), have good benefits, and have great job stability. They get hundreds of applicants for every vacant position. A former coworker and friend left the programming world to be one so he wouldn't have to work 60+ hour weeks without OT, so he could be outside, and so he could get a decent non-HMO healthcare plan, and he says he hasn't looked back.

In Wisconsin it's a class F felony, punishable by a fine not to exceed $25,000 or imprisonment not to exceed 12 years and 6 months, or both. It may not be attempted murder, but it's still a pretty serious charge with significant potential penalties. Not one that I would expect someone to be allowed to walk out of jail with just a signature.

Yes, bail... not just a signature bond. I could be wrong, but I believe signature bonds are usually used for minor, nonviolent, misdemeanor crimes. Apparently men can't even have opinions on why women are underrepresented in some degrees and careers.
