My fiancée makes triple what I do. I do all the grocery/household items shopping, I do all the cleaning and such. He pays the mortgage. Between buying all the food, paper goods, cleaning supplies etc each month, I spend close to what I would be able to pay in rent and he doesn't have to lift a finger around the house if he doesn't want to. Given that it's a new home, we've had a lot if additional expenses, buying things to make the house "ours" but still. When he comes home to a lemony-fresh hou…

Before we got the dog, he always said he wanted one of this specific breed. Now that he is getting rid of it, it's become, "Well I only kept him for you." So. I'm not really sure anymore. I think he always wanted the dog, and because my dad died it probably seemed like the perfect time to get one. It was really a mix of his desire to have a dog and a happy girlfriend, I think.

It's not poorly behaved, for a puppy. Puppies need a lot of attention. When I'm not home, he has accidents. They don't happen when I'm home. I'm not sure if SO is ignoring him or not. He says he lets him out but I don't think he watches him to make sure he goes potty before he lets him back in. I am more so upset because of what this represents. He didn't communicate his displeasure with the dog until he was ready to give it away. That's what really irks me. I knew he wasn't as into taking care …

My mother always got up with my father, no matter what hour he had to work. I'm always up before my SO is anyways, so I turn on the coffee, take care of the dog and so on. Sometimes I have to get up for work hours before he does though. I still set up the coffee for him so all he has to do is turn it on.

My father died earlier this year, shortly before our 3 year anniversary. I had mentioned it to my SO in passing. The day of our anniversary, we went to visit a litter of puppies that needed adopting (we adopted one when they were old enough to leave the mom) The next day he says, "Isn't our anniversary next Tuesday?" I had no idea he had forgotten. It worked out nicely; what could really have been a better date than playing with some 6 week old puppies? I told him that was the perfect anniversar…

I like hardcore and punk, weightlifting and I enjoy beer over wine or mixed drinks. I occasionally grunt while attempting bodyweight pull ups. I'm also not really muscular (lanky body type so no muscles for me). I still feel feminine and I think my SO would laugh if anyone asked if I intimidated him or if he found me too masculine. You can like masculine things and still be feminine. I see them as things that make me interesting, just like any other hobby. However, having a feminine hobby or two…

I can really empathize here, I'm 25 and my SO is 30. He was engaged previously and she dumped him. We've been together for 3 years. He says he loves me all the time now, but not at first. Even still, he never says it in a "serious" tone, almost always in a more playful and non-committal way. Doing things that show love are more important than words, but the words are nice too from time to time. Do you want yo get married in the future? Does he? Do your opinions align with one another? If they do…

My SO had gallbladder disease. He would be doubled over in pain sometimes and it frequently irritated him on a daily basis. He developed it before I met him, but as time went by he became used to the pain so he really didn't notice how often he'd mention it bugging him. After a few severe attacks, I made him promise me that he'd go to the hospital if the pain lasted more than 4 hours. He asked what would happen if he didn't. I was studying nutrition and disease in school at the time, so I showed…

My mom was 38 when she had me, my father was 40. I'm the youngest and am 9 years younger than my brother. My father passed away three months before I graduated college. It sucked. I decided a long time ago I would not be having children after 30. Maybe 32 if my SO really wants another one. I always felt like I was a burden because my parents just didn't have the energy to keep up with me. I wanted to play, my mom wanted to nap after doing housework. She was a great mom, she stayed at home and to…

If it's something I can just fix myself afterwards (folding things, cleaning the sink post-shaving his face etc) I usually do it myself and don't bother saying anything. The thing I struggle with is when he puts the toilet paper or paper towels in the top shelf in the closet. I can't reach it, even with a stool. And I'm 5''8"! :/ I feel like I'm nagging when I have to ask him to get it for me so I can move it to a more easily accessible shelf. I usually just go with a "oh hon, let me do x! I got…

I went out to dinner with my boyfriend for a date night this weekend. I was the only female in the bar not wearing black or gray. People stated at me (I was wearing a red polka dot knee length fit and flare dress. I definitely stood out lol). I did not realize how feminine I actually am until I was waiting in line for the bathroom and this woman built like a linebacker wearing clothes two sizes too small started loudly complaining about her boyfriends inability to accommodate her, on her cellpho…

I feel that my boyfriend is very RP, and honestly starting reading this website among others on a whim. I saw an article by ROK and thought that many if their values matched his, and started a quest to find more info so I could be a better girlfriend for him. It's not a thing I've discussed with him, but I see response. I know exactly what he'd say if I ever showed him any of the RP websites; "I don't need a website to be alpha, I'm the man. Glad you want to work on yourself though." Lol. He pro…

We went to visit his uncle, who lives in a very rural town, right? So, SO has a few drinks and around 8pm he wants dessert. There were no desserts, and everything except the corner store was closed. So, I made cobbler with a box of bisquick and some blueberries and cherries from the garden. Good times, happy men.

Perhaps the majority of men in your age group feel that way, but not all. I went on a lot of first dates with guys my age (20-23) that lead nowhere because I wouldn't go home with them. These were mainly guys met at the gym, or people my friends set me up with. For a long time, I never thought I'd find another relationship after my high school sweetheart and I ended things. Then one day, I met my SO. I was waiting for my class to start and had passed him on the stairs outside. Well, he followed …

Thanks! =D unfortunately I forgot to save my password and had to make a new name because I also neglected to register an email address. Sigh.
