5	When They See Us Exactly. Black men are, at the moment, one of the worst performing academically and less likely than black women and white men/women to escape poverty if they are born into it. The incomes of black men are a much larger contributor to the interracial wage gap than those of black women. Then there is incarceration and the rampant single motherhood.
