Ugh it was so hard too when my mom was into the Qanon thing, she wouldn’t stop talking about children being hidden in tunnels and adrenochrome It was unbearable being around her. It does worry me for her daughter my friend started dating this guy before the divorce papers were even filed, wanting to move in with him a few months in, when I mentioned maybe waiting a year to move in I was ignored so I feel like my hands are tied.

Yeah you’re right, I had to do that with my mom whenever she would bring up QAnon, she finally stopped bringing it up.

Yes exactly. It’s especially hard seeing my friend sucked into it, during her last marriage she did everything right, and her husband was a complete letdown in every sense of the word.

I don’t wear makeup so I won’t get attention from men. I want to go out in public at not be bothered. It’s comfortable. I do feel more attractive and put together wearing it, but if I’m going out alone I want to draw as little attention as possible (I’ve been followed before). Wearing makeup makes my skin tone look more even/healthy, women at work when I haven’t worn makeup will ask are you tired or sick? It’s rude.

At my job parents get 12 weeks unpaid, that has to hurt financially to the parents taking it, crazy it’s not paid something. What also sucks though which is the companies fault, they will not hire help to fill in for the person going out on maternity leave(corporation trying to save money and be cheap as possible). Of course parents should have maternity leave and be able to return to work, but its hard being the staff having to carry the weight and do more work for the same pay. Temporary help …

We don’t really see the drunk dad thing (I’m sure are plenty of drunk dads, my dad was an alcoholic)like we see the wine mom trope. Hell there’s even wine mom merchandise 😅

Looking briefly at antidepressant statistics women in general are more likely to be on antidepressants. Don’t know if that is mostly hormone related. Also women are probably more likely to seek treatment for mental health issues. Suicide stats men are 3 to 4 times more likely to kill themselves (specifically older men)

I agree with you here-Most moms I know seem to be stressed and tired all the time. Not to mention if they have kids with mental issues, special needs and they don’t have help from family. Some parents I know have troubles with their adult children being on hard drugs and moving back home in their 40s, they can’t hold a job. I personally know a family that has two sons like this. That sounds miserable. As a single woman to be able to afford to live alone in this economy is like a luxury, so for m…

I’m 33f and the last two serious relationships the guys were in a rush to have kids. Led to the end of the relationship. I couldn’t take the pressure.

What about women that let themselves go after marriage? I know a couple that married in early 20s, at the time she 120lbs and put effort into her appearance. 25 years later she has never worked(she has a masters in teaching)was a stay at home mom/housewife, they have two teenage kids, the husband makes 200k a year. She is over 200lbs now and doesn’t put any effort into her appearance. I suspect the husband is cheating and plotting divorce.

I’m 33f and I’ve been consistently sexually harassed at my job since I was 20. From 70 year old terminally ill married men to 20 year olds. The 70 year old would hide in a closet and call me when he was off of work. He got my phone number out of the office without my permission. I’ve had some scary encounters in the past year, been followed from the gym, quit going to the gym. Another incident a fender bender with a drunk man and he tried getting in my car and made a rape threat. I left the scen…

She also got his pension(half), and he had to sell his truck and motorcycles.

My boyfriend lost his house and half of his 401k to his ex wife. Married 10 years no kids.

Men say they don’t care until the event of the divorce when the stay at home wife/parent gets half of the 401k and keeps the house.

My grandma was married and widowed and was a cat lady longer than she was a wife. She was very happy.

Being at home with kids would be like an extended vacation imo. The working moms I know seem constantly exhausted and burned out.

This is so true. Not everyone is capable of providing financially for a family. A lot more people can easily stay at home. Especially the more introverted types that don’t need as much adult interaction on a daily basis.

I don’t know, I’ve seen single moms with one/two kids land a successful guy with no kids. The single mom then has a kid with the guy with no kids.

Same I look better at 32 than I did at 22. I think I looked my best at 28+ I take care of my skin, eat healthy and workout.

I also tried online dating in my early thirties and had no problems finding high quality men and I don’t want kids. In my experience dating men in their 30’s and older they were the ones who had baby fever. It was shocking to me to say the least lol.

It’s a revenge fantasy. I get more attention and better quality men in my 30’s than I did in my 20s. I eat healthy, workout and take care of myself.

I know what you mean. I’ve been in more than one relationship where the guy made less money than me. We couldn’t travel or participate in the same hobbies because we weren’t financially on the same level. I regret it looking back. 31f now I’m with a man that makes what I make and I could never go back

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
