"Dating for men is so easy. You have to be normal" Is one of the most cringe and false statements of all timeI grew up around women and most of my friends growing up have been women so that honestly tracks. For what it’s worth this is like my first time commenting here, so I’m kinda in the same boat, I just like watching people argue on here. Ngl I see it decently often, where women will take a massive sacrifice in looks or competence if the guy has some other stuff working for him. I feel like it’s also been internalized through media while I was growing up. The dumb ugly husband trope was prevalent t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/02/26 02:47 AM
| – | "Dating for men is so easy. You have to be normal" Is one of the most cringe and false statements of all timeThis has been obvious to me forever, but I’ve only seen women say as much over the past year. One of the larger trends I’m seeing over the past year is women being more comfortable saying looks matter as much as they do. If I said the bar is on the floor for these restaurants, would I be talking about the food, the service, or both? Given that both matter in terms of how much I like the restaurant. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/02/26 11:15 PM |
Would you rather get the amount of attention women get, or amount of attention the average men get?I’m not sure what you’re getting at with your second paragraph, or why you’re being combative. I’m just stating some fears I’ve had as a man, I’m by no means trying to dismiss women fears. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/10/22 11:12 PM
Would you rather get the amount of attention women get, or amount of attention the average men get?I’m not arguing which is worse which is what I meant by different fear. For men often it’s a different threat but far from non existent. For example, My first girl friend was physically abusive but I couldn’t go to anyone about it or find any proper support because of the demographic that I fall into. My recent gf was emotionally abusive and eventually played a majority role in me losing a 110k year job, a fall that took me 2 years to recover from. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/10/22 11:03 PM
Would you rather get the amount of attention women get, or amount of attention the average men get?Honestly as a black guy, just about any woman could ruin my life by accusing me of just about anything. It’s a different fear but I hold it in my day to day and when I go out to meet women | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/10/22 10:43 PM
What are true red flags in a potential spouse? Not OP but even if not her fault they can cause issues. For example my ex had verbally abusive parents that would argue with her over the smallest things. Guess how she was with me... It sucks her parents were like that, but in being in a relationship with her I'm dealing with the result along with her. When we were just friends that issue never reared it's head. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/09/22 01:13 PM
