It's not about being shamed. It's about balance.

Pretty solid summary.

Well, I don't know what to tell you. I've come across this quite a bit. If you're too needy, it doesn't matter how great you are- it will turn a ton of people off.

It's better to go out hoping you'll run into someone, then not go out at all especially if you do it with friends. I don't agree with the RP philosophy below (play stupid games, win stupid prizes) but seeing or even just hanging out with others, is important. It helps keep a realistic eye on the situation while reminding us of our options and life outside of dating.

I actually don't have a lot of experience with dark triad people. I tend to screen everyone coming in my life pretty heavily. With that being said, I have heard branch stories and especially that of dark triad women.

This post is not based just on him or is it black and white. Signs does not mean confirmation. It's also based on other friends, especially my female ones. For women, I'd give slightly different advice under the, 'idealism' category.

The "and" is important. Responding quick to messages despite pop-culture telling us it's a huge red flag, isn't (in my opinion). I respond fast when I don't care and if the person is right for me, they won't mind my texting speed. It's the desperation attached that makes the red flag.

Just observing, I'm no one special. I think most people already knew this deep down but it just needed to be written out.

Get where you're coming from. To me, I'd probably ask myself why I'm so concerned in the first place finding someone. If I'm scared to be alone- why? Will I die? No. Will I be lonely? Sure but loneliness is apart of living. Everyone at some point gets lonely and we should because it tells us that we value other people. Some get more lonelier than others and while it's an uncomfortable feeling, the loneliness doesn't necessary point to finding a partner. It points to making connections around you…

It's common for people to yearn after someone. Often when we are stuck, it's a good indication that the person may have shown up in our life at a time when we were deeply unhappy with ourselves causing us to latch on to them. Taking time to create the vision of yourself you want to be, designing the steps towards it, will eventually (hopefully), get you out of that hole. It's not about her, it's about you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
