5 ft 4 in guy here. Do my best to accept that it can’t be changed and (from my experience) keep in the back of my mind that it truly is a barrier to entry for many women. There are also many women that have not cared.

But you just did by asking how race definitions have anything to do with gender definitions… What I’m saying is individual liberty/ freedom to define things is good full stop until it’s not because it has consequences. For example, racism. I am having a discussion about the broader implications of freedom of definitions not limited to gender definitions.

You are talking about an individuals right to make their own definitions and individual liberty. To restrict it to this right only in defining gender roles makes it any oxymoron. “You are totally, completely free to define gender as you want under individual liberty but that’s it, no defining anything else the way you want. If you endorse individual liberty, implicit in that endorsement is that it’s application has no bounds. Otherwise it’s individual liberty with restrictions and only where I s…

Yes, to a degree, but there are implied consequences to this behavior when unchecked. People are free to define other races as inferior, yes that is their individual liberty, but does it provide anything positive to our experience?

I see your question here and absolutely endorse a persons’ right to define anything in anyway they want. However it makes the definitions irrelevant when you do that. It’s similar to saying well even though there is definition for the word/object hammer, I am going to define every hammer I see as a a four legged animal that barks, for example. It makes the word and definition void. Something that helps me with fem/masc understanding is how it is used in the spiritual sense. In spirituality, femi…

In theory yes, in reality no. There are plenty plenty plenty of guys willing to get sloppy seconds and be the provider when they are done “having fun”. There is no karmic justice in this situation. They will get their cake with ice cream and sprinkles and eat it too.

It’s unfortunate that guys that struggle are all lumped into this stereotype of lazy entitled losers. I argue that there are many guys out there that are social, have careers, don’t expect sex or relationships for nothing and take proactive steps to get them and still find many rejections and little to show for it. The standards are too high.

Interesting. I WFH as a nurse for a group of urgent cares in New England. Pretty sure as long as my nursing license is active in the state I work in I can be anywhere. Can the country I hypothetically move to prevent me from working even if it’s fine with my company?

This is what I was trying to say in my above comment. We as guys can work tirelessly to achieve a and b but c is an ever moving goal post that IME does not equate to the sum of a and b. Even the advice of TRP when pursued seems to be not a guarantee in todays dating marketplace. Very frustrating.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 10:55 PM

It is also a cyclical/ self defeating argument. Calling someone an incel is meant to imply that a guy that does not have sex is of low value, implying that guy that does have sex with many people is the opposite, of high value. You can’t complain about how guys only want sex and are pigs and then implicitly glorify them by saying their opposite is a gross incel. Calling someone an incel has the attached implication “and someone that isn’t an incel and has casual sex with lots of women is a winne…

It’s the Just World Fallacy in real time. People want to believe that a + b = c… so if a guy isn’t getting c, he must be lacking a or b. It’s incorrect that people receive everything they “deserve” and don’t receive everything they “don’t deserve”. People like to think they have earned everything they have or don’t have due to their efforts and a just world. The current dating environment has made any logical a+b=c notion irrelevant. Many guys have a and b without any c.

I can tell you this- I set up first dates to be coffee or walking my dog. I generally don’t talk about being sober bc in my experience girls really don’t give a fuck about what you went through and your recovery. I just nonchalantly say “yeah I don’t drink, I found it wasn’t for me”. Also, my drug of choice was opiates, alcohol never filled the void enough. When I get close to someone that they have earned learning about those deeper parts of me I will reveal more but it’s on a need to know basi…

So you’re upset this girl disrespected you and fucked with your time and your revenge is giving her more of your time and energy… The best “ revenge”doesn’t have anything to do with action or emotions. The best revenge is apathy. Really want to stick it to her and do right by yourself? Be apathetic. Completely erase her from your external, but more importantly, your internal life.

No. If there truly is a change coming in response to how the SMP is currently, TRP will no longer be necessary for a man to maximize dating success. It’s contextual. What works in one environment wouldn’t work in another. TRP works in the context of unrestrained hypergamy but wasn’t necessary or particularly effective when hypergamy was restrained.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/22 02:43 PM

TRP was motivated as a response to the change in dating strategy, the SMP and gender roles you described. Basically saying “things aren’t like they were in the 1950s and before, this is how they are and this is is the method men can use to maximize success”. If things are changing back to tradcon like you propose, TRP would no longer be necessary.

It’s such a crazy phenomenon. There have been so many times I think to myself “girl, why are you even here if you are going to put no effort into the conversation?” Like, what are we doing here?

Men engage in straight talk, women in game talk or power talk.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/22 07:53 PM
5

This. It’s not realistic to expect women to change a power dynamic they have the upper hand in. A response has to be elicited via action on the other end of the power dynamic. For all the action women took to push the initiative of feminism, it worked because men conceded to it in response to the action. The same thing has to happen in reverse.

Agreed. I said above and will say again. People have little understanding of the broader, less singular existence they have beyond their wants, desires and feelings. Today, rugged individualism is championed and respect for customs, systems and traditions based on natural differences btwn the sexes and individuals which provided for the greater good such as monogamy, social class, levels of education are belittled as dogmatic. Imagine telling a cat they are “equal” to a dog and encouraging it to…

A large part of it too is the blind endorsement and championing of gender equality without acknowledging biological differences inherent and natural btwn the sexes. You see it really rearing it’s head in the whole transgender movement of the past decade and the denouncement of traditional religion and spirituality. People today say they are spiritual to imply they are “deep”. People are championed and encouraged to deny their gender and basically have free reign over their entire existence witho…

It has to be a dual-sided effort. In theory, it would work, in reality, the effects of social changes and feminism over the past 60 or so years cannot be undone. It’s not realistic to expect women to take accountability. It’s akin to expecting Amazon to recognize it owns a monopoly of the market and give some of its power up to “even it out”. Holy shit. Reading this objectively, I have no judgement against you for undertaking all that work/change I am simply impressed, and not in a good way that this is what is required of a man today. Regardless of it being worth it or not or whatever, the fact remains that today, these are the standards it seems men are up against. It’s crazy that there isn’t like a finishing school for boys/men to learn this stuff. Probably BIG money in it. Could be an entire industry.

My validation is obtained from having the harsh facts reiterated and stated by others. Very well written! Just to add/sum up, I think the zeitgeist of Reddit is particularly PC and many users use it as a platform to demonstrate their adherence to this and to the just world fallacy. You see it particularly on subs like r/self, r/dating and r/askmen. There seems to be a hive mind mentality where anything that isn’t a shade of blue pill is vehemently torn apart and attacked. There are obviously multiple ways to accomplish this but this is what help me- the 4th step of the 12 steps of AA. Ditch this pseudo alpha male/ independent pride attitude. Life seriously fucks people up. You can make major gains in therapy that would take years on your own. A smart man knows when to ask for help to overcome his challenges. I find most women, particularly on OLD play hard to get and it’s very unattractive. It seems to be multiple reasons, one they just have so many matches they aren’t consciously doing it, they are just literally hard to get because their attention is hard to get. Two, they enjoy the attention so give just enough to keep that attention going. It’s a foreign concept to me. If I match with someone or have interest in someone I intend and have the expectation to talk, have a phone call and or a date. …

I see the problems as being caused by forces/circumstances that are unchecked and have no limits. Things like social media and OLD seem to have caused extremes in disparities between access to connection, healthy validation, healthy attention and could be balanced through regulation. Similar to the 3 branches of govt. there are checks and balances that facilitate democracy and prevent one body from monopolizing over another with the goal of providing for all. There are definitely a large number of young men unwilling to improve. However, even for those working on themselves, the “standards” indoctrinated into us in our youth that would make a guy acceptable are not longer even the bare minimum. For a long time I would cold approach or go after women that gave me no IOI and it was really bad for my mental health. Technology or waiting. Technology will address many of the issues men have today. Waiting for societal changes to occur naturally in response to current circumstances, of course this will take several generations and may not occur at a scale large enough to have an effect. Check out r/truerateme. The sidebar has a guide for rating with objective standards and examples for 1-10 both male and female. Much more honest in the ratings. R/rateme gives every girl that hasn’t been hit with a shovel a 7+ just for existing. Edit - as I read further I see the has been mentioned an debunked as just as unrealistic. Fuck me.

They are clearly all incels by conscious choice and should just be themselves and join meet ups and it will all work and they will poop rainbows
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 02:32 PM

Is it just me or is r/rateme full of white knights that give all women a rating of 8/9/10 when they are clearly 5 or below? I go on there and feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Or are they all just taking the blue pill?

This is so true. The dating subs other than this one are very PC and prefer to uphold the status quo. Guys that say anything other than “women are angelic” are labeled incels and any reasonable assertion is discounted before it is even considered.

Curious if you have any specific recommendations for countries? I speak Spanish.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 04:35 PM

Based on what occupies my mind the most, being attractive and getting validation via being found attractive. That being said, in practical terms, I work 40hrs a week as an RN helping people. I have much more verifiable success in the latter compared to the former.

Thank you for the reality check lol. Getting too in my feelings over here.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 12:35 AM

2 LTR, one in which the girl left her bf of 7 yrs and sold their house to be with me, was flattering but also very unhealthy. Been with about 20 people. A lot of it is psychological I think, whenever I have a cold streak I blame it on my height bc it’s an easy excuse? Maybe my perception of myself is off but I feel there is an inconsistency btwn my SMV and the success I have and wonder if it is really skewed bc of my height. I was rated an average of 7 on r/rateme but didn’t mention my height.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 12:34 AM

I hate talking numbers but I’m somewhere ~20, most shorter a couple an inch or so taller. It’s like I have enough success to keep playing but enough of a handicap I generally get rejected and have a bad time.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 12:30 AM

I’ll get my passport
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 12:27 AM

I’m a 5’4”M. Is this a losing battle for me? Registered nurse, two bachelors degrees, speak Spanish, gym 4x week, rock climb 2x week, have a dog, can cook, can garden, socially capable. Does the height negate all that?

Also, this was all done under the strict observation of an endocrinologist in order to mitigate any potential side effects, so, no I did not have any noticeable issues. I also had no issues because I was not abusing it, aka I was only being supplemented with an amount that would make it equal to what a healthy person has, not more.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/22 06:30 PM

When I was 16 it was decided that it was time to discontinue the supplementation because at that point the potential height gains had been reached. Height can be increased in a small window but at a certain point you are fighting a losing battle against genetics. If I continued past that point with supplementing I wouldn’t grow vertically at all but my hands, feet and forehead would continue to grow as they are the final growth plates to finish during development.

I was born with HGH deficiency and was supplemented from age 3-16. Without it I would have been around 4’8, weak bones, poor vasculature, Blood pressure issues, low muscle mass. Supplementing got me to 5’4” which is still brutal but gives me a fighting chance at relative normalcy. A side effect of the HGH (in combination with doing gymnastics for a decade) is that I am extremely muscular which also works in my favor. Not hardmaxxing in the traditional sense because the choice was made by my doct…

True. I guess I mean guys just stop trying rather than full GTOW and put effort in again when conditions are more favorable after an adjustment by women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/22 05:42 PM

Wouldn’t a natural response to this situation be widespread MGTOW, which in turn would have a reciprocal adjustment in dating strategy by women? All of this not involving state intervention.

My experience in r/dating had been one of witnessing a ton of gaslighting and name calling. This sub generates a lot more thoughtful discussions. Any comment I have made on r/dating they isn’t in the vein of “just be yourself” or “just keep trying, there’s someone for everyone” is met with tone deaf accusations of inceldom. It’s simultaneously comical and depressing.

I remember that post from the trans man, it was on tumblr I think. What an incredibly insightful perspective that few women will ever experience.

Just curious what you think “the things that give way” that you mentioned will look like? Sexodus? A reemergence of monogamy? A different system other than monogamy to control hypergamy? I often wonder what that reaction to todays dating culture will be in a generation.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 12:13 AM

Well, I think it’s amoral. A worldview can prevail but it doesn’t necessarily mean it is “right”. I think it will take on popularity but it’s supporters will be “I would if I could but I can’t so I won’t” and endorse it by default and not really do much self improvement. Reactionary. So I don’t think it will prevail out of virtue, but as a reaction. The “right way” would, I think, if you are going to do it, is to be MGTOW by choice and even if you could have all the success in dating and sex you…

My understanding is the people you describe are “ reactively” MGTOW, versus the healthier way of “responsively” MGTOW. Basically they don’t have an option/ don’t want to improve so they go MGTOW as a righteous blanketing for their feelings of rejection and unwillingness to improve. I think healthy MGTOWers literally don’t care anymore about dating and don’t have anything to say about the topic because it occupies so little space in their consciousness or at least don’t associate it with their wo…

I think a lot of men will be driven to it for that reason and agree, basically akin to “taking your toys and going home”. However, I think the healthy way of MGTOW would be those guys that stop putting such emphasis and worth on sex and relationships. Instead of “I am doing all this self improvement so that I can get laid” it’s “I am doing all this self improvement to increase my QOL. For me, without expectations of success in dating as a result” That’s what I mean by it being done with bitterne…

Absolutely. I think many guys will get tired of constantly being told “no” and indirectly told they are not good enough and will eventually just stop trying and put their energy into pursuits that have direct results relative to effort out in.

It seems in the current climate, men have 3 options. One is to continue with their dating strategy and outlook as it is. AKA the simping and white knight mindset. Another is to make efforts to join the proverbial “20%” by increasing their SMV. Lots of work, lots of personal benefits and probably will improve an individuals’ QOL, but not a guarantee that it will bring success in dating specifically. The last option is MGTOW. Basically for those that do a cost benefit analysis and decide neither o…

In an ideal western world, men would collectively raise their standards and stop allowing women to be the entitled, over-valued divas they are today. I don’t think this will happen collectively by conscious choice. I would love to see enough MGTOW that women are brought back down to earth. What I see as likely is VR porn and MGTOW becoming so popular that women are left with no options. Their attitude will change but I think men being into dating again will only occur in a generation or two in t…
