He will be the type to resent having children when life changes for him. He doesn’t want them and at the same time he is trying to make you happy. He likes the status quo.

Gambling is a very serious addiction. Google search showed only 30-50% of gambling addicts recover. There are some odds you should know. I personally would not ever be able to trust him again. He’s burning your future to the ground.

Woman here. Does she though? She doesn’t or you wouldn’t feel like you lost progress. You had a moment where you broke down and cared. That’s not a contract.

Woman here. There’s good in every relationship. That sounds like a good memory. It’s fine to remember times in your life when you were happy. It doesn’t matter how things ended. A glimpse back at a good time is fine. You are moving forward and happy. Peace.

I’m a woman who wants to say they are provoking you for something to use in court against you. Keep your cool no matter what happens. If there was ever a time to take the high road, it’s now.

Do not pine for a woman who doesn’t know her son. Man, I have so much respect for you and how you’re holding it down. Take time on your birthday to realize you are really better off. It may not feel like it, but, you know it’s true.

Start with the planning. It sounds legendary.

Second a switch of therapists. They may have got you to where you are now, however, it sounds like you have outgrown them. Your height is not your enemy. Your thoughts are.

You still talking? If you want to send her into overdrive.

Hard agree. It could take several therapists to find the one you click with, don’t give up.

What struck me was that absolute gem from your therapist. That just resonates. Your resolve is strong now. That’s part of forward momentum.

No! You sit back, live your life for you. She will probably implode and you will watch from the sidelines. It’s a spectator sport for you.

I’m sorry that your sperm donor and your slut of a wife committed the ultimate betrayal. I’m fucking outraged for you. Two skanks. I would name and shame those two and let them explain it.

Probably has some guilt around that aunt/relationship and is looking for a scapegoat. Do not engage.

You show your kids how much you love them with quality time. Real quality time. You listen and teach at their level. You pay attention to them when you have them. They will love you for this. It’s a better alternative than raising them in an unhappy home.

Do not make your stbx jealous or offended by dating right now. It will cost you in the divorce. Use the utmost discretion.

Being alone takes practice when you’ve never been alone. You will get through it. You might grow to enjoy it like me.

Thats your house. It’s up to her to do her part to keep the peace at home and you’ll do the same. Lawyer up immediately.

It’s a hard day. Take the time to reflect on the past. Remember to set your sights on your future. It’s going to be ok soon enough.

The things that you miss just don’t exist anymore. That’s ok. As painful as the holidays are, you made it. Next year will be better. Be kind to yourself, give yourself grace. The whole thing is hard. I know you’ll find your way.

Something tells me that you should get custody agreement pinned down before you ruffle the feathers of your ex.

I think that healing happens so incrementally that it’s sometimes hard to notice your progress. It’s all forward motion, even when you feel stuck. Holidays seem to magnify feelings of frustration at not being where you want to be. Hang in there! You’re better than you were and you’ll be better than that in the future.

Woman aren’t exactly lining up for a guy with a mommy fetish. I would be shocked if they continue.

It’s not real. It’s a fleeting feeling just like you called it. Don’t let her twist you up like that. You’ve got to preserve the life you’ve started. You are Mr. Right Now.

You’ll get through it. I promise you. Antidepressants will stop the free fall and allow you to breathe. When I was prescribed them, suicidal ideation disappeared. That allowed me to stabilize and recover. Hang in there.

That’s rough to feel that way and I can empathize with that. You miss rallying to get through a situation. You want to help. That’s the good person you are. You know that you could never be happy with your cheating ex, you’re missing the family connection.

You are beating yourself up over basic human decency and kindness. Just get right back up. Know you’re a great Dad, friend, family member and loyal af. Bring that loyalty back to your self and children. You handled a crisis with aplomb. That is all. She’s not your woman anymore, just the mother of your children. You had a glimpse of the past and you liked it. That time is over. Keep going forward and don’t dwell on this temporary time.

Don’t beat yourself up looking for fault. She did it. You didn’t. Some people just can’t stay faithful when any opportunity presents itself. New attention plays to their vanity. That’s your answer. She can’t admit guilt. An apology or explanation won’t be given as it makes them accountable.

You’ll never get over the betrayal. In two years when you’re solidified in wanting a divorce, it’s lifetime alimony.

You got custody. That’s not humiliating that’s inspirational. You have the most impact on your child and they will benefit from it.

Lawyer up and get paid for the work you have done. You will have trouble with housing. You need to get what you can since she’s getting the house. You’ve got to be set up to receive your children in an environment that they will really be comfortable in. That takes money.

Coparent using a communication app only. I have not used it but I see here that it clears up a lot of issues with communication. Find out more about that and start documenting things like the sick days. Build your information up to go back to court. More custody equals less cs.

You should think about a vasectomy. No need to let your family know.

Yes I agree. Spend for a good lawyer because you are going to need adequate representation. Get the kids. You’re not going to like her post break up lifestyle. You’re not going to want your kids with a mother who has continued legal troubles.

Get a lawyer now. That’s a pretty good deal for her. You need to protect yourself. Absolutely fight hard for custody to be split.

That was your ex wife’s doing. I get why you’re disgusted. I hope you come to peace and don’t forget to cut them out of the will.
