Bro I've never met you but I know you can do it, and I believe in you. Just take it one step at a time. Start with something small, watch a motivational YouTube clip. Read something makes you feel good. Just don't beat yourself up for going through a rough patch. We all do it. But you've got to find something to bring you back up. PM Me. Let's set some challenges for each other and work though this. Seriously man...you can do this. I know you can.

This happened to a close friend. He separated from her hut gave her financial support wherever he could. She's still a total bitch but he's doing everything he can to be a great dad. He's really happy with his choice to leave her but still loved his daughter and has a great life. Long story short, take responsibility with your kid but you don't have to try to love the mum.

Thanks man, really appreciate the advice. Like your idea of still maintaining our own accounts while still sharing sonewhat.

I earn double what she earns so I guess it's similar.

Totally agree here. I've just got to be conscious of recognising this.

Thanks for the advice. We don't have a family yet so that makes it easier to weigh up my options. I've stepped up the honesty and discussions with some good success. Still learning though and TRP is opening my eyes.

Cheers, I totally agree here. Acting like a kid to get her way. Definitely doesn't work with me.

You mean a joint account will happen someday? If so, this is probably a different reply than I would of expected. Care to expand?

Haha love this. I can't stand drama so a drama free life is really attractive to me.

Thanks for the post, love the calm but firm approach, this is definitely something that I'm using with great success. Seems to drive them wild when you don't bite into things.

Totally agree. Boundaries have been set with this one. The posts have been a huge help though.

Wow, Great post and you've successfully described it very well with the limited information in the post. With TRP I'm starting to understand and definitely in control a lot of the time. Really appreciate your time (and everyone's) giving me advice here. TRP for life.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
