This has been obvious to me forever, but I’ve only seen women say as much over the past year. One of the larger trends I’m seeing over the past year is women being more comfortable saying looks matter as much as they do. If I said the bar is on the floor for these restaurants, would I be talking about the food, the service, or both? Given that both matter in terms of how much I like the restaurant.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at with your second paragraph, or why you’re being combative. I’m just stating some fears I’ve had as a man, I’m by no means trying to dismiss women fears.

I’m not arguing which is worse which is what I meant by different fear. For men often it’s a different threat but far from non existent. For example, My first girl friend was physically abusive but I couldn’t go to anyone about it or find any proper support because of the demographic that I fall into. My recent gf was emotionally abusive and eventually played a majority role in me losing a 110k year job, a fall that took me 2 years to recover from.

Honestly as a black guy, just about any woman could ruin my life by accusing me of just about anything. It’s a different fear but I hold it in my day to day and when I go out to meet women

Not OP but even if not her fault they can cause issues. For example my ex had verbally abusive parents that would argue with her over the smallest things. Guess how she was with me... It sucks her parents were like that, but in being in a relationship with her I'm dealing with the result along with her. When we were just friends that issue never reared it's head.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
