Right? Tell me you’re lame and bored without telling Me you’re lame and bored..

That’s pretty lame too.

It was a bad comparison originally, So we just pulled an uno reverse and brought up OG GoT when that was not even the original context/comparison. It’s silly.

I really will never understand people, male or female, who actually want to argue or piss and moan over violence in an obviously overly-violent tv show have too much free time. None of the violence bothered me. Either the violence against males or females. I read the books and know the show is violent. Either watch it and accept it or don’t watch.

How do you know there wasn’t a trial? And again, I think if you watch that kind of show and piss and moan about the violence, you’re a nimrod and just shouldn’t watch.

I agree.

If it’s rape if a man does it, it’s rape if a female Does it. Coercion, forcibly raping a man, drugging and raping men, forcible touching the genitalia when it Is unwanted.. I mean it’s not ok for the goose it’s not ok for the gander.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 07:31 PM

As a woman, I would feel just as apathetic about a female rapist having her genitalia mutilated as I would a male one. Rapists are scum no matter the gender.

You didn’t elaborate, and you edited your comment with no citation making you a disingenuous person to try and have a conversation with. He elaborated and fleshed out his argument. You did not. Also, Reddit Cares wasn’t necessary. There’s nothing wrong with me. Also… it’s “whether”. Not “weather”. Edit to add- also blocked me. You are acting like a child.

I didn’t look at it that way, since it didn’t seem that the queen was ok with what was happening. Granted, if I had to choose between myself or my child, my child wins every time. But yes. I agree the disturbing part was not consulting her at all. Good points.

Hey, I don’t disagree with you. I didn’t know we were going to pull directly an example from a completely different series but I don’t disagree with you. I found the Theon thing a bit gratuitous myself. Ok since you edited your comment afterwards without edit citation I guess I will as well. I have been raped. And I promise you, there are moments-many of them-where if feels like murder would have been more humane. I would assume your thought process stems from the fact you have not been a victim…

Actually, the whole point of showing the graphic nature of the c-section was to show how pointless it was. The baby died. And V realized he already had a competent heir in his daughter. Don’t get me wrong, neither of these scenes bothered me to the point I felt the need to write a post about it. But the whole point of the c-section was to show it had no good reason and was a pointless murder of a devoted queen. It also was not a punishment for a violent crime, like rape. And yes, female rapists …

Sooooo… his castration was a punishment for his actions. Not senseless violence against a male for utterly no reason. Edit since I can’t reply directly I’ll answer u/alexanderthegreathe directly Actually yes. I even made that point in another comment. So yeah. Didn’t have an issue with it . Then again I think if you watch a show such a HotD or GoT and you are annoyed at any of the violence, you just should not watch

He was a rapist. Since the original Commenter blocked me here is my comment to DnDad as I’m unable to reply directly. I didn’t say that. I didn’t really find the Cersei scene upsetting.. she wound up moaning. It’s a poorly-written scene all across the board. So I chalk that up to bad writing. And I wasn’t one of those outraged.. I knew what the show would be like and accepted that when I watched it. I’d read the books. Characters like Ramsay are way worse in the books. I definitely thought Cerse…

Wait.. you think the rapist wasn’t worthy of castration? Not arguing, just trying to figure out your thought process. And yes, I think female rapists ( yea it happens) should get a similar treatment. Sic Semper rapists. Female or male

This surprises me because my husband was the one who wanted our boys circumcised. Is that something most men regret being done to them?

They can drive to another state or get the pill delivered. Oh it’s that simple? Ok. I’ll let the women know that are financially unable to do so. Most women cannot afford to do so. And companies will not deliver the abortion pill to women who live in states where it is illegal. So try as you might, you can not separate the rights you want with abortion rights. And you should well know you can’t get feminists to do jack shit. And again..( I’ll say it again. And Im the one with reading incomprehen…

I’m not a feminist. And I’m starting to think you aren’t interested in legitimate dialogue. You’re cherry-picking snippets of my comments, without addressing my very valid points, and simply deflecting by calling me a feminist. Which, isn’t true. I Don’t agree with them and trust me, they certainly Do not care for me and my views. I mean.. are you just angry because you don’t get laid so you hate women? Not being snarky it is a legitimate question. Because you are really combative with women and…

I don’t know. Ask a feminist. You got the wrong chick if you’re looking for one now. Again you’re lumping feminists and women in general together. Not a good look if you’re trying for legitimate dialogue here. Or maybe you just hate and resent women and you’re projecting that disdain on all women.
/r/MensRights15/08/22 04:08 PM

That is a completely irrelevant comparison. You cannot conflate a violent sexual crime to a possible result of Consensual sexual contact. And I agree with you, Most men wouldn’t want or do that. I never said anything about men and rape. But you’re conflating two very different issues. I’ll Say it again; Man or woman, abstain, jerk off, get a vasectomy or use other forms of permanent or long term high efficacy birth control, be choosy about your partners. Or accept you might become a parent” That…

I am not a feminist, nor am I opposed to equal rights for men. I’m saying to everyone, man or woman “ Abstain, use long term high-efficacy bc, or accept you might become a parent.” Codifying abortion access would help, but you don’t seem to be interested in that. Why should women help your cause? You’re not helping yourself by being combative to anyone with tits.

I stopped reading at about the third time you lumped me in with feminists. Trust me, I’m not. Feminists hate me. So yeah.. if you can’t comprehend that I can hold a different view and not be a feminist then I have no desire to have a conversation with you. Im sorry you hate women and are so angry. But that gives you more in common with feminists than I’ve got. They’re also angry and hate the opposite sex . You are calling me a feminist because I think differently than you? You’re not only painting With a broad brush ( never accurate) you’re assuming something that isn’t true. Trust me, I don’t have much if anythings in common with modern feminists. I simply preach equal responsibility for joint actions. Want to have sex? Ok, sleep with anyone that will have you. But that doesn’t clear you from potential responsibility that may come as a result. Man or woman. Um… I would never advocate for a man to…

No no.. because scientific publications I have found have said reversal rates of success were extraordinarily high. Another gentlemen made a far better point than yours, to be honest. Check out his comment. Utterly irrefutable. And I totally can concede that. Anyway, like I said in another reply.. right now you can’t really separate abortion rights with men’s rights. If you want that freedom, then please help women get that right back.
/r/MensRights15/08/22 02:37 PM

To be honest, I never considered abandoning a child as a mother ( I guess because I understand that far less than aborting) with zero financial consequences. But you’re right. They can. And that is, strictly speaking, unfair. You make a solid point, sir.

Uh Quora is not a reliable anything. Not sure why you felt that was some kind of resource. Anyway, asking men to do the same thing many women are having to do right now. You can’t really separate abortion rights and the topic at hand because they’re intimately linked. Currently a woman who gets pregnant doesn’t have much choice in whether or not she carries to term in many cases. That’s not a woman trapping a man or feminist garbage. And according to the Mayo Clinic nearly all vasectomies are re…

That’s what the government should do with women who make the financially irresponsible decision to have a baby with a man who didn’t consent to it. Or some such. Again, I say.. be choosy about your partners. Ask beforehand what they would do in that instance, and let them know you do not consent to fathering a child. Or, or.. and I know this is a stretch here, but maybe you should get a vasectomy if you feel so strongly about not being a father. And should you change your mind in the future, the…

I don’t think so because the point of child support is making sure the child has its needs met. And whether or not one wanted to become a parent, it’s no longer about them. It’s about their child. I do see the points you make. And they are valid. It’s just that I’m this scenario there is an innocent child who is yours that might suffer either financial or emotional hardships. Studies have shown what negative effects come from lack of fathers. So I guess I don’t understand why anyone would abando…

Hey. Woman lurker here. I’d like to share my story. I had hetero parents. And while they love me, they were more interested in battling each other than raising me. In steps my dad who didn’t have to be a dad- who was a gay man. He and his partner gave me all the attention, love and support in the world. I will be the first person to stand up and say gay couples are absolutely every bit as fit to parent as any hetero person. Period.

Same. My husband has “his space” and I am allowed to claim the rest of the house. It’s a good deal For me. I’m not complaining at all and respect his “manly space”. I don’t like to be bothered when I’m in my bathroom, I’m not going to bother him when he’s in the garage or hanging out with the animals. ( we farm). But then again, we have a more traditional marriage.

Yes. I’m a woman and feminism as it looks today is hurting women. Nowadays you can’t even protect women’s spaces ( ie women’s sports) without being labeled a bigot by ultra-feminists. Which is so odd to me but whatever. And if you say “hey, I wanted to be a SAHM, and my job is just as important as any other job and this was my choice,” that’s not ok either and they will accuse you of “supporting the patriarchy” or some such nonsense. Dude get out if you can. I realize how hard it is in reality. Consult with a lawyer. In fact, if you really want to play dirty, you can get a consult with every divorce lawyer in town before she knows what’s up. Then if you do file, she will have a hard time finding an attorney. After consulting with you, taking her as a client would be conflict of interest. But I know how hard it is to leave when there are kids involved. I’m not about to guilt and shame you. I’m a woman, and I 100% agree with you- toxicity is the issue. And I’ve never heard of “toxic feminism or femininity” but I absolutely agree it’s a “thing” and should be treated with the same disdain as “toxic masculinity”. I don’t know how it feels to be a man. I’m very sorry that happened to you. It would be nice if certain professions- like psychiatry- did not have members of its ranks who have some serious sexism issues and archaic ideas of gender norms. Unfortunately, they do. That being said, it may not be out and out misandry. Could be that you had two different providers. There are literally no objective “facts” you’re presenting! You realize this, right? You are not spouting anything that would pass as a “fact”. Like.. nothing. Where are you getting your “majority” from? Links? Anything? No? Then shut the fuck up. For someone who is a man now, you’re acting more like your version of feminists than I ever could- angry, hostile, irrational. Not a good look. Come at me with facts, not incorrect assumptions that come from your own self-loathing.

I didn’t say men were delusional. I said you were delusional. That’s not gaslighting. It’s the truth. Have you noticed how literally NOBODY is jumping to in the agree with you? Or even upvote your comments? Because you’re a certifiable whack job. Having feminist ideals doesn’t make me part of a hate group. And calling feminism a hate group is, in fact, delusional. So find a male therapist. I can tell you straight up any respectable therapy group would not bat an eye if someone were to say “ Hey, due to my past traumas, I need to see a male.” It happens all the time. I only see female physicians and therapists, because that’s what I’m most comfortable with. So that, to me, is more of an excuse to not seek help than a valid reason.

I don’t necessarily disbelieve you. I’m simply stating to continue to live in such a way is a choice. There’s mental health resources( covered even under Medicaid and available through apps and via telehealth) and there are also ways to connect to other like-minded, similar individuals of either gender. People don’t have to live a shit life. But it’s easier to be angry and blame other people. I simply think many of these folks would benefit from a hardcore introspection, and ditching the stigma …

Just out of curiosity.. are you guys in favor of choice for a woman should she become pregnant? Sincerely not wishing to argue.. genuinely curious.
