Much appreciated. My story does not deserve hyperbole, so I didn't include it in there! Although TRP does sell itself well with doom and gloom and wild "success" stories, which may or may not be made up, and which may or may not be desirable long term for both participants in a mutual relationship.

No we remain monogamous, and that hasn't actually been a consideration for us, although we know people who are polyamorous, and I don't particularly mind what other people do. It's just not something that we think would work for us, in particular.

I don't see it as an issue, but I am also not familiar with the context of the remark. If he is saying "She's a pretty woman, sorry for saying that!" then I don't really get where he's coming from, personally. But if he saying something more along the lines of "My eyes were drawn right to her butt, and I'm sorry to any of my readers who find that objectifying." One is prostrating. The other is acknowledgement.

Yeah my personality kind of naturally gravitates away from masculine action, although I will say my father was a very good role model for general life stuff, and he's a big reason for me pushing myself through STEM and into graduate studies. > Though I've never been in an LTR, I looked for advice because I felt (and still do in some regards) unwanted by society. I followed RP advice pretty hard, ignoring the toxic mindsets, but sort of caught myself developing those mindsets once I started havin…

I agree with pretty much everything you expound on. Particularly the point of taking what you need and discarding the rest. I DO know what it's like to be in the desperate position of having done "everything right," and still not being successful with people. I was able to overcome that, though. This is very true. But as much as we don't want to admit it, every relationship is transactional. It's just how it is. If you stop being and doing for your partner what makes them happy, they will leave.…

No bonfires in my soul. Life is weird, and shit happens. You are correct that I was generally in the married red pill kind of stuff, particularly MMSL. But the main TRP forum was my home for quite a while. When they do finally 'attain sex', they treat it like they just leveled up and this amazing thing happened. See, that's one thing. Sometimes I wonder if it was the sex they wanted all along. I am in a position now where literally whenever I want sex my wife is down for it. This was not always …

I haven't seen Californication, but the democratization of the Internet means that there is kind of a lack of counterculture these days. By that I mean that I, personally, as a "not that old" guy, have absolutely no clue about what music is popular now, and I genuinely have no clue about who these people are that show up on my feed. It's probably to my detriment, but I've always preferred what I prefer, and that was classical music and then heavy metal, particular NWoBM stuff like Maiden and Pri…

First, a counterquestion: why is this viewed as an automatic weakness in your mind? If I were to have the stones to recognize that I have specific views that may be an issue to some people, that's just a recognition, not weakness. The guy in question apologizing for those views is just recognizing that he has them. Far weaker would be to have those views and not espouse them at all. > And I see this weakness in other media where there are hundreds of article written by self hating men who seem a…

> Do you agree that a relationship were the man has multiple women and the woman one man is the best relationship for a man? Why or Why not? Not necessarily. I find myself at a point in life where I am happy to juggle the needs of one woman rather than many, for example. There are plenty of different kinds of relationships, and for a lot of people the scenario you pose is ideal. For a lot of other people (like me), it wouldn't be ideal at all, because I like peace in my life. And I don't need mu…

Frankly? Myself. I went through a bad point in my marriage that led me to the red pill, about 6 years ago. Long story that I won't recount. Very painful. I gravitated toward the entire manosphere, though mainly toward Athol Kay, who seemed pretty grounded. I didn't care for the more blatantly oddball folks out there like RooshV and so on. I worked on myself a bit, got out of a mode where I was emotionally needy, but pushing beyond that into "alpha" wasn't really something that suited me, and, as…
