What kind of parent acts like that in public in front of her two young kids? Why isn't there any mention of the fact she's a bad parent with anger issues? I wonder what life at home is like for those children.

I agree, it's turning it into which gender has it worse. Even if it is true more females get raped what has that got to do with male victims? They are still human and should be treated with the same amount of compassion.

I wonder if would have felt differently if it was a man that raped him or a really unattractive female?

She's not a slut. She is a rapist.

I know here in Ireland there is only one charity for men who have suffered spousal abuse called AMEN. I'm not sure if they even get government funding. But women can suffer abuse from other women, men from men. They seem to be totally over looked because the abuser is always termed as male and the victim as female. I also notice how mens health is rarely mentioned in the media.

Honestly so many women do not know this! I know this but you see men on Reddit all the time saying their girlfriend thinks their morning erection means they are aroused. I'm sure they are lots of daft people who seem surprised when male babies get erections. You see women posting online all freaked out because their baby has an erection. It's all down to a lack of education and peoples unwillingness to talk about such things.

Society protects women and children, men always seem to come last.

Why can't they have both men and women pledge not to be violent towards anyone. Why must it always be gender based and assuming all couples consist of a male and female.

It's pure ignorance. A lot of people don't understand how a woman can rape a man. Even when I try to explain it to my female friends they are sceptical.

As a female that doesn't sit well with me. Rape and assult needs to be taken seriously no matter what gender you are.

It seems to me it's socially acceptable for women to hit men and women and for men to hit men, but not for men to hit women. How about no one hits anyone unless it's in self defence or in defence of another person.

I think people do this, because they want to believe it would never happen to them, that they could somehow control the situation. It's purely to make themselves feel better by changing how they view the situation versus seeing rape for what it really is.

But not everyone has that instinct, like some baby animals are taken off their parents because the parents show zero interest in it.

Huh well if the holding the baby was preventing him from escaping that would make s bit more sense. If the flight response kicked in he'd be almost 100% focused on getting the hell out.

The fact he was holding the baby and somehow thought to put the baby down before he left, bothers me.

If you were holding a baby would you put it on the floor and then take off running?

He did leave his baby on the floor though instead of keeping it with him.

How being a coward = an abuser doesn't make any sense. Even abandoning his child does not mean this guy was beating on his woman.

The child was in his arms though before he put him down to take off. That's the part that bothers me the most.

He could have stayed in the car park though..... But I'd be interested to know his reasons for actually driving off. We don't know all the details.

I think if the woman left her baby on the floor and ran off, people would be just as angry.

Fuck, I feel bad thinking about a poor helpless baby lying on the floor :( Why couldn't he have kept the baby in his arms? Instead of dropping it on the floor first?

Hmm, But let's say he suffered from PTSD, I do think I would feel more sympathetic towards the guy as it would explain why he ran off. I hope he comes out and explains his side of the story.

I don't think I'd be too happy if I found out my parent dumped me on the floor and ran off. I feel bad for the kid finding this out as he gets older.

I think any person would think twice about marring someone that get's in a car and drives off when there's danger. I think if it was her that got in the car and drove off leaving the guy and the kids behind I think people would still be angry.

Most of us would rather be an alive coward than a dead hero.

When people talk about the "fight or flight" response they often forget about "freezing" up.

He didn't force her to sleep with him. They were both drunk and stoned.

A lot of obese men wouldn't date an obese woman. (That I know of) I think some men prefer when women are smaller than them, but there is a social stigma attached to men who date overweight women though. Some women like men to be bigger and stronger than them, I know some obese women like when they can find a guy bigger than them as it makes them feel smaller and more dainty? or feminine.

Fuck people who lie. If they didn't lie then real victims of abuse and rape would be able to get real justice. Also I've noticed a trend to hate on women who do report rape, even if the guy is found guilty. oh and the whole men can't be raped ...... I remember this one guy who fell asleep at a party and this nympho of a girl totally tried to go down on him whilst he was fast asleep! That shit is just plain wrong and being female doesn't mean it's any less so.

Or tell him he just needs to get drunk and laid :( The media too plays a big part, women learn from movies it's ok to slap men and people rarely tell them differently. I don't ever remember slapping anyone I dated but it wasn't until talking to my male friends that I suddenly saw that slapping a man is abuse, even if the guy is bigger. There's no excuse for putting you hands on anyone unless it's in self defense.

What about emotional abuse and manipulation? Sure some men use that all the time and most women are aware of the issue. BUT women emotionally abusing men is an issue too :( But I guess that's ok because the men get sex .... Even some of my women friends seem to think that's it ok to treat men bad and they'll actually boast about it. If I try to point out that they wouldn't like it if a man treated them that way they go on about all the men that have abused them and things. That's not fair :( It'…

What about straight men, gay men and gay women? They all can suffer from domestic violence too :(

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
